tl;dr: Me complaining that the internet does not work as advertised, which might be a big deal for you. Or maybe it isn't a big deal for you.
I paid just over $70 per night here in September 2015. Plus another $14 or so for parking. For the area that isn't bad at all, a budget option, although you can find less expensive places further away from the Falls. It wasn't that great of a stay but it...

Travelodge is generally known as the ideal choice for a budget conscious traveller looking for a clean and fairly consistent place to stay the night however every once in awhile it can go seriously sideways.
Aside from the complaints here about $15 parking and grungy ice buckets my complaints are more numerous. TVs that only offer half dozen channels is a start as are s@!%!y pillows and...

Clean hotel but surprised to find parking $15 a night.
We got a good deal, $25 a night but with parking it is $40.
Pros: Good deal, ok location, friendly staff.
Cons: $15 parking, weak wifi signal.
The hotel was a 5 min walk to Clifton Hill. Paying 15 a night for parking on top of paying the for the hotel was a little silly. But we got a great view from our room of the city below. The rooms were great and the service was good. I read reviews about the hotel before booking it and there were some unhappy guests but I didn't expiriance anything unpleasent. It was a great overall trip.
Checked in here last-minute with lower expectations but when we got there it was better than I had expected. I would like to come back here next time!
Location was great. Within minutes walk to the falls, and casino. Hotel staff was pleasant. Overcharged me for parking ($14.00) when at time of my booking stated only $9.00 for self-park. Did not provide sufficient toiletries for number of people staying in the room. When asked, was informed that they ran out of conditioner!!!. Lots of competition in the same area. Will book last minute next... more
We initially booked a room with a queen size bed and were very pleased to be able to upgrade to a room with a king size bed and a heart shape jacuzzi. We especially like the heart shape jacuzzi. nearby Denny's and l.c.b.o about 15 min. walk to casinos. nice hot tub and warm pool. not fancy but nic
The desk Peter people were very helpful. Need ice machines on every floor. The television at times was out of focus.
From the start someone called our room to see if everything was okay. That was nice. Everything else was just as good. We'll come back again.
Good value! The staff was very professional and helpful.
Pros:
Clean, good location (can walk to everything), decent condition (not old/worn out), free wifi (ok connection),
mini fridge and microwave
Cons:
Parking was $15/day
Not much attention paid to minor details (ice bucket was grungy, left only a 1/4 roll of tp but thoughtfully folded the ends into a triangle, sheets not well tucked)
Woman at check in had the personality of a robot (other staff...

