It was absolutely horrible experience.
In 3 lines; Terrible foods,
Terrible service
so Just don't go.
My friends and I had a dinner there expecting having some good seafoods, since this place offers a lot of selection of seafood. And our high expectation fail down to the dissapointment.
As someone previously said, super super slow for Friday night. only 2 other tables beside us. We should've...

I was there with a friend on Friday, Oct 2, 2015 at approx 8 pm. It was very quiet for a Friday night and we soon figured out why. The service is terrible and impersonal bordering on some staff being rude/impatient even when there are so few diners! By the way, we has made a reservation but it really wasn't necessary.
My friend had been there before and remembered the fish being very good. The...

Nice restaurant with a touch of nautical themed elements. The ambience was very good. Excellent service. Came here for a party and the staff were great and very accommodating. Lots of selections on the menu. They made selecting a menu for a private function very flexible and had vegetarian options available as well. The steak was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised. Didn't try any of the... more
Ordered the seafood platter and was very disappointed. The Atlantic king crab was not fresh at all and lobster was overlooked (had to pay extra $22.95 for lobster. The shrimp was also overdone and rubbery.
The lobster bisque appetizers were more like a lobster broth and tasted almost like it was out of a can.
Bread was served cold with non-spreadable butter.
The 5 oysters were the only thing...

I went on November 7th with my fiance, this was the second time I had been there:
PROS
- Atmosphere was lovely, not busy, and decor is very cute and clean looking
- Food was tasty (oysters, calamari)
CONS
- Staff were running around trying to set up for dinner (we were there at 4:30)
- Staff never came up to us and ask how everything was, I waited to order a second drink throughout the entire...

I will admit that I was dragged by a friend to Walkers because I'm not really keen on seafood. It's not that I 'dislike' seafood, I just find that the food served in so-called "seafood" restaurants is just not fresh, or it's made from frozen or cooked poorly. Walkers was a pleasant surprise.
I want to begin first by saying...

We actually ate twice at this restaurant. I was unhappy both times, but after the second visit, I will never return.
The first time, I ordered fish and chips, which should be pretty straightforward for a seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, there was more breading than cod fish filet. The fish was paper thin and not cooked to my liking. I did...

My boyfriend and I tried the oysters (raspberry point) at Walkers and we enjoyed it very much. In addition, we also tried the shrimp and fish tacos and we thought it was pretty good - the tacos are pretty generous since they're loaded with lots of shrimps and fish. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves oysters or seafood in general! It's nicely decorated and service was great!
Wonderful place great interior design , fresh and tasty meal , very friendly and fast service , definitely will go back soon and recommend it
Love the pepper calamari. Any of their fish that I've tried is delicious, and cooked to perfection. Presentation is eye appealing and the service is attentive. We did visit on a week night though, so not sure how the service would be in busier times. One time I had their soup which wasn't hot temperature wise. When I mentioned it,... more
The restaurant is very deceiving from the outside. It is large on the inside with many tables and nautical decor. We arrived and were greeted in a less than timely manner; however, the waitress that sat us was quite pleasant. We opted for the fixed price menu which is offered on Wednesdays - three courses for $19.95. Our appetizer was... more
I've heard good things about this restaurant and now that I'm here I'm quite underwhelmed. For one there is no oysters. (It's an oyster bar) Two I'm being served by someone with a serious language barrier. And three I've had two courses now going into my third and the server has taken my fork off the dirty plates for me to continue using for the next courses. I will be asking for new silverware... more
The meal was very good. My spouse had the Jambalaya meal and I had the Trout dinner. It was not very busy in the restaurant and my service expectation was high and it delivered. Food came to our table fast and hot. We both decided on desserts and I had the Creme Brule with fruit and my spouse had an... more
We were greeted by friendly staff and immediately seated in a window booth. We ordered a half bottle of wine while we waited for our order of tilapia and brundini (it's a bass like fish with more texture than mushy sole). We always ask for no starch and more vegetables, and our waitress was friendly about accommodating our request. The... more
Beautiful restaurant, pleasant service, great menu selection. I had quite a great experience at Walkers, not the cheapest but definitely worth it to treat yourself once in a while. Their smoked salmon was on point!
Nothing to dislike here, food was excellent, atmosphere was very nice, and the staff very accommodating.
We were not too impressed when we were theteca few months back butvwanted to give the place snother chance. It's a reallnice room, airey and bright, on two levels. Oysters and mussels were great. Coconut shrimp and fish and chips way overcooked to a deep brown. Salad tires and wilted. Catfish again overcooked under some sort of goopey reddish sauce.... more
I went there with family and friends we had a fantastic time. I made reservations through open table and had seating in a booth! Which was fun. There was a chidldrens menu that entertained the kids by drawing. It felt like we were sitting at a family dinner table. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We ordered a variety... more
Had a meal at Walker's on Dundas for the first time this week past after driving b y it for years. The restaurant is very well appointed - nicer than I imagined - but not overpriced. We shared a seafood pizza (huge) to start and I had a piece of fish I had never heard of before, Cobbia, but I... more
This restaurant is absolutely delightful! The décor is stunning. Bright, clean lighting, white shutter windows, and over 100 wooden crafted replica sail boats all over the place. Very tasteful.
The food was very good too. Great selections of fresh catch, but the absolute stunner was the LOBSTER BISQUE. I was so disappointed to return a month later and find out...

