Service is top notch here from when you step foot on the sidewalk to anywhere you walk in the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious with even a walk-in closet. If there is anything you need, they are ready to accommodate. They offer free water bottles and have a turn down service at night. There is so much attention to detail down to nicely coiling your phone charger cord with a band. The... plus
Great hotel great location and great food. What else is there to say ? Just great.
I am reviewing the afternoon tea, not the hotel itself nor the rooms.
Make sure you get a reservation before coming, as this place is pretty popular for the ladies for some catching up or gossiping. The price is more towards the expensive side (36$ per person + tax and tips) but it is a nice experience for a special occasion or once in a while. The salty sandwhiches, the scones and the...

Every single aspect of our stay was specifically crafted and delightful!
We arrived too early for check-in, but we're greeted by the hotel manager and staff as if we were celebrities. The staff promptly took our luggage, checked us in and told us they would call as soon as our room was ready. They also gave us access to the fitness facilities, pool and spa.
The fitness facilities are on the...

If you have never been to Montreal, I suggest with all of my heart that you do. And, if you ever have the opportunity to spend time there, be sure to check into the Ritz Carlton in Montreal--we did and it was beyond words. Located in a beautiful part of town and on a wonderful street lined with some of the best shopping, the Ritz here will not disappoint. We had an exceptional stay as to be... plus
I just wanted to Veronica De Foy and the Ritz Carlton team for everything this weekend. What an incredible team and experience.
I have spent over 130 nights in hotels so far this year and Veronica and the RC team here in Montreal put the last two nights near or at the top of the list.
When we arrived, they had upgraded me for my birthday to a suite with a fireplace which delighted my...

They say that this is the original Ritz-Carlton (it isn't that I don't believe them, just that I wasn't there, so I can't say for certain). It's nice - on the outside, they have that old-school, fancified feel, and for the most part are treated well as a guest from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
The check in process is excellent. Though our room was not ready when we arrived...

Friendly and excellent service - couldn't ask for better. The rooms are nice but not spectacular....it's the service that makes this 5 Star. Food is also what you would except from a Ritz. When we come back to Montreal this is where we'll stay for sure.
High tea disaster! I went here with a few friends, and soon after ordering a SOUND CHECK started behind the wall next to us. In the reception hall, mid afternoon, a band was prepping, loudly, for a performance. These weren't even rock songs... it was a few loud chords, a mash of loud electronic music... it was really really distracting. The waitress shrugged that it happens often. But on the... plus
Classic old hotel with all the right upgrades and features. Love the toto washlet in the bathroom. Good water pressure in shower. Comfortable bed and linen. Very Nicely done start to finish and service was top notch. s
The Ritz in Montreal is beautiful. It is located near great restaurants and shopping. Check in service is perfect. There was no wait and our room was ready. The room was large and spotless. It was also beautiful. I did not want to go home.
We were there on a business trip with others, so we enjoyed the conference rooms, the buffet service while in conference and the excellent service.

I celebrated Christmas with High Tea in the Palm Court in the Ritz Hotel. I spent many an afternoon at the Palm Court at the Plaza in NYC and at the Connaught in London and this High Tea is as special as those places.
It is a more intimate environment than the one in NYC which I liked. If you can request the table by the fireplace. The decor is more living room than dining room which gives it...

I'd assume this is a very nice hotel to stay at, but the afternoon tea really isn't that great.
The service was excellent - I asked for directions and the person took my name, walked me to the restaurant, passed my name onto the server, and the whole process was just very seamlessly welcoming. The Christmas decor was also nice. Those were the best parts of my visit.
The tea was excellent...

For my 300th review on Yelp....I decided to write about celebrating my Mami's Birthday at the Ritz-Carlton where we went for Afternoon High Tea!

The staff at this amazing hotel go above and beyond for their clients! It starts when you walk in to check in and even until the very last minute when you're waiting for your car to go back home!
I loved the food!! It was the best room service I've ever had. I loved that they serve the same menu 24 hours a day!
The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable! I would definitely come back :)
I recently attended an executive conference at this Ritz. First, the property is perfectly located. Lots of dining, boutique shopping and recreational trails for running. Second - the rooms are fabulous. Wonderfully modern but without losing the charm and character of mi treat. And third -- the service is fabulous. Immensely enjoyed my stay and will absolutely return.
I have been to many Ritz all over the world and this is definitely one of my favorites!! Great location. Gorgeous room, lobby, restaurant and courtyard. I especially loved the high-tech toilet. Impeccable service as usual with Ritz. All the that is missing is a lounge and this place would be perfect!
The Ritz was a perfect place to stay in Montreal. The staff was friendly throughout. We were upgraded when we arrived. It is definitely cheap but a luxury hotel. The rooms are very large. Comfortable king bed. Large closet. Huge bathroom and soaking tub with a separate shower and a fancy toilet.
We had a city view and there a nice nook on the other side of the tub that you can just sit in to...

