A great spot if you're looking for that old english pub feel. The patio was quite busy over the summer months, and you can bring your own mug to keep there for when you pop by!
I decided to have haggis, in honour of 'Robbie Burns' day - and wasn't disappointed - however it didnt remind me of the haggis I used to have as a kid. The Loose Cannon's haggis was flavourful and came with a good mix of veggies. Washed down with a nice pint of Guinness - what could be better!
I think the first 100 days of a new pub should be treated like the first 100 days of the United States President in office - let them settle into the position and avoid overly harsh criticism.

The Loose Cannon is a Scottish-style pub, offering traditional pub fare (including haggis!). I've had their haddock twice, and it was cooked to perfection on both occasions. They were also very accommodating when it came to making substitutions for the side dishes due to dietary restrictions. This is not a place for regulars - the menu selection is very limited. But I would recommend going their once to get a taste of their kitchen. The atmosphere is romantic, the food is cooked in exotic styles.
