Staff asks if we would like to downgrade the room from two double bed to one queen bed. Didn't explain that there is only one queen bed. Room was half the size so we had to change back to two double bed room.
The staff was overwhelmed and slow - it took close to 1/2 hour to check in and we could not reach them by phone after we checked in. But far worse was the fact that the room was dirty with hair in the tub. We were able to switch rooms, luckily. The only positive aspect of this stay was the 24-hour shuttle.
Needed a place with a bed and a bath. Worked out great for what we needed. Food was average kinda bland but the staff was friendly.
The East Indian staff at this hotel treated me as if I were below them. I requested a wake up call. It did not materialize. The airport shuttle: 1) the schedule was inconvenient and worse; 2) the morning driver was particularly ignorant and ill-mannered. 2a: He was late getting to the vehicle which made very passenger late. We (the passengers) suspected he was late so that he did not have to... more

Room was not cleaned from prior occupant. Walked into an unmade bed and garbage cans full...assume bathroom was unclean also. I have photos. If you want to see let me know. I would not recommend this place. How can I show you my pictures?
Front office staff was good and helpful.

Cleanliness, Definitely not the value for your money, Rooms smell terrible.
The Hotel was not in a good location to get to the airport, due to major changes in the near by roads. The room we had was not very clean and in room phone not working and the wake up call never was done. Not a good hotel if your looking to get to the airport at 5 am.
Clean rooms and friendly staff. Very convenient to shopping centre. Good airport shuttle service.
Room, corteous hotel staff and shuttle service to airport.

Clean , good location and free shuttles to the airport

The staff is not very nice
The room was small, but clean and did not smell of smokers. The hotel is supposed to be smoke-free, but the elevators smelled a bit of smokers. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is near the airport and not too far from the center of Calgary. It is a good, reasonably priced place to stay for a day or two.
Location is close to the airport, shuttle bus service is provided.
\n\n
There was a loud party in the opposite room at 2 am. We called to reception four times but the hotel staff did nothing to stop that noise. The guys from the opposite room were hammered and started to threaten me when I tried to calm them down. I called to the police; they arrived in ten minutes but the junkies had escaped....

No complaints
Booked non smoking room got a smoking room room AC was poor bed uncomfortable walls had been patched waited 45 minutes to checkin clerk very unhelpful if not for the late hour and hours tarvelled I would have just left will never stay here again
Calgary is very spread out, so good transportation is essential. The hotel offers 24 hour shuttle service at no charge. Also, the staff is very helpful, and the rooms have coffee and a coffee maker.
the staff was friendly and helpful

The location was good, & while I did not use the airport, it would have been handy. I noticed that there was a shuttle service available to the airport which would have been good.
Connecting to Wi-Fi was easy compared to some hotels I've stayed at.

It was the most disgusting room I have ever been in, cockroaches, beetles, dirt stained carpet, not enough natural sun, damp, door that led to another room. not safe at all. Have reported to Public Health. Want refund. Have reported to twitter & facebook.
The air conditioning was not working properly. We couldn't sleep the
whole night.
Didn't like the fact that the switch to the air-conditioner had to be on "cool" position before the lamp on the desk would work. Also same in the bathroom that the light switch had to on to operate either plug. These plugs should be on separate circuits.
The hotel could have been much cleaner. The carpets of the elevator and hallways by the end of the day really needed to be vacumed. As well there was always garbage left around the lobby, it things that just take that extra little effort. Staff were not very accomidating when asked for things. I found the night staff a lot nicer then the day staff. The heat in the whole building was awful. My... more

The foyer was not clean. The sofas were filthy. In the morning the elevator floors were very dirty. We're they not cleaned during the night..

It was what I wanted. A decent and safe place to sleep, and shower. Nights were quiet, and everything worked. I'd use them again.

outdated furniture, outdated air conditioning system, outdated elevators, outdated everything....in EU countries nobody would come to this hotel but this is America and everything goes
Took an 1.5 to check out. Then the shuttle was full and had to take a cab which cost me $30 and the hotel was supposed to have paid. I am are return traveller needing accommodations twice a month, but will not stay here again!

staff that do not say hallo and good morning

Staff failed to note reservation to get on 5am flight shuttle to airport even after I double checked TWICE. Did finally agree to pay for a taxi to send us... but only after trying to tell us there was nothing they could do. Overall, the staff seemed noncommittal and unfriendly.
Also, rooms smelled dank (like wet dog),...

The reception staff is very impolite, treats customer like crimal.
I liked the location.