On September 2 our family visited Walkers Fishmarket on 2575 Dundas Street in Mississauga. This has been the worst experience in years. We had to wait for our order for a very long time, the order was brought in such a way that one person would get everything all at once whereas everybody else (3 more people) did not get... more
after reading the reviews here, we drove 25k to eat here. I ordered the pasta special without the mussels 19$ and guest had battered cod 18$ . Cesar salad to share. Restaurant was not busy at 7pm on a Saturday night and that should have been my first clue. small family groups and a few couples.
Bread came warm, but...

My girlfriends and I love to go for lunch during the week. It is hard to find a restaurant where you can enjoy your food and then sit for awhile afterwards, without pressure to leave. AT WALKER'S you can! Slyvie is always there and one of the most pleasant servers around. We enjoy our time here immensely. I have s... more
We have visited the Burlington Ontario branch of this restaurant on several occasions and really enjoyed their lobster. Unfortunately it has recently closed, but when a special platter was advertised on the net: 8 oz fresh water perch, 8 oz pickerel (walleye), 10 shrimp, 8 oz clam strips, all for $44, we jumped at the opportunity to drive to a... more
I had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday night and the food was ok but the waitress was slow as molasses in January. There was really no reason for her to be so slow as the restaurant was almost empty. I would hate to see how slow she would be with a full restaurant. We were just passing through Mississauga... more
My family and I ate here after receiving gift certificates. The food was great. We requested bread, which came with delicious herb butter. The caesar salad was perfect, with just enough dressing. The main courses all came out hot and portions were big. I had the stuffed salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The other main courses included halibut and chips,... more
One of my best patio experiences recently is at Walker's Fish Market in Mississauga, where the blue couches are comfy and the food is amazing.
I enjoyed Shrimp Cocktail and fresh oysters, the oysters were so good in fact that we just kept on ordering. Perhaps it was also because the oyster went down very nicely with the yummy cocktails....

The staff was very attentive and the food was served hot and was very tasty. The décor was interesting with the washrooms being very upscale. The patio would have been good except it was a little too cold out at the time. The place was packed with folks enjoying themselves. A little pricier than some restaurants but the quality was... more
I wanted seafood and decided to go here with my family. The service was excellent (the restaurant was not crowded), the drinks and appetizers were good but when the entrees arrived we were appalled.
The quality and the taste of good food was definitely not there, Swiss Chalet has a better fish and chips. The fish was tasteless and was...

beautiful interior....good weeknight specials on apps! however, the hostess offered us the "happy hours" specials menu on a sunday night (9pm-close) since we arrived after 9pm...not applicable so that was a little misleading. ...in any case, we ordered some apps & oysters (we came for the oysters)

Took my girlfriend here the other day to try something new and we were surprized by what we found.
Servers came quickly as did the food; which was a great sign considering it was somewhat busy. Their patio was closed off for the season but looked like a dock overlooking Mississauga (nice touch).
We are definatly coming back soon and...