Close to everything - $7 cab to almost anywhere.
Hotel was very dated Walls were paper thin and we could hear people talking (or partying) in other rooms and the hallways at all hours of the day and night
We were disappointed when we arrived to check in to find that we had to pay an extra $14. tax for parking on top of what we had already paid. Also breakfast was NOT included - not even coffee. We are seniors, on a fixed income and went to the Falls to celebrate our 56th wedding anniversary.
As my first review was rejected, I'll be more general this time. First, no where in the Hotel's description did it say there were rooms with a view of the falls available. I can't discredit them for that. However, because of the location of the hotel and number of floors, I had hoped perhaps one of the higher rooms had at least a little view. Nope. the hotel staff indicated that since (here's... more
Nothing fancy but good value for money. Nice location, within walking distance of attractions and the falls. Kids enjoyed the pool.
I was disappointed in this hotel as parking was listed at $9 but it was actually $14 not including HST so it came to $16. If I knew about this, I would have chosen a better hotel in the area or the Trillium Bed and Breakfast which we stayed at the day after. It was a lot better and for about the same price. The air conditioner in our room worked but it was very loud and the room itself is... more
This is my second stay at Travelodge. I paid extra for a jetted tub, assuming the tub was in the room like in the picture they showed. And was very disappointed when I arrived and the tub was in a separate room. When I mentioned at to the front desk, they were very rude!! I left with a bad taste and very upset with how I was treated.
I booked the hotel on-line for my cousins, their family and my parents. It looked clean, presentable, had a pool for the kids and close to the falls. unfortunately the facilities were a little disappointing. For the price I was surprised to find the linens and pillows to be quite tired looking. The rooms could have used an update. The a/c was not working inicially. The restaurant downstairs was... more
We had 2 seniors in a group hotel was great , no problem with getting around the hotel with the 2 wheel chairs did not realise how steep the hills were to push wheel chairs, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Hotel staff was great. Breakfast was nice but I did not think the regular staff was in the kitchen as it took a bit longer than normal at other places.
Nothing to complain about except for the absence of a fitness center. Hotel was quite adequate. Except for the majesty of the falls, not sure why anyone would want to stay in Niagara Falls. Wall-to-wall wax museums, souvenir shops, etc., etc. It all cheapens the "natural" beauty of the falls.
hotel has a bad pillow I ever saw in my life washroom not suppose to be close to the door it is facing the entrance door and parking far from hotel 14 dollars
Hotel was good ,just indoor pool wasn't clean and ready to use. No shampoo in the pool showers.
Very nice overall, the rooms were spacious ,fridge in the room to keep water or drinks . The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We will stay there again
Very pleasant front desk staff, rooms are basic but very clean. Breakfast available in hotel restaurant at prices reasonable for the area. Good selection of restaurants surrounding property.
They charged us with $14.00 a day for parking ,the price displayed at the web site was only $9 a day, make sure to check this fee before booking. Hotel is about 3 block s away from the falls.
Hotel was clean with a nice staff. Great breakfast. Walked to almost everything I wanted to see.
The room was clean and hotel was very decent. They say free Wi-Fi, but I never got it the whole stay.
The hotel is in a good location and the room was OK. My big issue was the service at the hotel. I booked through hotels.com two rooms for two nights, but I had done two separate reservations for both nights because we were supposed to stay somewhere else the second night. When I checked in, for my unpleasant surprise, the lady at the front desk told me that one of my two rooms for the second... more
hotel was a pass for a place to sleep and freshen up - wall paper peeling in the washroom and it was a bit dusty. The convenience of the location was good however, so it was ok as we were busy with the attractions more so barely spent much time in there.
Hotel location was great! Staff was excellent! However that Hotel had some maintenance issues. For example the floor tiles in the elevators where severely broken up making for a trip hazard. The room while spotless and comfortable lacked extra pillows and had paper cups for the coffee maker. Glassware coffee mugs and glass drinking glasses would be very useful. In room fridge was difficult to... more
