I go here at least once a week for necessities, and have been for like... ever.

For certain things, you won't find a better price (except perhaps in the dregs of Chinatown, which I limit my contact with).

You'll find a bunch of random items here for cheeeeeap. Blankets. Thermal innerwear. Granny panties in size XXL. Questionable g-string underwear in size XS. Canned tuna. (I swear that's just a random sampling and not a list of supplies for a Saturday night at my place).

you know, i walked in here with no camera in tow (as from experience all yelpers can appreciate that there is a general phobia from business owners - understandable in some cases), and the people who were manning the store regarded me as suspicious. it sure felt like it. they felt like close talkers. i hate that.

Zimmerman's is one of Kensington's discount institutions for a ragtag assortment of goods, including groceries, clothes, and random household fare. It's got tradition on its side, and it keeps the old Europeans coming in for good conversation and the cheap Ragu pasta sauce. Hells, yeah!
