We went for the first time after Christmas. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. We will definitely return! The owner is so friendly and helpful. It would be even more awesome in the nice weather. Everyone I know who has been here loves it.
Nice restaurant with good service, good food and a nice view.
I've now been here 3 times with friends and enjoed each time.
Water's Edge is an exceptional Bobcaygeon restaurant. It offer sgreat food, good value and a fantastic setting. Best in the area for a nice lunch.
Went for dinner anticipated an awesome meal...we were there last year and couldn't have been more pleased..This time not so much. It was good but not great
Mike and his wonderful staff are there for your every need. Awesome food and great conversation with every visit
It was such a beautiful day we went to dinner a bit earlier than we usually do and got a table outside by the water. They have a good sized patio by the water and 2 good sized dining rooms inside. Also there is an area for boats to tie up and come eat there. I had an chicken, grilled... more
Our family recently spent our vacation in Fenelon Falls and took a trip to Bobcaygeon for some shopping. We were pleasantly surprised when we found Water's Edge. The owner greeted us and brought out some kids toys to keep them occupied. Our service was fantastic and the Club Sandwich was the best I've had. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is situated directly on the canal in Bobcaygeon and offers great views of the boat traffic coming and going. The main eating area is small and reminds me of an eating area in a turn of the century dining room. There is an outdoor patio for those warm summer nights. We usually visit the Water's Edge for our... more
The food here was excellent. From the mussels to raps to the soup of the day. We enjoyed it all. We will be back. A great place to bring guests!!
My last review was in 2013 when the new owners were in the start-up phase. In my opinion there was room for improvement, boy did they ever work to get it right. We ate at this restaurant frequently (lunch and dinner) in 2014 and I can only say good things about this establishment. As always the venue is the best... more
We found the place while on our boat and decided to dock and have lunch. Staff was very friendly, the terrasse is an very inviting beautiful spot right on the water. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. The quiche was like the small frozen ones you find at Metro, thick crust that overpowered the taste. Seems to be always... more
The owners were very accommodating setting us up with a last minute reservation on August 9th. Our waitress, Emily, was excellent. The luncheon menu had a great selection. We were all very satisfied with our food selection. There is an outstanding view of the Trent Canal from their patio. We have reserved lunch again for the Labour day weekend with... more
I've eaten here twice since the new owners took over. It's more expensive now and not as good. Service was excellent and the food was okay but a bit pricey.
I can see from the other reviews that the owner gets upset with any negative comments, well too bad as this site is for the good and bad.

This seemed like a dream, what a great setting, we stopped having had a great tour of the area , we sat next to the edge of the lake while small boats moored by the restaurant looking for refreshments, staff we're very friendly but we had to move because it was fully booked in 30 mins time. If you are looking for a casual spot to stop for lunch\dinner, this is the place. We usually stop by via boat and the staff will reserve you a docking space if you call ahead.
Menu is fantastic but usually have the beef sandwich or special depending on the day. Nice selection of house wines and bottle choices. I tend...

We returned to the Waters Edge restaurant after an absence of a few years as we had been told there was new owners. Overall our impression was positive and we enjoyed our evening.
First of all ...the location .. situated dockside in the beautiful village of Bobcaygeon. Nothing finer and more relaxing as having a couple of drinks and watching...

This is a great spot with and amazing view of the channel in Bobcaygeon.
Our server Holly was very good and informed us of the daily special and soup. I chose the daily special of lobster taquitos and my husband chose the shaved prime rib on a bun. As recommended by our server we both chose the fries - big...

Have you ever been to a place where the moment you walk in you feel like you are an intruder..
Nothing bugs me more than showing up at an eatery, without a 'reservation' and being told, yes they have space, but we have a large party coming in one and one-half hours....and I guess we can seat you...

The location cannot be beat. Add to the location, the food and Shauna and Mike and a great evening will be in front of you. The pasta was perfect, the crab cakes and scallops were as good as the Maryland shore and Shauna makes the evening perfect. Another great evening.
This was our first "date night" after having two kids. The service team was top notch and the view was perfect. We had an amazing evening and will return again soon! Thank you to the staff for making our evening special :)
We stopped for drinks and decided to stay for dinner. A very good decision !! We were seated at a lovely table on the patio. There was a nice view of the water and the background music was at a perfect level to allow for conversation. Service staff were pleasant and capable. Our meals...salmon and lamb shank....were better than anticipated....served... more
I made reservations to arrive by boat a month before dinner for our group of 8. The owners made a concerted effort to welcome us and were even understanding when we were late. They had picked an excellent table on the patio with a great view of the water. The food was good and the staff held their own in... more
Staff could not have been nicer and kinder. We had our pup with us and they let us tie her to fence right beside our table and even gave her choice of new toys and water of course. Food was impeccable, delicious and we will definitely be back again and have told our friends as well. I give it six... more
We had lunch on the patio. The restaurant was not too busy - we arrived early - so we got a table by the water. I think you usually have to reserve a table by the water. I had the veggie wrap and my husband had the hamburger. Both were very good. We decided to order dessert....creme caramel and rhubarb... more
Good location, we sat on the patio overlooking the water . It was one of the first hot weekends of the season and although the restaurant was busy, service was good. Unfortunately when we arrived, most items and specials were already sold out, even right down to the baked potatoes! We received complimentary deserts, (delicious!) for our troubles. Would go... more
This is an absolutely lovely spot to visit. We come here often and our favourite way is to boat in and dock there and eat on the patio. We had a great time when we came here as part of a large party, the food was great and the service was quick despite a busy dinner. We enjoyed ourselves even... more
Very attentive service, lovely view, good quality food with generous portions, The Water's Edge is a great spot and we have added it to our list of Must Do's! The wait staff are most accomodating, all our needs are addressed immediately. Do Not miss the special desserts!
Highly recommended, we enjoyed it. We will be Back!
Excellent food! Great location! Friendly, prompt service. My mother inlaw enjoyed salmon with a dill sauce, my husband pork medallions with a peppercorn sauce, myself French onions soup. Very very good. A lime cheesecake for desert mmmm.. We are looking forward to going again.
Great locale and attentive service. Food quality has gone majorly down hill. Far from what could be considered fine dining. Not good value for money. I truly hope the owners turn this situation around.
My wife and I visited the restaurant on a whim in late October during a night away without the kids. We had checked tripadvisor for names of restaurant in town and after driving around to see the sights and check out the town we decided to eat here. We were looking for something a bit up scale from our usually... more
After being told how incredible this restaurant is we were disappointed with the food. It was average at best. The saving grace of this restaurant is that the views are amazing.
The food was excellent and they had a choice of gluten free pasta and bread, which I was impressed with since the majority of restaurants haven't started offering this. The service was fast and pleasant. There were six at our table and everyone was very satisfied and we will be going back. The food is excellent and delightfully different.
This is our second time at this restaurant since the new owners have been there which is I think about seven months. The first time, we thought the menu was a bit limited and all the main dishes seemed to have cheese with them. It was not great and the garlic mash seemed to have no garlic and it was... more
We decided to have a quick get away in Bobcaygeon at a friend's cottage. Although we wanted to get away from it all we certainly didn't want to end up cooking and cleaning. The weather was rather cool but it was still very pleasant to sit on the deck overlooking the water and watch the boating world go by while we enjoyed our lunch. My husband and I ate here in June (I know, i'm sorry this is SO delayed). We had always wanted to try this restaurant. The new owners have transformed this place, now called The Edge, into a fun spot with great food. Fabulous deck on the water with delicious casual fine dining. We love the grilled chicken with Bartlett pear.