Went we got to Niagara Falls ], we didn't need to drive anywhere. Everything was in walking distance. Be prepared to walk the hill, where all the activities are! Our only concern was the internet! Even though we voiced our concerns twice, it was still terrible! The staff was very willing to reboot it. But it was still very slow Otherwise all was good!
Our first reaction was that the room was pretty small. We only used the room for sleepping and only spent one night so it did not impact our stay.
Our stay me, my husband and my son was amazing. The hotel was close to all attractions and restaurants. The room was clean and the service was amazing and the staff was kind. The only problem is that we were told the parking was $9 and when we checked in they said the parking is $14 but I told them that we were told its for $9 so they changed it for us but when we checked out there was taxes on... more

Weird smell to room. Only one disabled parking spot. Pricey for discounted room. Pay for parking ? Its a hotel.
I really quite enjoyed the Travelodge. Its a nice and fairly short walk from both clifton hills and the falls. Our room was wonderful, comfortable bed it was clean and even had a nice hot tub. Over all i give it a thumbs up, however the breakfast... more
This hotel was average at best. The couches in the lobby were dirty with stains. When i checked in i explained to them that i had a reservation for 3 adults and 1 child but they still tried to charge me an extra $10 per night for the 3rd adult. Whirlpool jets in tub did not work. Hot tub in pool area did not work. They asked that we not use the room towels at the pool but to get them from the front desk, the front desk didn't have any. The beds were old, hard and extremely uncomfortable. The pillows had absolutely no support in them. We were better off without them.
our stay was very brief to give a lengthen review but, we enjoyed it. though, i would have liked it if the parking was free for the guest
It was very easy and nice hotel. The room has good furniture with big enough space. It has good environment for walking around.
Overall, all was good. Close to the main street, and not a far walk to the falls.
For the price and accessibility to everything I would stay again.
While checking in the receptionist was very polite and accomodating,,,pool area very clean..breakfast staff very friendly
People in the next room where loud called front desk they fixed that everything was good after that good place to stay
Great service for the check in and the check out. The staff answer our questions. The bed is not confortable as we expected. The room and bathroom was clean and correct.
1 night only, looks nice, clean, pool inside, not far to everything, very small fridge, friendly staff, no problems
We visited this hotel, we were told parking and hot breakfast would be included. Turns out both are incorrect, so fine whatever, we get to the room and there is dirty towels in the bathroom.
This made for an uncomfortable sleep. When we complained all we got was sorry. So we overpaid by far. Im never comming back to travellodge
Very very nice hotel! the rooms clean, the beds confortable, the pool perfect, nice views to the city and perfect location. The staff very friendly and great service. Good parking for guests and to steps to cliffton hill attractions and the falls.
This hotel is in a very good location for dining, Clifton Hill and both sets of falls. We were able to walk to the falls and then back to Clifton Hill amusements. The hotel was reasonably priced with pool, hot tub and sauna.
Stayed there for a night while in town for a wine tour. Great location, affordable and clean. Basic accommodation but had lots of towels. Breakfast downstairs was basic but perfect and affordable as well. So much better then we were expecting.
After checking out of a DUMP on Lundy's Lane, we checked into this Travelodge. What a pleasant surprise!! Sheets were clean, the room was spotless, the washroom was spic'n span and there was heat. Pleasant staff and clean hotel, what more can it say. Well worth the $120.00/night. Lots of great things about this hotel!!!!
My stay was excellent. The hotel was clean and kept up to date. There were only 20 T.V. chanels including HBO and Disney. It was nice to watch American T.V instead of Canadian. The staff are frendly, the breakfest buffet is great and cheap $6.99 all you can eat. There are two parts an old motel and and a new enclosed hotel. I havent stay in the old motel so I can't comment.

