TILTED GRILL Casual Steak and Street Food is the first meeting place in Calgary to feature a menu of unique takes on Street Food from around the globe as well offering a fully complemented steak menu in an informal and relaxed setting.
Street Food is a concept and staple existing the world over but has recently taken a prominent place across North America where a lunch truck craze has taken...

Got my order wrong and denied it instead of offering to correct it. Food was acceptable at best. Wouldn't rush to come here again, given the amount of options around the area.
Great Gourmet Street food - although they have cut the menu down alot - I would suggest the Korean BBQ Sliders and for all those Stampede Carni Foodies out there your gourmet secret to those mini donuts is Tilted Grills Banana Mini Donut Satay - perfect combination of mini donuts, bananas, and silky smooth chocolate sauce - thumbs tilted up for this Mission Gem !
Tilted Grill is a great, casual dining place! I had not heard a lot about this place prior to trying it out this week --- but given how much we enjoyed our dining experience -- we will be back!
We had a beautiful evening so decided to eat outside on the big patio. Our server - Avery -- was excellent....

I really like this patio. On a nice summer day, I’m more than happy to round up a "friend" for a round of deserts and cocktails under the patio umbrellas. At sunset. Always sunset, because let’s face it, Tilted Grill isn’t known for having great appetizers or entrees that leave you satisfied or impressed—BUT if you wanted to treat your lady (or man) friend in a non-obvious, casual, yet... more
We really enjoyed TG; the location is great, and you can choose to sit outdoors at the tables or comfortable couches. Since the day was warm,we sat indoors. The window was open nearby, so it was the best of both worlds. Great waitress; she had a great attitude, knew the menu, and never missed a beat to bring everything we... more
Ok, i've eaten here a few times and have to say i like the new menu better and i've never experienced anything negative here at all! Had the rib steak the other day (ordered rare) and have to say the meat quality seemed amazing, cooked perfect and seasoned just right. I think it was $28 but would have happily paid 40 for it. I've had the burger twice (awesome) and tried out the pot stickers and... more
We went there 2ice and I can't mention anywhere else with foods oilier than here, just tastes like oil and also no good service both times!
Service is atrocious. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, went back again a month or so later and despite a manager being on the floor and a deserted restaurant it somehow managed to be worse the second time. Food's ok, but nothing worth suffering through their incompetent staff for. Almost went a third time when the sun was shining and the patio seemed decent, but after being... more
Our group of 20 booked the back room for saturday brunch. We had pretty good service, and everyone liked their meals. Red velvet pancakes were awesome, but the half order would have been more than enough and I was starving. Their strawberry yogurt with puréed mango was great, and the choc coconut granola was interesting. Maybe not my first choice to pair with the fruit and yogurt, but it turned... more
Went in for lunch for the first (and last) time. First of all, the decor is tacky - The only nice thing about the place is the patio. There were maybe 3 tables in the entire place and we waited 5 minutes before we were even seated. We weren't even sure who our server was because we had two girls back and forth. The servers seemed very inexperienced and awkward. It took quite a while to get our... more
I had no complaints of their spacious seating, contemporary finishings and classy atmosphere. Everything about Tilted Grill makes you want to indulge
A big bunch of me and my friends were relaxing outside on the patio and received excellent service. Leah was friendly and attentive and made our experience incredibly comfortable. Great snacks and drinks and service. Thanks Leah, thanks tilted grill :)
Sometimes when I'm depressed I eat here instead of cutting myself
I honestly don't know how restaurants do it. I understand the vouchers are kind of like a marketing thing but do they lose money with these deals? Livingsocial had such a sweet deal with the tilted grill that was hard to pass. 2 appetizers, 2 steak mains, 2 desserts and 2 glasses of wine for $60? Yes please. So there I was last Thursday with my brother. We had reservations at 6:30pm and the... more
Very disappointed. Too many rules! Can't accommodate a party of 8 on the patio; wheelchair accessible but we have to lift them up a step; can only order off the brunch menu; no dessert til 2:00... Then they run out of brunch dishes, what we did get was very disappointing (steer clear from the Huevos rancheros - 2 eggs on tortollas is not what i was expecting); service lacking. Will not be... more
For my entree I got the Carne Asada Tacos, with the loaded baked potato on the side.... as far as the tacos, I wasn't crazy about them... they were too full of meat to eat manageably..... more
Worst service ever. We picked this place based on the reviews and I think that they were totally wrong. We pride ourselves on being foodies and we have gone to a lot of places. This is the worst. Do not go there. And the manager had bad excuses. If you cannot get enough staff to open up the patio then don't open it up.
This place flat out sucks...Food took 2 hours to come out at the end we just my buddy left without eating anything at all. I won't be going back anytime soon
The concept of Tilted Grill is interesting - street food in a restaurant.
The wife and I were enticed by the Red Velvet Pancakes at the Tilted Grill. An ingenious creation the pancakes are like eating three red velvet cupcakes flattened out and stacked on top of each other. A bit denser than a cupcake, the pancakes were still fluffy, but INCREDIBLY rich. Especially when you add the dollops of cream cheese and maple syrup which is impossible to resist. The pancakes... more
My wife & I decided to give Tilted Grill a whirl after passing by many times. The Stuffed Burger was on special, so we decided to try it out. What a delicious meal! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and just absolutely tasty. Prices are a tad on the higher side, but if you can score a daily special you might as well give it a try. Friendly service too!
Really excellent burger and great service. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!
You have to try the Glazed Donut Satay dessert! If anything we’d come back for nothing but the dessert. It was that good.
I have been to Tilted Grill twice now. I really like the concept and thought the food was good the first time but the service was really poor and the food took forever. The place wasn't busy but I chalked this up to the growing pains of a new place and decided to go back. The service was worse, I walked out before I got my drink, so not a good sign. The owner came over the first time and seems... more
A great menu filled with street food creations and more classic dishes that fit the nicely done interior and huge patio out front. The shrimp cakes were great! Huge chunks of shrimp and a nice blend of flavors. The sliders were as good as any I've had in LA from the huge offering of street vendors. Main dishes were excellent and well prepared. The service was very friendly and attentive, the... more
Flavors you would find at a typical food cart. And the food is damn good!
I really wanted to like the Tilted Grill. The menu is diverse and ambitious, but the food didn't quite meet our expectations. The service was good, despite them still obviously working out some kinks. The owners seem very enthusiastic, hands-on and eager to see success. Although I wasn't blown away, I will give them another chance in a few months.
Bringing street food indoors, with many Los Angeles-style food truck classics on the menu, like Vietnamese pork skewers, Korean barbecue burritos, and a gourmet grilled cheese, with aged cheddar, provolone and gruyere, sandwiched between sourdough bread. Huge patio and extensive wine list. Entrees: $$
