I love Victoria

I’ve worked for Victoria for almost a year now and I’m so fed up and kind of disgusted with all the awful things people say about her especially you Kaitlyn since you’ve been doing it for years, on about 20 different sites. You really seem to contradict yourself with the things you say and try to make yourself look like the good guy when actually you yourself were FIRED for doing exactly what you’re accusing Victoria of. Let me tell you some truth about Victoria, she is an animal activist and has a humane society sticker on her license plate so she would never ever hurt an animal, she went through to be a vet but changed her mind when she realized she could never put an animal to sleep so she did the next best thing, grooming because she loves animals. Honestly, to hear you say she razor burned your dog appalls me because she has her blades sharpened every month which you Kaitlyn should know since you worked there for so long and if you knew what razor burn was you would know it’s caused by using a dull dirty blade (just as if you were using your own razor) practice what you preech. On another note Victoria is the only groomer in chatham who has a diploma, who gives free bandanas, free holistic dog treats, uses all natural shampoos&conditioners, shampoos AND conditions dogs, and uses a carbide tip dremel on there nails. All the other groomers here have a certificate which is an easy print off the internet with no hands on training at all, use cheap shampoo that makes your dog either super dry or super greasy, the majority of these places muzzle your dog the whole grooming cause they don’t want to get bit and they cage dry which if you google it is very dangerous and many dogs have died from it. There are only 3 groomers in Ontario that have a diploma and there are only 3 in Canada that have got high 90’s on their exams, Victoria being one of them and you could walk into her shop at anytime and see her diploma with her mark. I don’t know if anyone’s noticed but Victoria’s pet spa is the only place in chatham that has a business license and everyone else is doing it out of there house because they cannot get a business license because they aren’t qualified for one. Now that I’ve given some facts, I think what dog and cat owners should really do is actually go into these grooming places before they bring their dogs there and find out for themselves what the place is like, ask questions, no groomer should be hesitant to answer your questions and no groomer should keep there doors locked. If you can’t walk right into a grooming place when dogs are being worked on, there’s your first sign its not good. You get what you pay for and eventually people will come to realise that. I’m glad Victoria doesn’t take any of this s@!t people say about her to heart because the people that actually know her and have bringing their dogs there for 9 years now, know what a kind and caring person she is. She gets dogs in all the time that have had a bad experience at another grooming place and I’ve seen her bring tears to people eyes after them seeing how beautiful and happy their babies are after getting groomed at Victoria’s. So Kaitlyn, say whatever you want about her, criticize her on every website you can find, but you know how many people and animals love Victoria and in my opinion I’d say you’re just jealous.

Just in case my other review doesnt show up

I used to work for Victoria for about 2 years so we would always bring my dog to her to get groomed. She used to do such a good job but once I quit working there her total demeanor towards my dog has changed. Her cuts have gotten a lot sloppy. I have heard some nasty things about Victoria for awhile now on the internet and I always figured it wasn't true until now. The last time we brought our dog in, everything went the same. She did her cut then we went to pick her up. Victoria never said anything happened to my dog so we just took her home. Two days later when I was doing my usual check up on her I noticed she had huge razor burn and nicks from a razor on her neck. We were so mad, I can understand my dog can be crazy but for you to cut her then not tell us is ridiculous. So I sent her a text asking when would be a good time to call her, as I didn't want to interrupt anything she might be doing at home. While we were gone she left us a very rude message, on how we are always accusing her of doing stuff to our dog. (which in fact is not true, I may have asked a question about her leg before but that's nothing) and that she does not reply to texts now. So I called her, telling her we found razor burn and nicks on her neck. Victoria of course said it wasn't from her, that she would have noticed something like that. Victoria is the only one that grooms her. I've seem razor burn and nicks that she has given to other dogs while I worked for her. So I know what they look like and what they are from. I can't believe she didn't even have the nerve to admit to this. We obviously DO NOT recommend her to anyone. There are plenty of other groomers to go to. I hate that this has happened to my dog, and that Victoria would leave such a nasty message on our phone and lie about what happened. There is no reason to treat clients like that. It makes me wonder what else she is doing to other dogs. I can honestly say we are no longer bringing our dog to her.

Happy Customer

I brought my cat to Victoria's on a recommendation from a friend. I have a long haired cat and just needed to get him a trim. Normally I would do it my self but my cat is a handful and makes it difficult, so it is a two person job. Victoria did a great job. I have read the comments on this board and am shocked to read some of these. If you have an issue or are afraid then stay with your pet and you will see that she is very kind and ensures that the safety and comfort of the animal is applied when she works.

Do not take your dog here!

My dog is now partially paralyzed since taking her there to be groomed almost 3 weeks ago. She is a tiny little thing and wouldn't hurt a fly. The groomer offered no explanation and now my puppy has gone from a happy free spirit to a caged invalid. I'm beside myself and cannot understand how this could have happened!

Victoria is Awesome with Frankie, he loves coming in to see her. She is definitely an animal person, she knows and loves every little client she has, even if they sometimes nip at her :-) I would recommend anyone with a pet to visit her. Her shop is meticulous, easy to find and fun to visit.
