Great little find
August 18, 2014We were bringing our son to camp from Niagara ares to near Peterborough and wanted to give him a good lunch before we dropped him off. We had the jerk chicken wrap and spicy pulled pork sandwich. They we're both delicious...the fries were fresh cut and made to order. The ice cream was delicious and the Owner was friendly... Flavourful comfort food

Quaint simple decor with fabulous food.
Jerk pork, portobello mushroom sandwich, home cut fries. All was delicious but the best part was the owner introducing herself and hearing her story. Very pleasant experience, worth the drive to Orono.

Fire Hall Bistro - Excellent
July 07, 2014A small group of friends and I went to the Fire Hall Bistro on July 5th for dinner. It is run/owned by a lady who does all the cooking on her own. She had one staff member who served as the waitress / cashier. There were multiple people coming in for Kawartha Ice Cream during our sit down dinner! :)... more

love to shop small
June 18, 2014Great place, I learned is fairly new to the area. Even though I'm from the US and was traveling through Canada, I believe in supporting small businesses. This is what initially brought me to try this spot. The food is very good, and the owner is very nice. I wish this business much success! Great place to stop when traveling... more

A work in progress but well worth the drive from Oshawa
January 24, 2014This is a relatively new restaurant that is still evolving but showing great promise and a welcoming atmosphere. Somewhat eclectic it is a friendly and family oriented restaurant that has a truely homey feel. The food is excellent and freshly prepared with care. Wonderful Food in a Beautiful Village

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner in the Fire Hall Bistro. We thoroughly enjoyed the 'Jerk Chicken' which was beautifully presented with an assortment of hot sauces. The owner and staff are friendly and the service was excellent. This will be one of our restaurants of choice for an evening out.

Pleasant and quiet

Interesting new restaurant in town - stopped in for the pulled pork & fries lunch special to go. My order took approximately 10 minutes to arrive which indicates that it was made to order, everything wasn't sitting in a warmer.
Everything arrived neatly packaged and bagged for me, ready to head out the door which was appreciated.

Great start
August 10, 2013I'd heard a new restaurant had recently opened in Orono, so went for breakfast to check it out. It's a cosy place on Main Street with friendly family staff.
