We always stay here when we visit Kingston. It is comfortable and pleasant. The food at the restaurant is very good, although a bit pricey. We will continue to stay here because it's in a good location and a very good deal for the price.
Good stay. Courteous staff. Great restaurant. Will recommend hotel. Close to 401 and food choices!
My only complaint with where we stayed was no microwave was available. When I booked it I assumed that even though it was not in the amenities list, one could be provided. I have Celiac having GF food is a must. My advice is look around for a hotel that can provide what you exactly need.
Ice dispenser woke us up several times during the night, as did children running in the hall.
We wanted a weekend away and booked a room at the Travelodge Kingston for three nights. Check in was quick and efficient and we were pleased with our room. The beds were very comfortable, and while we did hear a little hallway noise, we heard absolutely no street noise. Our room was always tidied and cleaned when we returned from our day of sightseeing. The restaurant downstairs offers a... more
The room and bathroom were clean. I could not figure out how to use the TV remote, couldn't find instructions, either. There was someone else's scrunchy on the floor of the room. In a corner, so I guess maybe difficult to find. I travelled through the U. S. this summer, staying in various hotels, some fancier than this, some not. Every hotel I stayed at this summer offered a free buffet... more
Liked that the location was close to every place we needed to go. Hotel staff and other guest we great
Good, Especially they allowed us to enter the room 11:30am instead od 3:00pm. However, During stay, when we passed the front desk, the front man did not say hi.
My stay was short, but pleasant. The staff were helpful in directing me to my destination. I would stay there again!
We had a super stay here. The pool and hot tub were super clean, the restaurant had great specials each night, the beds were super comfortable and the pillows amazing. The hotel staff was helpful as well as the wait staff in the dining room. Thanks Rene for serving us, you were so helpful. All in all a wonderful stay.
I thought I would give this hotel a second chance but still was disappointed. The room, particularly the bathroom was not very clean. The air conditioner was so noisy and kept waking me up throughout the night. At first I thought that it was a truck in the parking lot! The location of this hotel is great but I will try a different one on my next trip to Kingston.
We had a nice experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and neat. It was within a short walk to several amenities, yet quiet.
All of the hotel stuff was nice Hotel nice and clean I got my food nice warm up form their Restarant
clean hotel , quite and comfort, I like it so much and I will go back there one more time for sure
It was nice two days. the most important thing was the cleanliness of room. I recommend this hotel if you would like to stay for couple of days.
Ok for one night moving student to Queen's. Expected more from room for the price.
Staff are helpful and awesome. Restaurant dining is fabulous. Close to so many amenities.
We had read reviews of most of other hotels in 1000 Island Area and decided to pay a little bit more for our last night in Canada; it was well worth it. Our room in the main building was clean, not small and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, very good value for money and well worth a visit. The pool also looked good. Overall best Travelodge we have ever stayed in.
Clean and comfortable, well run. Gentlemen at the desk were professional and hospitable.
I am very pleased and so was my grandson. I will keep your hotel in mind for my next adventure with my grandson. Also will recommend your hotel to relatives and friends
The hotel is located on a busy street with lots of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores so it offered many options in terms of food. The room was clean. We didn't mind the simply decor but to be honest the furnitures in the room were so old and worn out, the made the daily rate super overpriced. We had minimal interaction with the staff but they seemed fine at check-in and out. Having said... more
Room was nice, bed was comfortable, playpen was dirty from prior use and we had to wash it ourselves and put a sheet on. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool or sauna.
Room, pool and everything else was great! Will stay again.
The wifi wasn't very dependable and the rooms are kind of on the small side. Otherwise, not a bad place to stay.
Would have preferred grab bars in shower and higher toilet. In other words, equipped for seniors.
The hotel s outworn, old and somewhat smelly. They qualify for less than 2 star and yet they charge a four star rate. not please at all.
easy driving access to all points within Kingston; close to a shopping mall; excellent in-house dining facility; friendly and knowledgeable staff; The room was ordinary as were the beds but good value nevertheless; only negative was the slow draining bathtub.
Staff very friendly, room very clean. We enjoyed the pool every night after our days travel. The pool was very clean and we looked forward to our swims. Howell was close to amenities. Had shuttle service to town.
Everything was good. Fairly close to downtown, restaurants, grocery stores, gas station. Only issue was that I was unable to turn off the HVAC fan. Pool and hot tub excellent.
A great place to relax while traveling. The pool and whirlpool were inviting after our long vacation.
hotel was in good location, stayed 3 nights, loved the balcony and we had 3 breakfast and 2 supper. Excellent restaurant in the hotel, all food was very good, big portions and friendly service.
Well the first room we were given had a hairbrush in one of the drawers...made us question the rest of the room. The front desk immediately addressed the issue and gave the room next door. Air conditioning unit was very loud and right beside the bed. The balcony was drab and the ceiling flaking with paint. Updates needed on bathroom ceiling tiles otherwise the bathroom has a nice sink. Very unsatisfied of how my missing Tiffany bracelet was dealt with. I had called the night I checked out when I realized I had left it behind. I was 100% sure I had left it on the bedside table. I called the hotel past 10 and they told me that housekeeping will not be in until 7am and to call tomorrow morning. I called the next morning to be told bluntly that my boyfriend had already called and... more
Very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and nice.
They are trying to update the hotel, which is obviously 40 years old, but it shows it age. Rooms were clean, staff was helpful, no complaints
WiFi problematic, Air conditioning very noisy, alternated very cold with comfortable, Staff friendly, helpful, Room was comfortable
The rooms could be cleaner and the hotel as a whole needs updating. The carpets are worn out the fans never stop even though you have a control in each room
Books for one night only. Nice clean room. Beds were super comfortable.
Room was ok but pillow left on bed and housekeeping notes on bathroom counter but room was clean. EXCELLENT pancakes for breakfast. Not complimentary but excellent.
I had absolutely no issues with the Hotel, I was surprized however at the high cost of the room. For a single person the cost was extremely high.
We arrived having booked two adjoining rooms to find that we did not have them. After some ado we were given two on the same floor but on the opposite side of the hall. Both balconies overlooked the air conditioner vents on a low roof directly opposite our rooms. The rooms were dingy and in need of renovation. We also noticed that the non smoking policy was somewhat suspect as the hall smelled... more
King size room was very clean and spacious, staff were very helpful and friendly. As I was unloading luggage with my 3 month old I had many offers of help from the front desk and even the maintenance staff. Nice balcony facing princess st where we watched the Hog Rally go by. Pool was nice and not over crowded even thought the hotel was fully booked. Over all great room for a good price. Will... more
We were greeted really well . They were very accommodating to me and my 2 kids
The reception staff were very welcoming. There was a great little heated pool and sauna. The hotel was easy to find from off the 401. The room was dated with small beds.
Hotel served our purposes. We would come back to stay again
After a long morning's drive, we were allowed to check in at 10:30 a.m. Very grateful for that.
While the Travelodge is not located terribly close to Kingston's sights, I will choose it over any other properties I've stayed at in the area. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the beds are amazingly comfortable. My kids enjoyed the pool area. Overall, a great value for anyone that is looking for a well cared-for property for a short or long stay.
unpleasant place to stay, staff had a poor attitude and communication with their customers, room was dusty and uncomfortable, price was high compare to the very poor services in the hotel.
The rooms in the motel portion of this hotel are not pleasant. They reek of smoke and are not that clean. However, we knew that would not be amazing, at a Travelodge. What we did not expect was that the door we were assigned (514) did not actually lock. We only realized this after leaving our belongings for the entire... more
Clean comfortable rooms. Loved that they had balconies. The pool was fantastic and clean, and food hours. Super friendly desk staff. My only complaint is no free breakfast. Would defiantly stay again if I were in the area. Didn't get to try the restaurants.
My wife booked this as a surprise last-minute getaway. We stayed in the back section which could use some updating but as smokers, that's the type of room we often get. Most hotels are 100 non-smoking so we looked at the smoking rooms as a bonus.
The really big bonus was the pool area. Though it isn't large, the pool...

