A very comfy, warm and friendly stay. Staff were extremely accommodating. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. Very close to the center of town with everything in walking distance.
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience! Located right in the heart of Downtown Montreal! Very friendly staff and excellent service!
Rien à dire sur l'emplacement et sur la chambre. Par contre, le service était minimal. Quasi aucun contact même au petit-déjeuner. Dommage.
As it is always said, first impression lasts. My very first contact with the hotel personnel left an indelible mark, excellent & pleasant service, friendly & helpful. The place is cosy, one feels at home, with reasonable price. I highly recommend others.
I chose this place because of the convenient location and great price. Stayed for 3 days/2 nights and walked everywhere while I was there!
This cool B&B offering colourful apartment suites is well-located in the McGill Ghetto.
Prices starting from $89 Canadian Dollars including taxes. Thats a great deal!

Wonderful time in a funky little suite that was very reasonable. Great place to stay for a short or long term visit as there are full kitchens and living rooms.
Basic, clean and in the McGill University district. An old house that has been done up. Inconsiderate guests coming in late can be a nuisance on the wooden echoing stairs. Friendly communal breakfast.
We enjoyed the clean, well-appointed if small room. Breakfast is wonderful, as are the lovely young women hosts. The location is great, convenient to shopping/dining and a comfortable walk to Old City. One caution: Beware of sharing bathroom if you can afford private bath: long waits always a possibility. All in all, a wonderful find,
I stayed (solo) on a Saturday night in the Scholar's Room in mid January; was in town to see the Leafs play the Habs. It was the cheapest accommodation on Expedia, and it was very good value.
Location is nice (great if you need to be near McGill), about a 15 to 20 min walk from the Bell Centre. About...

I stayed at the University Bed + Breakfast for a few nights at the end of September, 2012, while I was visiting my daughter who is attending McGill University. As she is living in residence, this B + B was a perfect location to make it easy to visit with her. This B + B is located right in the... plus
First B&B we had stayed in outside of the UK so we didn`t know quite what to expect.
We stayed for a few nights in the yellow suite which is located on the ground floor with a separate entrance. The location is very close to the university in a mainly student accommodation area, around a ten minute walk to the...

I will go back here ! Everything is made for your comfort and enjoyable stay. I was visiting my daughter, student at the university next door with my 9 yrs old son. This was our first trip to Montreal. We absolutely loved the B&B. The rooms are lovely, we had a great window seat overlooking the street view. Our furnishings looked so warm, homey and appropriate for this beautiful old building. Bed was very comfortable. A great breakfast was very nicely served in the kitchen/breakfast room. Fabulous coffee, our first experience with... plus
This b and b is in a great location, in a beautiful historic home, and has delicious breakfasts that include organic cereals, fruit, montreal-style bagels, croissants, yogourts etc... I will most definitely be coming back here again.
I have only positive things to say about this place. The rooms were adorable, convenient and had everything I needed like a small kitchen, wifi and a hair dryer. Right when I booked the hotel they called me to inform that they didn't have one room for me and I would have to change rooms in the middle of my... plus
We found this to be a charming B&B, with interesting architectural features, and pleasant decor. We had a room in the Castle with shared bath. Everything was clean and neat. The office/breakfast room was relaxed, homey, and the staff played great music. Nice breakfast, with good variety and great coffee! The staff was friendly and helpful, and very gracious with... plus
Excellent location for walking in Montreal. Friendly, helpful, and competent staff. On street parking is really difficult, but $10 extra per night you get secure locked garage parking...well worth it. You won't beat this one for the breakfast and what a B&B should be. Not fancy...just very nice.
We had four rooms in the castle for a couple of nights in June. Overall, it was an average stay for me.
Pros:
Staff were friendly and polite (though insistent you pay on arrival and not happy for us to leave bags)
Parking in private garage - but had to pay for space and only got it if you arrived...

PROS:
- Spot on recommendations on where to eat from the staff (yummy food and affordable)
- And help getting everywhere
- Breakfasts where you get to meet other travelers
- Breakfasts that include famous Fairmount bagels, croissants, fruits, yogurt, granola, hard-boiled eggs, milk and cereal, juice, tea, coffee
- Accomodated 3 of us to a room by providing an...