I brought my mum here for her 70th birthday a couple of years ago, as I had promised her an afternoon tea at the ritz for her birthday, unfortunately that was before we moved to Montreal from London, UK, but I thought it would be nice anyway, unfortunately, the order was wrong, I hate earl grey tea, but no complaints, it was my mum's special day, but really the cakes and sandwiches were really... plus
Run down, and not particularly grand. The saving grace was the reception desk, whose service generally kept up the reputation of the hotel chain. Not bad but not particularly good is the impression I was left with. On the arrival date for instance there was a very nice welcome message and fruits and water. The next day however the room cleaning reminded me of when I was younger and stayed in 3... plus
This is a review only on the meeting room, not on the actual hotel rooms. We had a last minute change to a meeting venue and ended up here. I could not have been more pleased. Went to the Ritz Carlton for high tea to celebrate my mom's birthday. I ordered the tropic green tea and it was accompanied by cranberry scones and Devonshire cream and jam. The Devonshire cream reminds me so much of when I had it in London. Also on the same serving tray there were small sandwiches and small pastries that were so delicious. Will definitely come back again.
Great afternoon at the Ritz! First, I had drinks at the Dom Perignon Bar. I had a Fly me to the Moon cocktail. It was a decent drink, kind of tropical. Service was great. Our server was Mikhail who also served us at Afternoon Tea. My friend and I sat by the fireplace and enjoyed our three tiers of delights. The scones and biscuits were good, served with a clotted cream and preserves. I enjoyed... plus
We stayed here for our honeymoon in June. Our experience was amazing from the moment we stepped foot in the Ritz Carlton in Montreal. The staff was welcoming, polite and exuded professionalism. The room was fabulous, as well. You cannot go wrong with choosing this hotel for your visit to Montreal.

Tout était superbe! La piscine, la chambre, le bain, le service, l'emplacememt... bref, à recommencer!
Came here for afternoon tea on Valentines.
What a lovely experience. The decor and ambience was very beautiful. The down stuffed cushions were very comfortable.
We chose the jasmine tea, being an avid tea drinker and collector I was expecting the bagged loose leaf tea here at the Ritz to be superb. I felt like it could have been better, the jasmine flavour wasn't coming through as nicely as I'd...

Let me start by saying that like any Ritz Carlton Hotel, it is GORGEOUS. The lobby is beautiful, we had tea in the Palm Room which is right past the lobby. The hotel was extraordinary in accommodation and service. We upgraded our room on arrival for under rack rate and received a lovely signature room with an elaborate marble bath - we didn't want to leave the heated floor or upscale Toto toilet! This cozy boutique hotel is intimate and warm while providing ultra modern amenities. From the wonderfully equipped room to the excellent concierge service, there was nothing we could have wanted improved. The food was excellent, and vegetarian offerings were very welcome. Short walk from Rue St Catherine and lots of excellent restaurants.
Amazing hotel, even by 5 star standards. Staff is beyond professional, extremely service oriented and welcoming. Would run to this hotel.
This review is for lunch at the Palm Court (didn't stay at the hotel itself). The hotel is opulent and beautiful. The lobby opens up into the Palm Court where you'll see people having champagne and afternoon tea + cakes. The smoked meat sandwiches were delicious - came with fresh cut fries, coleslaw, and incredibly pickled pickles.
Fantastic hotel, staff and location. Worth every penny if you stay in Montreal.
everything excellent, comfortable, clean, luxurious, everybody went above and beyond to provide excellent service
Beautiful hotel with great amenities. They accommodated our early check in time and even gave us some free drinks with lunch. Mylena at the front desk took fantastic care of us throughout our one night stay. Highly recommended!
The newly renovated Ritz Carlton in Montreal is outstanding. The service was excellent; the staff was polite and consistently accommodating. We were shown to our room earlier than we anticipated. Very nice medium sized luxury 5 star hotel with great service, very nice well appointed rooms with interesting electronic bathroom features, a great restaurant and a good location. We enjoyed the tea too (make a reservation for weekends and go for the 1pm service).
Except for the construction mess on Sherbrooke, this stay was amazing. Staff above and beyond!
Big, comfy room. Lovely bathroom. Great housekeeping service. Helpful concierge. And loved the spa. Only thing this hotel is missing is a hot tub in the pool deck.

Excellent staff and prompt service.
Room dining was a pleasurable experience. Good food.
As a frequent business traveler staying in top notch hotels, I have to say this is by far one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms are amazing, great service, and their event staff are top notch. They do a really nice job here and should be commended.
Beautiful hotel, perfect location (food, shopping, running trails), and amazing staff! The concierge Jane went above and beyond regardless of the request, making our weekend for "heavy montreal" perfect!
"Great Hotel, Amazing Service"My stay at Ritz-Carlton Montréal was great! Very upscale Staff was very friendly and helpful Easy walking to many restaurants and attractions A little more pricey than some hotels but worth it I recommend trying it..
After learning about the hotel's new renovation, I stayed there for 4 nights during late July, booked via Amex's fine hotel/resort program. O hotel é de alto padrão, com tudo que é necessário para uma estadia fantástica. Não tem restaurante para café da manhã, mas o room service leva até o seu quarto. Equipe muito profissional.
Loved our stay in this hotel. It is centrally located, walkable to most attractions and convenient to the metro. We even walked to Vieux Montreal, though that might be a bit far for some. Very nice, exclusive hotel. It lacks a restaurant, though. It only has the maison Boulud, too expensive to have just a cup of coffee and some pastries.

Lovely staff, great bathroom, but the interior design is not the usually tasteful Ritz-Carlton one, it's a bit tacky with elements from the 1930's. The bathroom though is absolutely amazing. This is the standard of Ritz Carlton. The technologically advanced toilets (heated, auto lid, auto flush, cleaning features and fan) are reason enough to stay the night at this hotel.