I dined here with colleagues because it was a short walk from the Delta Meadowvale Hotel. It was a Wednesday night, so not overly busy. The food was very good (I had Lake Erie pickerel), portion sizes were generous and the service was also very good. Its a nice alternative to the other restaurants in the immediate area. Will definitely... more
We couldn't have been happier! We had Atlantic Salmon and Ahi Tuna. Every bite was great and the service was fantastic. I will be back many times!
This is a great looking restaurant in a great location. Lots of buzz surrounding its opening, but when I finally decided to go there, I discovered average fare for above average prices.
There is nothing special about Walkers Fish market besides the decor. Portions are small and forgettable. There are no specials that entice you to try something new at...

I really wish I could write a positive review for this place. The food was excellent. But the service was just so bad I can't justify it. I do realize we visited on a slow night, right after a snowstorm, but there was no excuse for how long it took for us to get served, but also how long it... more
It was a quiet wednesday night, the server explained about the specials, was very good on the different fish types etc.... service was quick but it was quiet, good choice of beers etc.... overall a good resaurant that I would be happy to return to - Recommended :-)
This is a great place for fish and seafood. I especially like the stuffed salmon and fish & chips. The oysters are excellent, the clam chowder is fair, the salads are fresh and very good. I will return often.
We booked a table for 10 people, service was excellent, wine selection was good and excellent food.
Sadly our table was the only one that special night. Jeff, our server provided an excellent service and attention.
One of the worst experiences we've ever had at a restaurant when we visited for a lunch outing with a friend this Sunday, Dec 16,2012. We arrived to an empty restaurant with one one girl at the front that told us to pick any place to sit. The once pristine cream coloured upholstery were stained with dark splotches and that went for every piece of seating there. While dead insects lined the... more
On Saturday Evening, We found this Walkers restaurant look good from the outside of the building, we went inside and seated near the fireplace, which was quite nice and comfortable. Manager pleasantly greeted and seated us and that was the last we saw of him. To start we selected and enjoyed Walker's delicious Shrimp & Lobster Bisque from a wide variety of attractive appetizers. That item alone could frequently bring me back making me their customer for life.

Open for a year on the sight of the old MUDDY MOOSE, this is the third in the Walker chain.
A lovely interior and is cosmopolitan chic with a patio deck designed with the old WHALERS' WHARF thick rigging rope and pilings looking out over the traffic (as opposed to their Dundas Street location which puts it at sight level)....

First timer and really enjoyed everything about our experience. Sat on the patio (lovely tropical feeling atmosphere) and had half price appetizers (crab cakes and dynamite shrimp, both fabulous!) Our server Sylvie was friendly and noligable! Our main courses were hot and delicious. Really nothing to complain about here, plus 25% off wine on Wednesday's! Will definately be going back.
After I read the other reviews - I wondered if I had the right restaurant.
My husband & I went last nght around 7:30. It was empty. We sat at the

I brought my family to Walker's for my mom's birthday. Last night on a drive back from the Christie Antique Show we stopped in at Walkers Fish Market on Dundas Street West in Mississauga. All Seafood Markets considered, Walkers Fish Market does just fine the way they are.
All elements exist, ambiance, service, smooth SAILING aye aye Captain theme.

This location is relatively new, but they also have a place in Burlington which I've tried a few years back.
My biggest complaint is that there aren't many pasta options here. But they do have mussels, and good fish selection. I ordered fish and chips, and my gf got the jambalaya, both which were really good.
