Room smelled, stained bed spread

I would never stay there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it, except to someone I didn't like. It appears noy to have been updated since it was built, likely in the 70's

Room was rather dated, but comfortable enough. Clean except I had to ask for the carpet to be vaccumed. Pretty good restauruant. Very nice staff.

Central, close to arena

Hotel was ok but our room door and window were under/near a set of stairs. Providing no natural light and lots of foot traffic noise. Little much for two nights. 3 nights in Duncan

On the outside the place did not look great but inside the room it was clean and quiet and comfortable. the carpet and furnishing seemed to be new. it was easy to find and close to downtown - a nice walk.

Not as advertised

First of all it's not a hotel it's a motel. Found it very stinky, beds were ok, house keeping was bad!! Found a dirty dried up face cloth with a hairs stuck to it gross, front desk didn't seem to care , bathroom sink was clogged, I asked for it to be fixed and no one did. Overall stay 0.. Would not recommend this place to anyone

The front desk lady was very nice and so was our room. However looking out from the balcony there was a burnt out apartment building. It made me feel like I was stayng in a bad area. Don't know how long it has been like that.

Good Basic Accomodation

We were just crashing for the night after a wedding. The room was clean, quiet and handy. We did not use the restaurant or other amenities so can't comment on those but I would stay there again. Good value.

everyone we dealt with was very friendly. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. We found it very quite and the bed was comfortable. A little update of some things is needed but in no way interfered with our stay. The onsite restaurant has good food and service. We would not hesitate to stay there again

We came to Duncan for a wedding and chose the Travelodge as a place to stay close to the wedding. The building was OK and the rooms were updated and clean.
The steps up to the second floor had not been swept and were quite dirty.

We tried this hotel when visiting for a family reunion, we chose it for the price but it was so disappointing it didn't even have basic value. The reception area was basic but unwelcoming, I will say the staff member tried to be helpful and made a point of trying to get us to try their restaurant.

overnight stay

Room was a bit cramped but was comfortable enough for one night. For a longer stay it would have been a little hard with 3 people in the room. The staff were friendly and it was a nice quite location. Did not try the restaurant so do not have any comment on it. Otherwise a decent place to spend the night.

Very happy with the hotel

The front desk staff was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint was the girls volleyball team staying near our room, and they were not being very considerate of the other guests. I would stay there again if I needed to overnight in Duncan.

Clean, but aside from that pretty terrible

If the only thing you care about is having a clean room, then I guess this place is fine for you, but if you care about anything else then look elsewhere. The beds were very uncomfortable. So many people had barking dogs that it made sleep difficult and hoteol staff did nothing to get people to be quiet. Wifi only works in the courtyard, it doesn't reach inside your room. The list goes on.

We were on a bike trip and it worked very well for storing our bicycles. It was close to amenities and our bicycle route.

Hotel is undergoing renovations. Room was clean, and despite being close to the highway it faced a courtyard that cut traffic sound considerably. You can be toasty warm with the room heater.

When we booked I would have liked to know that our room was near the pub with the band playing since we had a 4month old and it was extremely loud. Rooms were small and cramped for more than 2 people. Not much space to put luggage etc. Bathtub was not clean.

First time in 2006 stay there, very nice, great service and restaurant in the Travelodge. Returned in Aug. 2012, terrible, rundown, restaurant not the same. The room musty, dated, not well maintained. The price was listed at $99 a night, paid $75 for our stay through bookings.com. WILL NOT RETURN.

Travelodge Duncan always a comfortable stay

We having been staying at the Travelodge Duncan for a couple years and the service, staffing and amenities never disappoint! Amazing people work here! They bend over backwards to accomodate your needs. This is a fantastic family facility. The meals are tasty, reasonably priced and close to the many local wineries.

Not A Good Sleep

The smoke detector was located directly above the head of the bed. When the lights were out, the green light from the smoke detector shone right into our faces. It was so bright we could see shadows. Consequently it was very difficult to sleep. We could not have spent a second night in the room.

First I would note the friendly staff. Seem to go out of their way to extend themselves.

it was quiet, room needed repairs, and curtains and bedding needed cleaning. Stayed in Victoria (on the harbour) and Tofino ( on Mackenzie beach ) and the rooms were cheaper and much nicer for less money .

Went to hotel expecting a decent clean room to stay in. While the room was clean, the restaurant food was horrible, the attitude of the front desk was not welcoming, and I did not expect to see a parking lot for grocery store buggies, and bicycles that belong to the folks that live at the establishment. I didn't expect to see people living there either, to be honest.
