A "cool, hip crowd" piles into this "bustling Yaletown fish house" to "slurp the freshest oysters in town" enjoyed alongside other "tasty" seafood dishes; a "rough-and-tumble, friendly crew" creates a "partylike" atmosphere in the "funky", "casual" space, making it a "favourite" for a "fun night out."

A no-nonsense fishing shack dedicated to the glories of bivalves. Flirty counterman work their magic on cougars and West End boys, shucking up to 5,000 oysters a week. This place is serious fun, a carbon copy of Rodney's in Toronto. But it feels more like Halifax: the staff is genuinely friendly in a way that sometimes goes unappreciated here. Fish and chips for lunch on a Friday or the... more

I was looking for seafood and saw this to be the most highly recommended location for Rodney's Oyster House. We made a reservation and got a great table. I was a bit surprised that the menu is true to the restaurant name. Mostly oysters on the menu and we went with the flow and they were delicious ! Also ordered the scallop pasta. You won't find the typical seafood menu items like sword fish or... more

Service was great, and raw oysters were so nice and fresh! My wife is not a lover of most oysters but she loves their oyster. Will definitely come back next time when we visit Vancouver again.

It's a nice seaside interior decor. The service was good and they were all friendly. The kid in the group did not feel it was a place for kids. The wheat beer on tap was good. The New England clam chowder was ok as was the corn chowder. I do appreciate that they had a vegetarian chowder as an option. The crab cakes and the garlic shrimp were ok. The scallops were tasty and prepared well. The... more

Simple, fresh food in a casual setting. Situated in a revamped turn-of-the-century warehouse, Rodney's Oyster House has concrete floors, stainless steel oyster bars and counters, and a very nautical feel. It is usually filled with casual young professionals slurping down oysters, after finishing slaving away at their jobs in the area. There are oysters aplenty, from local varieties to imported... more
