Very nice people, beautiful location

Owner was very nice and understanding, everything was clean and close to a lot of trails that they helped us locate with a map. It's a very nice hotel with a very nice gym and pool for guests! comfortable, safe and affordable. definitively coming back!

The owner runs the front desk. We have stayed there a few times and she is so friendly and helpful. She will tell you anything you need to know. The rooms are clean, and have everything you need. We will stay there again.

I was on a photo assignment for 4 days. I wanted a clean, quiet place where I could work. I wanted to get my own meals, but also be comfortable. The Western Motel met all these requirements.

The best place to stay in ucluelet

We booked a few nights and loved it so much we stayed longer! A great location... nice room and family run by an amazing staff. The gym and pool was an added bonus, but the helpful and fun staff really made it.

Quite acceptable motel

There was no clock in the room and we were given one with no fuss. The TV had had been programmed with subtitles and the owner couldn't fix it so got another, again no fuss. Friendly staff good location.

Only stayed for one night but very friendly and helpful owner. Gave great advice of where to eat and where we may see a bear catching salmon at low tide. We actually saw a cub trying to catch salmon and finally succeeding. Highlight of trip so far. Thanks!

The girl at the counter was just excellent at checkin. Disappointed

We chose this motel upon past reviews. We believe it is grossly overrated. The room had the typical smell of humidity and had not been aired at all. The decor looked shaby. The staff was very helpful, though, and the view over the harbour quite nice.

We had a room with a view of the small craft harbour. It was clean and very comfortable. There was a small kitchen so we could make our own breakfast. A very nice place in a small town that still is a fishing village. Uclulet is definitely worth the (rather long) detour, and this motel is a very good headquarters for many adventures.

A little noisy about 6 a.m. when the fishermen get ready to go out and again on Friday night when the guys walk home from the bar. But both are part of the local colour.

We chose to stay in Uclulet because it was less touristy than Toffino. Our grandchildren were with us, and we stayed 5 nights at the motel. Everything was lovely. We were made to feel quite at home. Hopefully we can get back next year.

The owner, Jeff was very helpful, giving personal attention to each guest. He was busy as his wife was away, but he coped with running the motel very well. The small rooms are really small. The barbecue in the garden was awesome.

A wonderful family run establishment that treats you as one of their own!! The pool is nice, but small. Rooms are comfy and they provide a gas grill (no cost) for cooking all of your local catch or a warm summer night! Rates are reasonable and there are plenty of great hiking trails and shops nearby.

This is a family-owned hotel in a really stunning town on Vancouver Island. They have an indoor pool, which was great since we visited in April and otherwise it would have been too cool to swim.

The rooms are large and comfortable and have kitchens and sofabeds, so they're good for families. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the rates are very reasonable.
