Its reasonably priced, well-maintained rooms make the Silver Bridge a good choice. One-bedroom suites have full kitchens; the honeymoon suite boasts a gas fireplace and double Jacuzzi. Located next to the Cowichan River, the motel is within walking distance of the Quw'utsun' Cultural Centre. The pub, with an attractive shaded deck, is in a converted century-old house.
A bit outdated but if you just need a clean place to sleep it's fine
I would never stay there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it, except to someone I didn't like. It appears noy to have been updated since it was built, likely in the 70's
Hotel was ok but our room door and window were under/near a set of stairs. Providing no natural light and lots of foot traffic noise. Little much for two nights. Sheets In room were very thin and worn with small holes in them. No plug for tub. Top bed covers white but dirty looking. We booked with Expedia same day as friends (2other rooms) booked theirs and they got top floor/ bright rooms.... more
The rate we paid was decent, the location was great, the man who helped us at the front desk was awesome. The rooms and especially the bathrooms need to be redone.
Not impressed with condition of building and room.
Very easy place to stay for a night. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. Good service as well. It is tired and dated but great for what it is!
On the outside the place did not look great but inside the room it was clean and quiet and comfortable. the carpet and furnishing seemed to be new. it was easy to find and close to downtown - a nice walk.
First of all it's not a hotel it's a motel. Found it very stinky, beds were ok, house keeping was bad!! Found a dirty dried up face cloth with a hairs stuck to it gross, front desk didn't seem to care , bathroom sink was clogged, I asked for it to be fixed and no one did. Overall stay 0.. Would not recommend this place to anyone
The front desk lady was very nice and so was our room. However looking out from the balcony there was a burnt out apartment building. It made me feel like I was stayng in a bad area. Don't know how long it has been like that.
Clean, comfortable....but needs some work. The Old Fork is a great restaurant in the hotel :-)
Simple, clean, plain, reasonably priced hotel. Value priced!
We were just crashing for the night after a wedding. The room was clean, quiet and handy. We did not use the restaurant or other amenities so can't comment on those but I would stay there again. Good value.
We had a wonderful stay! And it is right by the mall.
everyone we dealt with was very friendly. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. We found it very quite and the bed was comfortable. A little update of some things is needed but in no way interfered with our stay. The onsite restaurant has good food and service. We would not hesitate to stay there again
We came to Duncan for a wedding and chose the Travelodge as a place to stay close to the wedding. The building was OK and the rooms were updated and clean.
The steps up to the second floor had not been swept and were quite dirty.
The music from the bar was fairly loud. Overall this place is fine for...

Stayed in Travelodge for two nights while visiting the area. Basically just used it for sleeping. Hotel staff were excellent. Room was clean and well-equipped. Slept well. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel. All good and good value.
Poor quality and need mould in bathroom attended to. Holes in the drapes. I would not use this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.
Right on main highway. Main part of building comprises conference rooms, bar, restaurant, sort of average. The Motel bit is round the back and is a dump. First impression was a fog of stale air as you opened the door ... same as you get in a ThriftStore second-hand clothing barn Holes in the curtains, mould round the bathtub. Overnight... more
We tried this hotel when visiting for a family reunion, we chose it for the price but it was so disappointing it didn't even have basic value. The reception area was basic but unwelcoming, I will say the staff member tried to be helpful and made a point of trying to get us to try their restaurant.
The outside stairs...

Didn't realize there was a bar attached. But not too loud.
Thought I paid for a king bed with soaker tub.Showed up at hotel no soaker tub, front desk said you booked online not our problem! Will not stay there again!
Room was a bit cramped but was comfortable enough for one night. For a longer stay it would have been a little hard with 3 people in the room. The staff were friendly and it was a nice quite location. Did not try the restaurant so do not have any comment on it. Otherwise a decent place to spend the night.
Staff was friendly, front entrance was great looking but rooms were dated shower heads low but generally good stay. Sound insulation between rooms not great and some noise as people leave bar
Older hotel for sure, but nice enough for an over night stay,
I stayed for 4 days for a conference at the hotel. The staff were first rate and the room was clean and quiet. The biggest surprise was how good the food was - not only the food supplied for our breakfast and lunch as part of the conference but also dinner in the pub. The conference rooms worked well and... more
The front desk staff was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint was the girls volleyball team staying near our room, and they were not being very considerate of the other guests. I would stay there again if I needed to overnight in Duncan.
This place is a little of what you expect, but has a few hidden surprises that made my stay excellent. I had the chance over my 4 day staff to talk with some of the staff - who were all very friendly and accommodating to learn that the property is in the middle of its transformation.
The rooms are clean,...

