Great for a drink people are nice set near the fire can walk to from Clifton Hill a good change from the Hard rocks of the world
This watering hole was an institution in the falls and always an end of night destination. Ownership changed while back and it just lost it's way.
When down in the falls for work, would always stop in the mushroom and it was always fun. The bar staff were fantastic, the prices were amazing for the area, and the locals were...

When my husband and I visited, it was your local hangout bar.. we had a few beers, and headed out no one made us feel unwelcome or unwanted like some of the posts I've seen on here, but some of them are quite a few months since our visit.. Sad to hear if it went down hill because it was... more
The Mushroom was my favorite place to go to in the Falls, before or after Casino Niagara. As many of the previous reviews stated, the place was allowed to fall apart by new ownership. What was once a great place to eat and drink, turned into an empty, hole. Sadly, during a trip to the Falls in January 2013, I... more
I loved the Mushroom, but it is shuttered, and sadly rightly so. We would often stop in for the wings. But our last time there it was not worth continuing down the stairs.Even if we wanted to we were told by the bartender they were out of food. A true Niagara Falls institution is gone for good.
What was once a popular gem, that locals were proud to boast about to tourists looking for a great pub experience, Is now just a filthy punk bar. Regulars are friends with the staff, they are rude and unwelcoming. This bar, is a perfect candidate for the show "Bar Rescue". New owners should take better care of this place and... more
This bar is not a rest. It is a disgusting hole in the ground. Manned by rude people that think that it is a favor to be served. The food was awful, I felt honestly afraid to complain. I was here a few years ago when Geoff owned the place and it was a great experience. Now it is a... more
We stayed right beside this place but it was never open. We tried several times to check it out but it was not open,
We were staying right next to this bar. My husband wanted to go in for a drink. We sat at the bar and were the only two people in the place. It was late afternoon.. My husband ordered a beer, can't screw that up. I ordered Malibu rum, pineapple and cranberry juice. I don't know what I got, but it... more
Just a little hole in the wall type place to get away from all the other busy busy tourist places. Sit down, relax and have some drinks.
Ok, maybe my husband and I are gluttons for punishment. Or maybe we were just hopeful that it HAD to have gotten better since last year. Our first night of our annual trip to Niagara Falls, we tried this again. This was Sun., Sept. 2, part of the Labor Day weekend. Let me preface this by saying the whole Niagara... more
In Niagara Falls, you will pay high prices. We found this to be a nice, dive-bar type place to have a few beers while in the area. Definitely not a top-shelf houty-touty place, nore a place for children.....but a bar nonetheless. 2 beers for $15. The wait staff was not only attentive but very personable. They made their best efforts... more
Words cannot describe just how bad this place is. My wife and I were there quite a few years ago when it was a restaurant. It has since devolved not into a "sports bar" - no, it's gone waaaayy beyond that. We should have known better when we descended into the establishment and was met by a pool table. The... more
Dirty (bathroom especially)
The TV's are not HD
The staff is nice
Lots of kids from the states taking advantage of the lower drinking age limit
Didn't order any food
2 pitchers + rum&coke + tips for less than $40 is very very nice. At least that... :)
Beer, wings and oddly enough MUSHROOM PIZZA...all excellent ...would highly recommend!
My boyfriend had been here before and said we needed to go back. It was a typical small bar. We sat at the bar and got a drink. Price was a little lower than other places we drank at. Bartender was really nice. Didn't seem like the cleanliest place, but it's good for a drink and to be away from... more
All of the bartenders were very nice, cold beer and decent food. yes the restroons need to be cleaned and the owners need to clean, but again the bartenders were great. We will go back. You need to go ok Monday for the karaoke, a p@!%!r !!!
have fun in the bar don t play slow songs in the bar
The Wild Mushroom is a great place to relax. Cheap drinks, great food & awesome staff.
I agree with the last review.I I have been going to The mushroom for about 20 years. When we went in and found the tables were dirty, the washrooms disgusting! The wings were still good, but it was sad to see one off our favorite bars fall so far down.
This is really a shame. I have been going to this restaurant every year, for many years. It is in an ideal location in Niagara Falls, close to the casino, and at this time of year, lucky to be near the Fear Factory. But I can't do it anymore.
The place came under new ownership in early-2010. I went last...