This hotel had all the amazing ammenities one could expect. It was beautiful and from our balconie on the second floor we could toss popcorn down and feed the ducks that gathered. Hotel room clean and well maintained. The entrance and front desk area are bright and cheerful. Restaurant is probably the best in Kingston and had great breakfasts, good service and lots of coffee. Also when returning at... more
We were very disappointed. First impression of the room was brown carpet all stretched out and wavey and the room smelt musty. The bathroom was recently renovated.... more
We stayed here for 2 nights for a sporting event. The desk staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms were clean, and a good size. The only drawback is some noise from the bar on lower floors, near the elevator and stairwell.
I booked direct at the hotel (had better rate to all other websites. I stayed at the hotel no motel (bcs they have hotel and motel on site) one evening with my wife to take a break of the kids.

I too stayed at this hotel during the noise issues. The staff at this hotel do not care about their guests. There should be some curteousy for guests who are sleeping. We use travelodge regularly when traveling long distance just for a one night stopover to break up the journey. Make sure you book for the appropiate room, I have initiated the booking for 3 and only a 1 Queen size bed room was confirmed, that I didn't check properly.

Stayed here on a reccomendation and we were very tired from a 12 hour drive. I have to say that I was impressed with the comfort of the room. It was small so it only fit two doubles and not two queen, but the bed was so comfortable as it had a pillowtop, I did not want to get up... more
The rooms where quite comfortable and clean - we had adjoining rooms due travelling with 2 teenagers. The restaurant within the hotel had exceptional cuisine - not just meals. The fish dish was a taste sensation and the prime rib was melt in your mouth. I will return just to be able to experience another meal!
I was very disappointed with the room. It was small, smelly and fair below what I expected for the price that I paid. Amongst other complaints about the hotel, the most appalling was the hotels lack of customer care. I will definitely not be back nor would I recommend to anyone.
Stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms that were linked in the end of August. The hotel is located about 5 mins from Hwy 401 and about 15 minutes or so from Kingston downtown. Front desk staff is quite rude, morning, evening and night. We had a cot, which was saggy in the middle and short. The sheets on the cot had a pubic hair on it, noticed when crawling into bed. Very disappointing. Would never stay again.
Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable.
