Excellent food
01 août 2014Know what you're embarquing on before you settle for Zyara. It's not a fast pace restaurant for people in a hurry....it's a place you go with friends for a 2-3-4 hour meal and fun. A tad on the noisy side but that's fine with me. The food is outstanding and there's a lot of it.. no one will walk out of there hungry... plus

Second time was not the charm

Different and fun if you know what to expect

Let me start by saying that I was born and raised in Lebanon, so I know good Lebanese food when I see it and taste it.
I took my cousin there for her birthday and what a treat it was!

Me and my wife where very impressed with the food quality. The wine choice was great.
Only issue is that the service was a little slow sometime throughout the evening.Try the degustation menu... It's a lot of food for the price. All is very good.

I have to start this review by saying that we were a large group, so I understand that things will take a bit longer than if we were just a table of four. That said, the evening really did not start off on a good foot and it got less impressive from there.

Très beau décor, belle vaisselle et tout est raffiné. La bouffe est très bonne aussi et le service excellent. On nous a conseillé le menu de groupe et c'était très bon. Une grande variété, pour goûter un peu à tout.
Merci de nous avoir permis d'avoir un restaurant oriental à la rive sud.

Good ambiance but lacks imagination for degustation menu

We found the place absolutely gorgeous and the service was good. We tried the degustation menu but were very disappointed. The starters are somewhat standard and the taste was similar to what you will get in your nearest Basha fast food restaurant: Hummus is hummus, taboulé is taboulé and salad is salad!
The pita bread is fresh and comes directly...

Authentic and Delicious
03 mai 2014I arrived for dinner at 7 p.m. on a Sunday night. I didn't expect anything to spectacular and I must say I was extremely surprised. The food was delicious! The decor was authentic and modern all at once. The wait staff were all friendly and eager to answer any questions about the menu, or help make a few selections to share the food with others in your group. I will definitely be back.

Love the Lebanese tapas

We love Lebanese food and this one comes highly recommended.
Their menu is extensive, always something good to choose from. We always order their tapas, from tabouleh, hummus, garlic potatoes, grilled shrimps, octopus, grilled eggplants to their Shish Taouk, all very fresh and delicious!
We have yet to try their main dishes...will definitely visit this place again.

A little hard to find but when you find it, you don't want to leave.
Mamhoud was our waiter. Very nice and polite.
We took the Tasting Menu. We had so much, we brought it home. Lots of food.

We went for lunch on Valentine's Day.
There were very few diners spread out in this huge place.
The decor is very nice. It probably looks even better at night.
The service was extremely slow and cold.

First thing we noticed when we entered the place is the decor. It is elegant, modern but still has that casa balance look to it! Since we made a reservation,we where quickly seated even if the restaurant was full. I was happily surprised when i saw that many lebanese and other arab families were dinning at the place.

We love this place because of the vast choice of small plates at reasonable to good value and the impeccable freshness of the ingredients.
Service is superior with friendly,but professional and knowledgeable staff.
Fattouch salad is an excellent and healthy option with the crunchy pita chips adding a nice texture.

Very disappointing
19 août 2013Fancy way of repackaging the same meals found elsewhere. Food was "OK" .. nothing to drool over. The place is new so it's still nice, but there's much MUCH better Lebanese cuisine around the city. Over hyped and over priced.

As a Lebanese living in Montreal area, i can tell this newly opened restaurant offers a variety of dishes with homemade taste and authenticity. 5/5 for food taste
As for the prices, they fall between average to high but can be explained by the location (new hip sector of the dix30) and of course the quality.

We went twice in a week, amazing decor, every single detail was perfect.could fit in a five star hotel.The food was excellent, reasonable portion but very tasty,we tried 20 different ones and being a Lebanese I can say it was one of the best Lebanese restaurant.

Delicious loungy lebanese restaurant
29 mai 2013Delicious and very good service; a place to spend a great time as a group or in a couple. They have a big outdoor veranda with shisha. Their bread (which they give in abundance) and desserts are freshly made in house and their mezzes are delicious! It's very big with high ceilings so it doesn't feel crowded or overly loud.

We went to this newly opened Lebanese restaurant. The place is quite big to accommodate all kind of parties. We were 2 couples and got seated promptly.
The waitress did not explain the concept of sharing the mezzes (like tapas) so we just ordered individually and felt that we missed out when we saw what some other tables were doing....