We have stayed at this spot before but was few years ago. At that time it need some TLC - don't think anything has been done to it since then. Rooms appeared to be clean but very tired looking. Our rooms were small but adequate and clean. Disappointed that there was no coffee makers in the rooms which meant having to walk to the lobby area in the pouring rain.
Your rooms are old,no coffee maker,breakfast included-not,fan is noisy yay,stairs need repair,paint,etc.
We stayed in Duncan for one night, and got a good price on the Silver Bridge Travelodge. It had a king size bed, a small fridge and microwave, one robe and a big tub and a very nice shower. For the price it was a good room. We had breakfast at the Big Fork Restaurant in the morning - very... more

Service provided by all staff - housekeeping, front desk, restaurant & bar - all were. so friendly and accommodating. They could/should give clinics on customer service to others. Well done, all!
If the only thing you care about is having a clean room, then I guess this place is fine for you, but if you care about anything else then look elsewhere. The beds were very uncomfortable. So many people had barking dogs that it made sleep difficult and hoteol staff did nothing to get people to be quiet. Wifi only works in the courtyard, it doesn't reach inside your room. The list goes on.
We were on a bike trip and it worked very well for storing our bicycles. It was close to amenities and our bicycle route.
Very conveniently located. Rooms are very clean but bathrooms could use an update. Air conditioner noisy
We checked in to a beautiful lobby and Restaurant building. I kind of chuckled when I noticed it was covering up a standard "old school" 2 level Motel building. On a good note the rooms were clean and very adequate for our Sports teams needs. There was a outdoor seating area between the buildings where you could relax with beverage... more
We did stay in a pet friendly room so we really where not expecting much. Our room could have been a lot cleaner
We were only there for one night as part of a competitive sport team. The check in desk was not helpful or friendly, the room was clean and adequate, but we were disappointed to find coffee pot but no tea or coffee.

A for effort with a fresh coat of paint and new furnishings, but it's still a roadside motel. While new lobby and restaurant are nice enough, that's not where you sleep. Not good value compared to other accommodations in the area.
A nice enough place with a nice staff. The problem we had we hat there was a hot tub that we paid extra for in our room, that didn't work. No jets. Also, it was dirty. The lady out front was very nice and warned us as we checked in, that I was to be considered as a soaker tub.... more

When we booked I would have liked to know that our room was near the pub with the band playing since we had a 4month old and it was extremely loud. Rooms were small and cramped for more than 2 people. Not much space to put luggage etc. Bathtub was not clean.
First time in 2006 stay there, very nice, great service and restaurant in the Travelodge. Returned in Aug. 2012, terrible, rundown, restaurant not the same. The room musty, dated, not well maintained. The price was listed at $99 a night, paid $75 for our stay through bookings.com. WILL NOT RETURN.
We having been staying at the Travelodge Duncan for a couple years and the service, staffing and amenities never disappoint! Amazing people work here! They bend over backwards to accomodate your needs. This is a fantastic family facility. The meals are tasty, reasonably priced and close to the many local wineries.
After a full day of sight seeing, we found the Travelodge and asked for a nonsmoking room on the second floor. Quiet, clean hotel room. Very good price compared to other local hotels. Recommended.
The smoke detector was located directly above the head of the bed. When the lights were out, the green light from the smoke detector shone right into our faces. It was so bright we could see shadows. Consequently it was very difficult to sleep. We could not have spent a second night in the room.
Stayed in this hotel this past weekend.....very disappointed in this hotel.

Went to hotel expecting a decent clean room to stay in. While the room was clean, the restaurant food was horrible, the attitude of the front desk was not welcoming, and I did not expect to see a parking lot for grocery store buggies, and bicycles that belong to the folks that live at the establishment. I didn't expect to see people living there either, to be honest.
