With our harbourfront location and breathtaking views, the Vancouver Convention Centre offers one of the most beautiful settings in the world
Located on the downtown waterfront with a dramatic mountain backdrop, the Vancouver Convention Centre’s two connected buildings feature 466,500 ft2 (43,340 m2) of flexible meeting, exhibition, ballroom and plenary space. As the world’s only LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certified convention centre, the facility is committed to environmental sustainability as well... more
I came here with my boyfriend to attend his friend's wedding. The venue here is beautiful and has a beautiful view of the waterfront. The servers during the reception was awesome and the food was delicious!!! The presentation of the hall was beautiful, even the food presentation was beautiful.
I'm stunned this is getting 4 stars from folks. This is hands down the nicest convention center I've been to in North America. The highlight of the Center is the beautiful wood work that is on the west side. Three giant wood sculptures hang over a 60+ foot atrium. The view of the city and harbor is spectacular, they are close to a not-awful food court and most conventions end up handing out $30... more
This is for the outside space that surrounds the Convention Centre. It is amazing, beautiful, and cool. The space is huge, not crowed at all. Lots of underground parking. The view of the bay and north Vancouver is gorgeous!
And with many restaurants and bars nearby, this is a great place for dinner, and watch the sun set. The Olympic flame stature was on when we were there, which is a giant...

The most beautifully located convention center I have ever been to. You get a great view of the bay. It is a very well positioned area with great hotels and restaurants around. I love this city anyways.
The Vancouver convention center is one of the largest structures in Vancouver. I've never seen anything so grand in my life.
The grandeur of the Vancouver convention center was quite magnificent and elegant. Like most convention centers, it was confusing to get around and a challenge to get around. I didn't know that the convention center was split into two buildings. I had to walk from the...

Why did Vancouver Marathon Society choose Vancouver Convention Centre as a venue for their Sports & Lifestyle Expo which included the BMO Vancouver Marathon bib/package pickup for all the runners? I look forward to events here its such a beautiful building. One of my favourite is Shaw's Christmas party with over 3000 guest its a perfect place to have it.
Located in Vancouver's waterfront, it is also a energy efficient building, the entrance has a enormous globe its absolutely amazing.
Beautiful view of the harbor. The rooms are nice and large. Plentiful restrooms and the display space is enormous!
When my husband and I arrived at the cruise terminal, we had to walk through the Vancouver convention center & out into the streets. While walking through, we happened to see the Anime Revolution Convention!
The interior of the convention center was very modern, clean and nice. The outside of the convention center provided nice walkways to view the surrounding bay.

This is a really nice Convention Center. Beatiful layout with exceptional interior warm decorations. We're talking wood accents everywhere and warm tones to keep it calm and sophisticated. I went to a three-day conference here in June 2014 and I was really impressed by the venue. The view of the water from the floor to ceiling windows is just incredible. Good and nice place to get an idea about the coming and leaving from cruiseships
You can come quite close to get an idea how big they are
You can have a nice view and calm place, you can also see the sculpture of 3D Orca in addition to the olympic flame! But if have no time you can skip it!
The building itself is airy and impressive but even if you are not attending a conference it is nice just to stroll outside then maybe head to a nearby restaurant such as the Cactus Club.
This is a great place to see the cruise ships when they are in. You can walk on the deck above the ships and get a great close view of the cruise ships with all the people on the decks.
If you have 10000 friends or want have a flag football tourney this is a perfect place for a party.
Absolutely stunning convention centre in the heart of Vancouver, BC! Have been for several conferences, in a variety of rooms and function types. All were absolutely fantastic.
I was there for a convention and found it nice and easy to get around. Beautiful view of the water and easy location to walk to from many hotels. Nice experience.
I'm writing this as a vendor who had a booth at an event here.
I generally like this venue. It's spacious, scenic (if you're not in the lower level) and generally well-designed.

What annoys me is their desire to absolutely stick it to you with...

I have been to many convention centers, and I must say the one drawback to this stunning place is the fact that it is rather difficult to focus on the meeting when the surroundings are so beautiful. Kudos to the architects and artists who created this place. Worth a walk through even if you don't have a conference!
Located in an incredible spot, at the Pacific waterfront, Vancouver Convention Centre offers to its guests the opportunity of putting together professional skills and nature watching. I 've attended to many conventions in US and Canada and I can say withou a doubt that this convention center has one of the most pleasant views of all of them.
Not to mention that it's very well located and the rooms are big and have great accoustics.
Took away 1 star for lack of wi-fi.
The convention center is beautiful... and conveniently located. Instead of reviewing the architecture / location, I will list a few things that might be useful.

Great location, amazing views, spacious and clean, user-friendly presentation system with good vision and sound quality. Comfortable places for sitting outside the lecture rooms, many bathrooms conveniently dispersed along the center.
I've been to a lot of convention centres for work and this one is definitely in my top 3 list! Only downside is there is only one small coffee shop on-site and it gets really busy! The views and the decor inside are just amazing!
The convention center was built for the 2010 Olympics. Vancouver did a great job incorporating art, history and beautiful sights into the Coal Harbour Seawalk around/behind the convention center. Follow this walkway/bike path from the convention center all along the Harbour and into Stanley Park -- great little parks along the way, restaurants and fun people-watching.
I would have given the centre an excellent rating if the facility had been a few degrees warmer! The AC made it very uncomfortable to sit in one place for very long. I love this building and prefer this over the other for conventions and other trade shows. Very clean, spacious and classy looking with a lot more room for larger events than the other one. This is more a review of the venue as a host for the Auto show... Have you been to a more scenic, cool convention center than our new one built for the Olympics? Great atmosphere and views, worth a visit.
I was there for the annual Salvation army breakfast event in Dec. 2012. I agree with a previous post that it is a large facility but very well maintained. the north shore mountain view from within the conference hall was absolutely gorgeous.
Over all i had a great time at the convention centre.
Take the time to find out what you are looking at inside the convention centre. Like the roak wall ... what the story there? How about the roof? This is a very interesting and amazing building. Around the outside there are also lots of great eateries, like Mahoney & Sons or Leonida's chocolate & coffee bar.
We had our 2012 Vancouver Tourism Awards breakfast at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. The food provided was absolutely appalling. It was not edible. Not really much here for a tourist to the city. Nothing much else I can say about it. Its in a good location in the city though, so if you are going to a convention here, give you a good base to see the Gastown area of Vancouver

The convention center is amazingly beautiful with spectacular views. During my visit this past week we were treated to cocktail hours and dinners at the convention center. Seeing all the provinces interspersed along the walkway was very interesting. We realized that we have covered a lot of Canada! The convention center itself seemed to be very active and able to accommodate a lot of groups at once. There was even a wedding going on.
The convention centre is nice - but really nothing special, especially given the amount of money spent on it. A nice visit - but really not a destination that you would miss out on.
Was an awesome venue for a meeting place w/ a large number of people. We were there for meetings during the day plus dinner on two times. I think the folks in Vancouver take design fairly seriously. It was pretty evident as soon as I arrived at the airport, and I found myself walking along waterfalls, a river, and even totem poles.
