A beautiful 1908 heritage home in Wakamow Valley Park in Moose Jaw, SK. Worth seeing
We spent 1 night at the Wakamow Heights Bed & Breakfast, it is a nice place to stay with really nice host! We will definitly go back if we are around Moose Jaw!
We stopped for only one night on our way west & wanted to stay at a B & B rather than a standard hotel. The location is lovely, beautiful view. We stayed in the Wedgewood room, apparently one of the two smallest but still plenty of room for the two of us. All the finishings were charming & the restorations well done. Breakfast was delicious and we were sorry to have to rush away. Definitely... more
The top foam on the mattress didn't fit the original mattress.....bed awful
The bed and breakfast is in a Victorian home that is in some need of maintenance. Ongoing projects in the home are somewhat unsightly. The hosts are wonderful and eager to please. Breakfast on the porch was delightful. The surrounding neighbourhood includes many lovely walking trails and city parks.
the service was good. We were disappointed in the condition of the room. Although the furniture in the room was meant to compliment a specific theme, it was uncomfortable. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. The shower area was incomplete and the craftsmanship (?) was really bad. A three year old could have caulked the shower better. I would not really rate this higher than a two. Although... more
Owners of B&B were away, Bev and Sylvia were great hosts. Breakfast was fantastic! Roads into the home were awful, as are a number of roads in Moose Jaw. City would do themselves a favour as far as tourism is concerned if they patched up the roads.
My husband and I stayed here one night for our 41st anniversary. We stayed in the executive suite which is absolutely lovely. The room are immaculate and beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed the jetted tub! Breakfast was an excellent omelette. The owners are very hospitable and attentive to any needs that you might have. The only reason I didn't rate it a perfect 5 was that... more
We were delighted with this grand old home turned into a B&B. Every corner held some fascinating piece of history. It was clean and comfortable and our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Our breakfasts were very yummy and plentiful. Only 7 minutes from downtown. Do visit this B&B if you're in the vicinity.
Although there are a couple of upgrades indoors that are not finished and the outdoor 2nd floor balcony floor needs work, the rooms are just great. They are roomy, clean, comfortable and very well appointed in early period furniture. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast was 5 star and John and Lois were so very friendly and attentive.
We stayed only one night (attending a concert in town), the B&B was close to places we wanted to visit, yet away from the busy streets, up on a hill overlooking the valley. Beautiful location, beautiful home. Breakfast was tasty! Loved the Jacuzzi tub, bed was comfy.
We enjoyed our first stay in a B&B. We had the Executive Suite with the siting room and the Jaccuzi tub. We made very good use of both. The breakfasts were very good, and the homemade cookies on the veranda were a nice treat. We recommend this B&B if you are looking for a welcoming and restful stay.
We enjoyed our stay and we look forward to returning this summer to take in more of what Moose Jaw has to offer.
Overnited here on our way to Winnipeg. Better than staying in any hotel. Owners were great. Breakfast was terrific. Rooms were neat and cozy. We would definitely come back for a stay in the summer when we could take advantage of the surrounding area for a relaxing walk or have a tea or meal on the porch.
Great experience and comfort. I would have appreciated to have more choice at breakfast. The omelet was great, but to have more food , they asked if i needed more instead of it being available right there and that made me uncomfortable the atmosphere is antique/ country and well done
Lovely B & B. Friendly service, comfortable room (although I would love to have had a lamp on both sides of the bed), good breakfast and good conversation. The owner's mother popped in to chat with guests on the morning of departure and she was thoroughly interesting and delightful. Enjoyed our visit with her very much. Another guest provided another route suggestion that shaved an hour off of... more
Beautiful old house in quiet neighbourhood. The homeowners are outstandingly friendly, the breakfast delightful and the decor interesting. We were refreshed by our night there.
It is a very old house, that has kept its old charm. It is still a work in progress but the rooms are comfortable and it is nice to see one of the grand old houses being updated while maintaining what made them great in their day. Lots of antiques that look natural in there setting.
We had a wonderful stay at Wakamow Heights. A grand 1906 home that has been upkept in a classic fashion. The couple running the place are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Enjoyed the character of the old building , the near by historic park and river walkway and most of all the great service and elegant , tasty breakfast served in lovely surroundings on the enclosed porch. Great place to stay. Some work required to finish some construction on stair well and sitting room plumbing.
There is a lot of potential at the Wakamow Heights B&B, but much work in renos to be done to make this a desirable stay. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.
Our room was very clean and fresh. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings charming. The owners of the B & B were away on vacation but the women who were taking care of the B & B and guests were well chosen. They warmly welcomed us and provided us with information on things to see and do in Moose Jaw. The food was very good, too. I would recommend this B & B to anyone visiting Moose Jaw,... more
Everything was FANTASTIC!! The breakfast was delicious! John and Lois were extremely friendly and helpful! They made sure that we had everything we needed and more!
Our B&B hosts have recreated the splendor of early Moosejaw. Perhaps just a bit more promotion of Moosejaw itself -- what to do in the winter and in the lovely park areas just below the B & B -- would add to the experience. We loved our stay and would definitely return.
This Was my first experience a staying at a B&B. I think the hosts where very gracious and accommodating the house still under renovations was quaint.
Lovely home. wonderful hosts. Comfortable bed. A great experience. We stayed here during out honeymoon and plan to visit again on our first anniversary.
Wonderful place. The most comfortable bed in our trans-Canada journey. Delightful hosts, good breakfast.
The entire B&B was very quaint and lovely. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the service was wonderful. We will definitely be back for a longer stay at some point in the future. Sadly for us it was just a quick over night stop this time. I look forward to the next time.
Very enjoyable, comfortable B & B. Friendly, and helpful owners, and I was upgraded to a suite when I arrived. Would stay again!
Very pleasant. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Room had character and was comfortable. Would recommend to friends and would stay again.
I only stayed here one night, and arrived late and left early before breakfast, so have only a fleeting impression of the place. The owner was friendly and helpful, and reduced my rate as I would not have time for breakfast which was good. My room was clean and comfortable enough. However, the main problem was there was no central heating in the room, and the only source of heat was a 1970's... more
In a historic home on a bluff overlooking the river, this B&B couldn't be more scenic. Room was very comfortable, internet worked good, breakfast was very good. Highly recommended
we will be staying here again. Very comfortable, very clean and the breakfasts are amazing! Such friendly, helpful people. Thank you Wakamow, we are looking forward to our next visit! J & J B
Owners were friendly and breakfast was good. The bathroom was very small.
Lovely old home near parkland. Comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Owners friendly and made guests feel very much at home. Would happily stay there again.