Had some beers and pizza here. Reasonable prices, good taste. Good people.
We have eaten at the Wild Mushroom several times. The place is very much of a normal bar which appears to carter to a mixed local and tourist crowd. The food is basic bar fare but was well prepared and tasty. We would eat there again.
This is your typical dive bar with a dark dingy interior and horribly disgusting washrooms. That said, if you like dives, this is a great place among the commercialized c@!p that is Niagara Falls. Cold beer, friendly bartenders, and great wings. But stay away from the pizza. It's horrendously terrible.
After reading the many poor reviews on here I wonder if I was in the right place. It is a local bar that is dark, but the dining area seems clean. The restrooms were as others have said dingy and could use a cleaning. They do appear to have been redone recently and torn apart by the patrons afterwards. The... more
I loved it here! Monday night karaoke was amazing and the drinks are the best! There's great house cocktails, something Kermit was a personal favorite. A must-visit when at Niagara Falls, ON!!
Went here with my parents and two small children. The crowd was kinda Rudy but the food was good, the service very friendly. Restrooms could be cleaned a bit and wouldn't go back there with the kids.
This is the type of bar where you stop in for a few beers and a bite to eat. It is not a gourmet tourist destination. They are very serious about their hockey and it makes for a fun evening if you enjoy being with the locals. We have been going there for years. Friday evenings are packed with the... more
To start off, I am a local, lived int he area for mean years. For the first time, I decide to go to the wild mushroom. I had heard nothing but good things about it, since a few of my friends have worked there, or are regulars there.
Well, after I had had two drinks my friend who was carrying...

Good food, good atmosphere, good selection of drinks and great bar tenders. Both the owner (Geoff) and all of the staff are helpful, friendly and far more than competent. If you want to meet the locals, this is a great place to go.
Uncooked food, unfriendly people. On top of that unclear pricing. Place is a health hazard.
Where do we start? After a 3 day vacation we still had not received our food, and all we ordered were beers and wings. From the moment we walked in to this dark, dingy, uncleanly dungeon we knew there was a good chance we may not make it out in one piece. We made it, but we were freezing cold... more
Some of the reviews on here seem a little rough, but my friends and I had a great time at the Wild Mushroom. Many places in the Niagara area are super pricey, especially for drinks and we were able to get 3 mixed drinks for under $12, unheard of anywhere else. It's dark, but definitely clean. I'd only go there... more
This place is dirty and scary. The staff are extremely rude and I know I was ripped off.
I gave the bartender a $20 for two drinks and he gave me change for a $10. I thought the guy was going to punch me when I questioned him about it. On top of that, my beer was flat and my...

BE AWARE...it is DANGEROUS!
I read another review regards getting assaulted by staff...Same happened to us...It must be the way they try to get free drinks out of the patrons....Never again!
Always stop in to say hi to the bar keeps cherie and jill. They will treat like locals. Prices are great for a tourist town. Beer prices are great compared to tourist locations. The pizza is very good as are the wings.
This the absolute worst place I have ever been. Some former bartender that sounds like a pirate and has a bandana demanded that he have his own bar stool which he had not been sitting in for sometime. Weattempted to be nice an bought him a few drinks. Later in the night as we were leaving he demanded that we... more
We've gone to this place forever and went on St.Patrick's Day and got ripped off by the waitress by a few bucks by getting charged for something we never ordered . We've always been pleasant and tipped by more than fifteen percent and then they ran a bit of a scam on us. won't go back. My wife payed it... more
At first this place seemed a little rough around the edges, but its rustic charm and atmosphere won us over. The open fireplace was very warm and inviting adding to the experiance. The staff was very friendly ensuring we were taken care of. They have 5 or 6 tv's tuned to sports so there isn't a bad seat in the... more
My wife and I were traveling with friends over the weekend and were looking for a "non-tourist" bar. We found the Wild Mushroom and had a blast. The bartenders were very friendly and the food was great!
I almost want to call it a "dive-bar" but feel that would be sending the wrong message. It's not pricey, not a chain,...

Cold food, Bad service and told to "deal with it" when we complained. Never going there again. Food was horrible too, probably because it was cold. Bad management.
If you're looking for a classic, friendly, cozy, well-located pub, look no farther. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is quite large and diverse for a pub. We had a burger and a club sub - both very good, plentiful, reasonably priced. There is a lovely wood-burning fireplace and lots of TVs for sports viewing, but it's not... more
We stopped in at this bar last evening and found it to be a "locals" bar....everyone seemed to know everyone!! At about 10:30 p.m. the place was packed with people eating and drinking...about 5 or 6 t.v.'s all on sports channels which was great...it was Sunday and football was on! Definately NOT a high class establishment....a little bit on the... more
We go to the Niagara Falls area at least once per year. We have been eating at this restaurant every time we go, for MANY years. They have great combo prices on beer/pizza,... more

Always a good place to relax whatever time of the day. The food is good, the atmosphere and service is great.
This is a very unique place to eat. It is a buffet style setting with you choosing the ingredients you want stir-fryed and your food is cooked in front of you on a huge circular grill. The service is friendly and overall a great place to eat.
GREAT spot for drinks with friends or a game of pool or darts! The food and service here are great aswell.

If your looking for a place to simply relax well during the week it is recomended but during the evening it become more of a pub.The music is not too loud where as you cannot carry on a conversation, also and ideal location to meet and greet others from around the world. The food is quite tastefull and is recomended for those on a more leaner budget. There you'll find your typical pub grub, which... more