I didn't like the fact that we were put into a smelly, smoke scented
room with terrible accommodations. The odor was so bad that my wife and
I got very little sleep. The couple we traveled with had the same
problem and had to keep the window open all night.
I spent around 140$ for one night but didnt satisfy. Next time I would book another hotel from another booking website.
Cost compared to others. Staff was very helpful with meeting our flight.

The elevators made bad noises going up and down while trying to sleep
Staff was as good as they could be with the condition of the hotel.

Needs major upgrading and cleaning. This hotel is in tough shape. The elevators do not sound or feel safe. Burn spots on the sheets and comforters(for a non-smoking room) Water would not drain in all plumbing. I had a better room in Cuba!
Not much. The stay was actually awful. The only decent part was the location.
\n\n
We were put into the wrong room to start. When we were moved into a smoking room finally it was gross. The screen for the window was outside in the gutter along with a lot of trash. The bed spreads had burn holes in them. There was mould in the bathroom. The air conditioner worked on and off and there was no...

The employees were very curtious and helpful. My room was cleaned everyday. Since I am a severe diabetic, everyone on this trip helped to take care of my needs.Would recommend for family or individual stay. They also offered a small refrigerator for my insulin.
I was astonished by the lack of professionalism at their front desk. Someone should do the gentleman (I believe his name was Sean) who was working a favor and fire him. He clearly doesn't like his job.
Decent clean hotel for a good price. Good for a short trip.
Given this is a Travelodge, expectations were not great, however this particular facility was in less than adequate condition, rooms felt shabby and old, and staff was less than welcoming upon arrival.
Best Value. Excellent location. Close to Calgary Airport and several malls. NE of town.
I was not looking to pay a lot of money for my brief stay in Calgary. For the money I paid, I received great value: an excellent location near the airport and the main highway, a clean room, courteous staff, excellent view of downtown and a very comfortable bed. I would stay here again.
Not what I was expecting for the amount I paid for it. I'm sure with the Calgary Stampede going on, had something to do with the price I paid during this stay... But the room was small, doors were narrow and needed repairs, beds were doubles (not the queens mentioned), and had to pay for many amenities (business center computer use, complimentary breakfast, even water/coffee.), and their... more
Comparing rates, I found this to be somewhat smaller than I am used to for the same price. Even increasing your price point by $10 per night, you can usually get a much nicer room. The staff, however, were phenomenal, fun and easy to work with, and the locaiton is fabulous (if you have access to a vehicle).
Hotel was not clean and not well serviced. Onsite restaurant was closed more than it was open. Vending machines not serviced regularly.Good location.
“It is dirty, and smelly. The elevator is scary. The guy at the front desk barely speaks English. I get to my room, the a/c does not work and it is plus 25 outside. Arrived at Calgary airport at 9.45pm after nearly 22 hrs on the go; a little asian girl came to pick me up, just opened the trunk door for me to put the luggage in, then without saying a word or showing the passenger door, trotted off to the driver's door! “Very comfortable place to stay; staff very good; near a lot of little restaurants, not too far from a large food store; bed comfortable; it felt like a safe place to stay; a good buy for the money.”
The hotel is very dated and needs a major upgrade. I've stayed there two times over a one-year period and on both occasions the key cards would not work properly, had to be changed and then required 8-10 tries each time to get the room door open. Very frustrating situation after a 12 hour plane trip.
We were there to attend a wedding.
Hotel halls, carpets and rooms were depressing browns. It may have been clean but you couldn't tell from the dark dirty looking colors. The window in the room had no screen. The only ventilation was a wall unit that had a wall switch with only 2 positions - heat and cool. So you either had to have cool or cold air blowing in or hot air. “Consistent with the Travelogue brand, though a tad overpriced for what you get.”
The hotel is somewhat dated but very clean and well kept. The personnel were very helpful. Access to the internet is somewhat tricky unless you are all wireless as lower floors are not wired for non-wireless hook-up. An older hotel that could use a major upgrade fairly soon.
Very quiet location. Close to airport and retaurants
“Great location to get to airport and the atmosphere was fine for us. The outside of the building could use a face lift, but I am not complaining.”
Location is good, accessible to airport, train and bus stops. People at the reception were quite friendly. Rooms were neat.
Room was small and inconvienient. Dining area/lounge was small, cramped, and not conducive for business entertainment, kind of like being in an over lit, dead end hallway. Location was reasonable, easy access to major roadways.
Room is clean. It's a little small but adequate for one person. It's easy to travel to the airport. Quiet neigborhood.
