The hotel is nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and rooms are a decent size. The price for a double queen for a senior(55) was 99 plus tax.
It's too bad there wasn't a continental breakfast offered.

This is a great stop in Port Alberni. Doesn't appear to be much from the outside, but it definitely has the best selection of craft inside. They always have a number of releases from Driftwood, including the rare releases. All of them are in the fridge, which is great. Vibe is a typical liquor store, and the service is nothing to speak of. Selection selection selection.

I liked that the bed was very comfortable and the room had a microwave and a fridge. I wish I had known ahead as I would have brought popcorn. Quiet hotel despite being on a busy street.

Clean hotel under lobby renovations

The hotel allowed us to check in early which was very appreciated. They gave us a room on 2nd floor but changed us to the first floor because we had our dog with us. This was fine but when we got to the new room it had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. They gave us a third room which turned out to be a very clean and comfortable room. Best hotel in this small town

Was pleasantly surprised with how clean and modern (recently updated?) this hotel was after looking at pictures of some of the other hotels in this town. I would wager this is the nicest one in this price range! Nice outdoor pool and hot tub that is still covered with walls so it kind of feels indoors.

Port alberni's finest ..........

It was fine for sleeping and that's about it. Not too many hotel options in Port Alberni. Reasonably priced. NO ELEVATOR!!! Sucked packing my toddler, and all that travelling with one entails, up a flight of stairs at midnight.

Excellent service and comfortable beds

An excellent hotel with a superb restaurant offering a wide choice for both breakfast and dinner that we had each of our two days in this hotel. The heated and covered swimming pool was an wonderful bonus as was the hot tub/Jacuzzi next to it. Although a very good hotel it is situated a little way out of the town centre of Port Alberni.

We spent 3 nights using this hotel as a base to see Port Alberni, Tofino, and The Pacific Rim National Park. The hotel staff was very helpful finding things to see and places to eat. The hotel restaurant had an excellent blackened salmon salad. Liquor store was next door and Tim Horton's just down the street.

it's not bad for a short stay, but the hotel breakfast is expensive.

Low Motel level at a Middle of the road Price.

The room we were given was very small. The room smelled bad. The bed was old and bathroom was missing the towels. The "High speed" internet was so very slow. The staff at the front desk could not smile if there life was on the line. The best part was the town area it self. Great area to visit.

Off the main highway but easy to find and not far from downtown Port Alberni. It had a covered swimming pool and was excellent as we were traveling with grand children. A drive through Tim Horton's was close by and that is whee we had breakfast.

The air conditioning was very noisy and when it was off, there was a strong odour of very old cigarette smoke. The smell was strong enough to wake me up numerous times in the night. Great place to stay!

The staff were very helpful and courteous, the room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub--a nice break from a long day of travel!

Friendly front desk staff and check in/out was quick and without issues. We had a last minute change to the room due to being too close to the ice machine but there were no problems encountered and the front desk was very obliging.

Fishing Trip

Great front desk! Our fishing trip was cut short due to an engine malfunction. Our reservations were quickly and professionally handled, making our disappointment at having to cancel our trip bearable. Good work....well done!

The hotel and its staff were a little above average, I would say. The location was fine if you have a car, but not really an easy walk to too many places. My beef was that I could not get internet access even after several attempts and assistance from the staff. This was a major irritation, as I was working.

We loved the bed. It was one of the best beds we have ever slept in at a hotel. The room was small but comfortable. The hotel is getting old but well looked after.

I have stayed at this hotel before and always enjoy my stay there. The only comment I would like to make is I found a long black hair in one of the face cloths and another long black hair stuck on the light switch. Also the bathroom doors could use more cleaning

The room was large and nice. Every thing worked well and was clean. Wall and door to nighbor room and corridor is (too) thin. So it's some times a bit noise. I had terrible noisy nighbors and so was it too lought till late in the night. I don't think it's normal and staff excused when I checked-out. I can recommand kitchen and service from the restaurant.

Clean, pleasant hotel off Port Alberni highway. Best hotel on that particular strip of highway. Not overly fancy, the hotel is clean and straightforward. Wonderfully soft beds. It's not a high end corporate hotel, but it will do for an overnight or a weekend away. A little overpriced, however.

Very basic but comfortable lodging.

We stayed one night for a sporting event in Port Alberni, and it was a clean, comfortable, basic hotel. The walls are quite thin, so we did hear doors closing, coughing, etc. Overall, though, it was good value (ie. inexpensive!).

Nice Hotel

Was a nice stay with a salt water pool which turned out to be an indoor / outdoor type but both the pool and hot tub were warm enough during outdoor 6 degree temp. The beds were also quite comfy and the room also has a mini fridge and microwave.

The kids had fun in the pool! We had a small team of gymnasts who enjoyed the one night we were there. Nice and quiet after they went to bed...The restaurant was pleasant too.

This hotel was a great find on our return from The Pacific Rim National Park. Very clean, updated rooms HD tv and air conditioning and a fridge and microwave for our food. The Inn was clean and neat and the staff most helpful. The rooms are getting a bit tired. Our air conditioner was loud and not working well. Port Alberni is very central to some great site seeing. Great Experience

We recently spent the night on the way to Tofino during the holiday weekend. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. As an added bonus they put our family close to the pool which was perfect for kids.

Dog friendly, non discriminatory to dogs over 25 lbs

We were in Pt. Albernie,for a provincial hockey tournament this Past March, a spectacular place to visit. Our team stayed in another hotel that only allowed dogs under 25 lbs. Loved the location, rooms are nice and clean. Polly's Pub is a fun place to go on a Friday night, good pub food. Like the saltwater pool. The only negative is with the restaurant, not able to handle medium sized groups of people, don't do the buffet. Otherwise we enjoy going back every year.
