Very friendly, great coffee and pastries. Stop by when biking and enjoying Saturna island. Make it a planned stop while on the island.
Whoever is eating at the time, will chat with you like a close neighbour. The food's a little special, the atmosphere eclectic and homey, and it's only several minutes walk from the dock. Plus, free wifi.
We always make sure to stop here on our trips to Saturna, usually twice a day - for brekkie, and for a coffee before heading off-island. Today, the cinnamon buns were excellent, the best I have had in a very long time. Love this place!
Great Place! You should go and take a seat on the bus of good food! When I go to Saturna I always stop off at the bus for some home cooked goodness!
Open early hours for breakfast before the ferry. Park in ferry line up walk to the funky old bus.Good food and coffee too.
What a fantastic find this place was. I was visiting Saturna Island so I knew I would find unique, but this was extra special. A converted bus that was brought to the island and with the help of the locals it was refurbished into the local gathering spot - at least for the first half of the day: open 7... more
Friends brought us here as a special treat and we loved it! The service was fantastic, the girls were very friendly and welcoming. The food and coffee were delicious! The coolest part hands down though is the setup, an old double decker bus, the lower half converted into a kitchen/coffee truck and the upper level is full of seating for... more
So much fun, set in a double decker bus. Lovely woman who runs it, the food was very good and perfectly placed to just park the car while waiting for the ferry. Businesses like this on Saturna deserve to thrive, they work very hard to provide good, fairly priced service, it's great to see.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the aromas wafting up the steps on Lucy the Double Decker Bus. Home Baked Pies, Vanilla Lattes, fresh baked corn bread, spicy pulled pork, and rustic corn chowder....
In a hurry... Grab'n'Go cooler is always ready when your rushing for the Ferry... Locally grown Salads, Fruit, Preseves, and a new selection of cheese.... Waiting Seven...

A fun place to stop for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee or a gourmet tea. A converted double decker bus, the kitchen is on the lower level and the dining area is above - and there is outdoor seating as well. Great wifi is provided and, above all, the food is terrific and the service is excellent!
We had a fabulous soup and sandwich here on our day trip to the island. I had a ham and swiss, on a wonderfully soft chibata bunn, filled with fresh herbs and flowers. And the lentil and veggie soup is what I would have .made myselfat home. Highly remmended, and we'll definitely be back on a future visit. We came... more
The two decker bus is almost half a century old and came to Canada for the 1978 Commonwealth Games. It`s new life as a charming and clean two storey restaurant on the wonderful isle of Saturna is fun. Offering good food, and casually personal, this is a good place to hang out with excellent wifi too. (The password is printed out... more
This quirky double deck bus cafe perched on the side of the road just above the ferry terminal is a real asset to Saturna. Open to get the early morning ferry and closed by 2 pm, though open longer on weekends. The service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Each day the menu seems to change with all... more
Freshly prepared food from local sources, fun spot, friendly intimate service. Imagine having lunch at the top of a double decker bus on Saturna
This was my second time being out to lunch on the bus, and it was just as nice as the first. We had a great lunch and enjoyed our coffee and carrot immensely. It is so nice to see such a hard working young lady do so well and we will be coming back again to enjoy another wonderful lunch... more
best place to eat on the island, it's a really cute little spot you cant miss it when you get of the ferry, head up for a drink or a great lunch
I haven't had breakfast there yet, but everytime we're on Saturna we stop in for lunch. They have an ever-changing menu featuring sandwiches made with real roast meats and thick bacon with fresh veggies on their in-shop-made focaccia and served with a nice salad or the daily soup. Nice coffee from a pender island roaster, and mighty leaf teas are... more
