Rated the number one lounge in the city, the "Lounge at The Fairmont" continues its well established reputation of serving Winnipeg's premier cocktails. Our new beverage list includes classic favorites along with innovative new cocktails
I stayed at this hotel while on business and it was a good choice being in the centre of downtown. It connects to the underground path system which is good for those cold Winnipeg winters. Rooms were clean, service is good. I'd stay there again.

Four stars for the Fairmont Winnipeg!
Let's start with the staff; they were so nice! That whole friendly Manitoba thing? Not a joke here, folks. The doormen were always friendly and eager to help me out, the front desk staff were quite friendly, and when my room key didn't grant me access on the second day of my stay, they fixed the issue quickly and apologetically. The bartender in the lounge...

The cheap bastards wanted $13.95/day for internet. I took my laptop
to MacDonald's who know how to treat a customer.
The staff, the room and the lounge bar
\n\n
Internet service is too expensive should be free if you want to be
modern (a few dollars higher price), in the pool a pile of towels from
hours without checking, tiles in the steambad look very dirty
|I like the room, the execellent coffee and mini bar and like the remodeled shower with no bath tub a great move forward, since i never use the bath tub and much better to take a shower
The renovated rooms are very nice and the staff are always helpful and friendly.
The room was well appointed and appeared recently renovated. Housekeeping was very good. The staff was pleasant & professional with the room service staff deserving particular thanks for great service.
I booked 2 rooms with 2 double beds in each room but when I arrived each room only had one bed. This makes for a pretty awkward experience for 4 grown men. I will never book there again or recommend anyone to. Book therer unless the booking system is changed.

Everything closes down on the weekend (underground)
the bed was so comfy, i didn't want to get out of bed

the banquet room was very cold and the meal was some what lacking in seasoning

Always a great stay at the Fairnont in Winnipeg. Never have had a problem with any staff and they always are willing to bend over backwards to make your stay perfect.
The menus are a bit pricey but the food has always been INCREDIBLE!! The breakfast is always worth it and some of the best food I've had.
While the pool on the top is a bit small, the jacuzzi is always nice, steam room is...

Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Rooms were a moderate size. And the fact that there was a fridge in the room without an extra charge was amazing. Great stay.
\n\n
The hot tub and pool were extremely small and plain. I expected something more "fancy" being at the fairmont.
The restaurant was very expensive for a poor meal. $49.00 steak that
tasted like cafeteria food. Very unimpressed. I will not recommend the
hotel knowing that the referred people may eat there
Keurig coffee
proximity to venues
\n\n
the room was cold, I prefer the Delta which has heated floors in the bathroom
parking was confusing
I liked the courteous staff and the lounge.
\n\n
I didn't like the low water pressure in the shower. I felt the room was too small for the amount of money I paid. I did not like how the Fairmont does not have spa services. Also, I paid for valet parking and services and when I requested my vehicle it was very cold and not warmed up.
I didn't like the fact that they charged me tax on 2 separate nights rather than tax me on the final cost, ex. room fee 208/night + tax for the first night and then 208+tax for the second... why not charge me both nights and all amenities and tax it all at the end... I ended up paying an extra 50$ because they taxed me twice.... that will probably hurt my chances of staying at the fairmont again.
Very friendly front desk
\n\n
Rooms are in for a major update : carpet used and dusty, airco very
noisy and outdated
The staff was very accommodating, very professional and they made me feel like I was a very special person.
There was no outstanding reason to 'like' this hotel.
\n\n
Disappointed that they did not offer 'free' internet. Had to go down to the nearest Tim Horton's for wifi... as I did not think 15.00 per night for Internet was reasonable.
Its winnipeg, and this place is clean, walking distance to bars, and places to eat, its clean, comfortable, and easy, and priced well. Staff is friendly and will work with you for weird/ early check in or late check out times...on a side note...why are you in Winnipeg?
The location is central and that is a big plus.
\n\n
I arrived at 5;35am at the hotel. No one could bother to give me info on where computer room was located or the restaurants at the Hotel. Most hotels give that info on checking in. Room was not cleaned til 5pm. That is totally unacceptable.
Also on checking out, I was billed for local phone charges, whereas I was not supposed to, as I am a...

