Huge party or something going on. Hotel staff overwhelmed. Had to wait for quite a while to check in. Hotel was noisy all night with banging on the walls. Fairway view consisted of looking out over a bad clump of trees and tennis courts. Paid extra for nothing.

Too expensive

I was just visiting a friend who couldn't put us up. The room layout was weird. I wanted to golf 9 holes but this apparantly was impossible. A round was close to 200 dollars with club rental.

Nice resort....

We stayed for 5 nights. The suite we reserved was spacious and great. The room service and the food at the restaurant was excellent and on the healthier side which is always ideal. The staff was great and friendly. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Nice new hotel

Restaurant is what sets this hotel apart. I would say it would be worth it to just come up and eat at the restaurant even if you were not staying at the hotel. Prices are reasonable and food was awesome they didn't fall short in any aspect. We ate there twice. The hotel itself is quite new in good condition well run, nice fitness club.

The staff at Bear Mountain were very efficient and kind. They go the extra mile. Our kids enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and were disappointed to leave. Nice Golf Resort Hotel

We stayed in this hotel a few times before and the staff is always courteous. We were upgraded twice in the past. Beds are always comfortable. The room has ample counter space with a sink, microwave and dinnerware which comes in handy for having some fruits in the room. Enjoyed watching the golfers coming in finishing the 18th hole.

We had 4 nights in the Freeway annex of this hotel, which is part of an extensive new housing development in the western hills of Victoria. Booked 3 nights to escape the busy city life but wishing we could have our several hundred dollars back and at home. Rooms are smaller than I expected

We stayed here for a few days in July. The resort is really nice but customer service is not their number one priority. The rooms are a little small but very clean and nice. There's a heated outside pool which was great.

Stayed here because it was a reasonably priced hotel outside of Victoria. The stay was very enjoyable and the golf course looked great. I got an upgrade to the suite and it was massive. I would definitely recommend as an alternative to the downtown hotels

It was in the middle of a subdivision and seemed to have the locals using the pool and fitness centre. A lot of families with children. It was not like it sounded in there add in the middle of the mountains, peace and quite. The drive thru the subdivision was not what we expected.

Wonderful Relaxing Experience

We were spoiled with this hotel at the start of our 3 cities vacation. We were upgraded to a suite which was a bonus. My only regret was that we didn't end with this hotel as the last place was a dump in comparison. My suggestion is to allow enough time to enjoy the property. I will definitely be back if I can find a similar deal.

Paper walls and suburbia

Super friendly staff, beautiful location. Unusually, the resort fee included use of the driving range -- and they provided free rental clubs (not sure if this was a special favor or really included). It is a nice hotel with great amenities including a spa and wireless Internet access. However, the acoustic insulation is rather poor. Talking anywhere above whispering could be heard potentially in the hallway and attract complaints from neighboring guests and rude knocks from security on the door.

Excellent hotel, we were in Victoria for a wedding and had a great time staying at the Westin Bear Mountain. One thing to note is that there is a $15 / day resort fee that we were not aware of until we arrived. Try the sushi restuarant if you stay there - it's excellent.