This was our first stay at University B&B, and we couldn't have been happier. I cannot express how much I LOVE the location. It is a quiet street, but is within easy walking distance of the Plateau and Quartier Latin (we love both of these areas), as well as downtown and Chinatown/Old Montréal. We were travelling with a friend, and... plus
I waited a couple weeks before writing this review to see whether I felt the same way I did when I left the u b&b. Well two weeks later and I feel the same way this was a completely underwhelming experience.

Recently I came to Montreal and stayed at University Bed & Breakfast. Not only was it my first stay with them but my first experience with B&B. As a retired professor, my wife and I feel right at home staying close to a university wherever we travel, and the University B&B is no exception. I was traveling to McGill for research and the University Bed & Breakfast was perfect in every way - my room (the scholar) was small but very cozy and great for one person, the breakfasts were tasty, and the bathroom (shared by four rooms) was nearly always open when I wanted to shower, etc. However, the location and price are... plus
My daughter and I arrived from NY on a gorgeous March afternoon for a three day visit to look at McGill. We first stayed in the Queen room, which was beautiful with a great view. We spent a week at the University Bed and Breakfast. The staff were cheerful, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our apartment was clean, bright and uncluttered. The area map with restaurants recommendations that we were given when we checked in was helpful in orienting us.We will return to University Bed and Breakfast. We had a very enjoyable stay.
We stayed here in early December and absolutely loved being able to walk to everything. The price was reasonable, the staff very friendly and the breakfast and internet were both included. Room was very comfortable but don't come with lots of luggage as we needed to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs, which was not a problem for... plus
I would definitely go back and stay at the U B&B on my next visit to montreal. It was in close walking distance of the downtown shopping area and Latin quarter. I've stayed at the U B&B several times and have been really happy with the experience. I travelled from the West Coast to visit my daughter going to school at McGill. This is the second Bed and Breakfast I've tried in the city of Montréal and this time I'll say it's a dream come true. My husband and I stayed on the main floor suite #1 for 3 nights.....however the B&B decided to place a very young family of 4 in the suite right above us (not that there is anything wrong with that as we have young children ourselves).......the problem was every morning at 5am the kids would wake up and play on the... plus
Amazing little place with an amazing location. Stayed for 7 days in the Queens room, which was snug but nicely appointed. A/C in the rooms was a welcome respite from the summer heat.
I even forgot my phone charger in the room and they offered to ship it to my house!
Would recommend and will definitely stay again!
This is a place that has everything perfect. The staff is NOT lazy at all (shame to the reviewer who dare wrote that). Everyone was unbelievably friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I got lucky to get into a suite that had its own bathroom and kitchenette, which was perfect for an 8 night stay.

We usually stay in B and B's whenever we go away. We like the personal touch, and the different types of accommodations from typical hotels. That being said, we did not like the University B and B and left after one night.

I stayed here for five nights during a recent business trip to Montreal. Stayed here for 3 nights in the Yellow apartment which consisted of a bed sitter with small kitchen. The room was on the ground floor but very secure and quiet. The furniture was good and the bedding comfortable although not queen size.

The good: rooms were clean and fairly quiet.
The bad: We arrived at 10:30am after a red-eye flight from San Francisco. When we arrived the girl at the computer just says hello and gets to the business of the credit card transaction. No one asked, "How are you?","How was your trip?" or "Where are you from?" - nothing. (And yes,...

We knew from the beginning it was going to be a great stay because of the warm welcome we received from the staff. While our room was rather small (ok for us) it was impeccably clean! Fun, university location walking distance to all the trendy streets. Parking is a 10 minute search each time you arrive. Breakfast is nice. Kitchen was left with food drippings in micro and spilled milk... plus
Stayed here 4 nights with my friend. Room was large overlooking the old street. Breakfast was delicious. Host was very helpful and have put a lot of effort into making an old building into a charming place. Convenient location to University and shops with lots of places to eat close by.
Our trip to Montreal was a very last minute with less than a day's notice and we picked this place simply based on location and TripAdvisor reviews. The B&B is situated in the middle of English speaking McGill University campus, and was easy to find because of the directions they provided. I was desperate to find a place to stay during the F1 race. EVERYTHING was either booked solid or EXTREMELY overpriced. I was lucky to snag the last available room at the B&B.
