Unfortunatly Yvonnes Coffee Haus closed its doors Feb 28 2014 for the final time and will be greatly missed in the West Rouge community, It was a fantastic place to meet friends and make new friends and had great food.
Went to Yvonne's for the first time and can't say enough about the experience. The staff are so friendly and the food and coffee really are exceptional. Yvonne's really puts quality first and foremost. The coffee is fair trade and you can tell all the menu items and baked goods are made from scratch. This place is full of heart... more
I was getting sick of giving my coffee dollars to large corporations (Tim's, Starbucks) so I decided to meet a friend in the middle of our respective houses and found Yvonne's on the web. Admittedly a little difficult to find if you're not from the area, once we found Island Road, it wasn't hard to miss Yvonne's location.
The connection...

Whether you are grabbing coffee on your way to work, stopping in with kids or a group of friends this place welcomes with open arms. This is a truly charming, honest place with real hand made baked goods, vegetarian and gluten free options, full breakfast and lunch menu, space for hosting meetings and free wi-fi.
A fairly new little place in east Scarborough across from the Black Dog pub. The restaurant is a mix of different tables and chairs with a little area that has chess boards, magazines etc. No conformity or cookie cutter stuff. There always seems to be some interesting people every time we go there. The coffee is first rate and try... more
Yvonne's is a great local spot. Good coffee, yummy scones, eclectic decor and overall inviting.
My only wish is that they were opened on Sunday's too.
From the organic coffee and home-made meals and treats, Yvonnes place sets a new standard for 'going out for a coffee'. Styled with an artistic flair, unique furniture and cozy corners, this is a refreshingly relaxed atmosphere to really get away. Staff are friendly, you are not number 55 in the line up for a cup of java and you... more
Those in the know, know a wonderful place when they see it, and experience it. A little off the beaten path, but worth the detour. For someone looking for something a little different but not strange Yvonne's is the place. The only thing that someone might find strange is the warm, friendly service; something lacking in the dead eyed personnel... more
Amazing organic coffees, great cakes, scones and treats which are homemade. I have had a whole meal there yet but will hopefully one day. I love the atmosphere I went there for the first time at the end of April, now I go once or twice a week. I can sit on a comfy couch or chair, read a book... more
This is a cute coffee hang out in East Scarborough/ Port Union which has a neighbourhood feel. When we got there (10 am or later) we just stood like idiots waiting to be seated. We tried to ask the only employee we saw (in the kitchen) but were ignored/ not heard. So we took a table and waited and waited.... more

I visited this restaurant/coffee shop for the first time in April 2010, and was SO impressed. The location, Island Road near a garage, makes one apt to miss it initially!! The Black Dog Pub, well known and most popular local establishment, is across the road.
Yvonne's is instantly welcoming - the menu offerings are well displayed, one orders at the...