The room was very clean and fresh. The emloyees were very kind and overall we really enjoyed our weekend there. The only thing is that the mattress was a bit used but besides everything was great. The pool and the hot tub was very nice too.
We stayed at the Travelodge quite by chance - after a HORRIBLE experience at another hotel in Niagara Falls, NY., my friends and I hightailed it back to Canada and this was one of the few hotels that 1) had a vacancy and 2) was reasonably priced. We called before leaving NY and asked if there was a surcharge for... more
This hotel was a pleasant surprise, wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival to find a very clean, quiet, friendly staff, central location. Only things that would have been better, would have been a

P.S. Best hotel shower I've ever experience, excellent water pressure.
We stayed at the Travelodge this past New Years Eve. I was a little leery about staying at the 'Travelodge', but at that time of year hotels seem to think that they are able to draw a room-rate out of their 'behinds' and charge astronomical prices for average rooms. I work at a hotel just north of Toronto so I... more

I was able to find a good deal here for a one night stay. The hotel is conveniently located within a fifteen minute walk to the falls. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was good. We also had fun in their indoor and outdoor pools. The attached restaurant had a decent breakfast as an added expense.
Very good location, excellent service & staff with very good breakfast. Rooms looking a bit tired but very clean. To be honest you won't get much better, as away from Niagara Falls the area is very seedy indeed.
This was a comfortable hotel with convenient parking. It was an easy walk to the Casino, Falls and restaurants. The wine country is a short easy drive away.
I spent 4 days at this hotel- and had the most beautiful view of the Skylon Tower to watch every evening. The hotel was within walking distance of all the attractions. The staff was very good. Decent enough location considering the price. Rooms were comfy and clean with reasonable views, though not of the falls. Breakfast was great, though pricy. Room was clean. A close 10 minute walk to attractions, 20 minute walk to the falls. Paying to park at a hotel is a bit more than I'm use to. The hotel review ad clearly says 2 free hot breakfasts. “I am likely to stay at this hotel again if I travel back to Niagara Falls.”
Really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is only 10 minute walk from the falls and not even 5 minutes away from Clifton Hill. The check in was easy and fast.
I was not satisfied with the room. I was dirty, noisy walls. Lacks refrigerator and other useful appliances.
I went the Niagara falls, and I reserved this hotel. The location was good with this budget, and clean, nice staffs, comfortable beds, etc.
Hotel location perfect, a short walk to sightseeing, shopping, restaurants. Only drawback was outside parking lot with $9 fee.
walking distance to casino, restuarants, and falls.
beautiful location close to attractions.walking distance to everything
The location, price etc all met my needs as I was in town for 1 night. The hotel and my room were very clean and comfortable.
“Don't get shocked when you see their breakfast which consists of only little muffins and miniature sized doughnuts! The hotel is not situated in downtown but they still charge you 8 dollars for parking, it is not a short walk into downtown and they do not have a shuttle service. Therefore you will have to pay for parking again in Niagara Falls!”
hotel was very nice, walking distance to all attractions, nice room, but no breakfast included and they charge $9.00/day for parking.
Great pool, kids had great time at it.I enjoy starting my day with a walk on the tredmill, but no fitness center.
Only able to get internet in the lobby a inconvience since should be in the room; paying for parking was a surprise; breakfast would be nice
This hotel is a good option for those looking to visit Niagara Falls on a budget. You can get a pretty decent room at a non-sketchy place for around $65/night USD plus parking of $9/night CAD. While you won't be able to view the Falls from the hotel, they are only about a 15 minute walk away.
During the summer spring or fall this would be "within walking distance of the falls, however during the winter I would stay somewhere a little closer. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and modern. They could use ice machines on every floor instead of only in the lobby. Lots of restaurants near bye.
“Our stay was very nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and we had what we needed. It was quiet and me and my husband were able to have a wonderful stay close to the falls and had a quiet room with a pretty comfortable queen size bed. Thanks!”
“We were very disappointed. We were told we could see the falls from the hotel no one in hotel able to all we saw were other bldgs and parking lots. When asked about church services at front desk no one was able to help us. The person taking care of our room was very friendly and she kept the room clean.”
“Good location, staff friendly, hotel clean. Indoor pool small, outdoor pool extremely tiny. Bathroom small. Very nice view of the town.”
“Enjoyed our stay. Close to Downtown and the Falls weren't too far away. Thought the price was reasonable as well. If I was going to this location again, I would stay at this hotel again.”
“Not very fancy but clean and comfortable. Great restaurant for breakfast only. The staffs of both the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.”
“Not too far to walk to the Falls and located past the "hubbub" of Clifton Hill's man made tourist attractions. Front Desk personnel knowledgeable of area and helpful.”
“The hotel room is bland. Decoration is outdate. Bed is not too comfortable.”
Very nice clean hotel, very friendly staff, a short walk to pretty much everything. The only real downside is the parking. Hotel parking is in a lot across the street, and you have to have a room key to get in. Add this to the fact that there's no reserved parking up front for people checking in, and it makes it very awkward to actually check in. We had to pull over next to the building,... more
“This hotel was very family orientated, was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our stay.”
“I was charged for an extra person and not told that I would be upon arrival. The extra person was the equivalent price to that of another room. Had I known I would have simply gotten another room instead. They did not tell me that I would be charged that much extra until I checked out. I find that kind of behavior sneaky and misleading. I was not at all impressed.”
“If what you need is a place to sleep in, this hotel fits the bill nicely. The location is good -a short walk to Niagara falls- but this comes at a steep price. In other words, you will pay premium, 3 star price, for econo-motel accommodations. It's saving grace is the friendly staff.”
“Hotel is in a central location of the falls and was a cheap stay. Rooms were clean and roomy and indicate more than a 2 star rating. However, there is lingering smoke smell in the hotel lobby and hallways that puts you off when you first walk in. This is a perfect hotel for those that want a clean, affordable place to crash after a night out on the town. Falls view casino is a 10 minute walk... more
“This hotel is within walking distance (for healthy people) of the falls. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and included a fridge and microwave!”
“The room was clean and comfortable although a little tight in the bed area. The restaurant was too expensive and there was no complimentary breakfast of any type. The pool was small but the location was great.”
“Enjoyed stay. Only downfall was limited TV stations especially if you have children. We didn¿t go to watch TV so this was mild incontinence. Hotel is easy access to most anything. Nice pool and hot tub area and if you don't intend on spending lots of time in room this was a great hotel for the price. Don¿t know if we could have done any better for a 2 day stay.”
“I thought the hotel was great for the price. We could walk to everything we wanted to do in the area. The free parking was also a deciding factor in taking a chance on staying there. We had quality breakfasts in the hotel restaurant, and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.”
“The hotel was not at fault, but I was not told there would be additional charge for two friends that went along with us....this is the reason we chose a hotel room with two queen size beds. I went back and saw this small print statement...I don't mind paying extra but I like to know firsthand and boldly. We could have upgraded to a better hotel class.”
“We loved the view, the location, the restaurant, the staff, clean, easily accessible, gift shop. Everything was very nice! We can't wait to go back again!”
“The hotel room seemed a little over priced on what it really had to offer. it was however walking distant to all the major attractions.”
“New building, great service, walking distance to Clifton Hills district and the falls.
You can't see the falls from the hotel, there is another hotel in the way. This isn't really a bad thing, it means it is much cheaper. If you must see the falls from your room, you will pay a premium for it. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and the shower was excellent. Heck, the whole bathroom was...