This hotel gets three stars for the location, not for the actual facility or customer service.
The Fairmont Winnipeg isn't quite as high-end or special as other Fairmonts I've stayed at, although I understand they are mid-way through renovations which will hopefully make it feel like more of a luxury hotel. But for the important stuff: The rooms are immaculately clean, the beds and linens are...

The Fairmont Winnipeg is as comfortable and well appointed as you would expect any hotel in the Fairmont chain to be. The lobby, though small, has comfortable couches and a marble floor for a sophisticated feel. The doormen are excellent, always attentive and able to assist. We had a question about which nearby restaurants were open on a Sunday evening and the front desk had a large line; the... more
The Fairmont Winnipeg was a fantastic hotel to stay at on our mini hockey vacay. It wasn't too far from the airport which made our taxi ride only $20 (including tip). The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Even though we arrived well before check in they had a room available for us. The room was very clean, and the bed was beyond comfortable. In terms of getting to the MTS centre to... more
Love this hotel!! It might even be the most exiting place in all of winnipeg!! The rooms are great! Comfortable beds with clean linens and exellent pool located on the top floor, a steam room! ( my favorite feature ) also they have reception/conference facilities complete with fresh water and great basic catering!I really like the staff here to, very helpful and personable! I have been to a lot... more
When I checked in on Tuesday about 5:30pm, it had been a tiring day traveling ... delayed flight and brutal traffic coming from the airport. I just wanted to get in my room and relax.
I was told that my room wasn't ready. Not ready at 5:30pm??!! Huh?? I could either wait 'til 6pm or I could take a smoking room. Neither option was acceptable. So she found a room that was ready but then spent 20...

I love the Winnipeg Fairmont. I have visited a few times and have always found it to be nice rooms, clean atmosphere and great service.
I am not sure what the going rate of the rooms are, given that I often stay as part of a conference (where they offer a discount), so I can't really speak for the value as much as the quality of the hotel itself.
I like the decor of the place and the...

To say that my stay at this hotel was unsatisfactory is an understatement. I am a frequent traveler (Marriott Platinum Elite, Hilton Diamond, United 1K, Delta Elite Medallion...) that was looking forward to my stay at the Fairmont. The room was unkept, dirty and badly outdated. I asked to be relocated to another room and was quickly told it was not possible. I submitted pictures of the room to... more
I love the fact that my BF asked for an upgrade, and got us a king-sized bed. That was fabulous.
I love the fact that we were able to keep the cheese and fruit tray intended for another guest and incorrectly delivered to our room.
I love the fact that there were a billion (okay, like 6) pillows and a big ole flat screen TV.
I didn't love the fact that there were water marks on our ceiling,...

I stayed here during a conference and overall the experience was quite nice.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the lovely ladies in banqueting were especially helpful to accommodate my request for a glass of water or a cup of oatmeal and steered me in the right direction for vegetarian items in the buffets.
Our room was always very clean, housekeeping did a great job and the nightly...

I was here about 2 years ago, staying for 2 weeks on a work trip. The only reason I picked the Fairmont was the ability to use my upgrade vouchers (it's definitely not my first place pick), but unfortunately I couldn't.
I got in from the Parking, and on a dark night it's quite a tough find (not at the main entrance, but around the back somewhere). It seems like they share it with the office...

So I am giving this place 2 stars because its a Fairmont and I expect more! Any other hotel and it would be 3 stars.
Location: close to downtown and the orchastra. The hotel is also accessible from an underground network of malls. It doesnt look very welcoming from there but it gets a bit better once you get to the lobby. Note that the place is not located 'in the middle' of downtown or 'very...

This was the second time staying with the Fairmont. Bot imes I tink the food was substandard encluding the 19th floor food available.
Clean and well appointed and you can sign up for presidents club for free so a solid deal and right downtown.
Visited on a quick business trip of 2 days. Mmost things in winnipeg shut down very early, so if you arrive late be prepared to manage most things on your own. Only the check in counter has staff. the overall hotel is nice, it has good food, very comfortable beds, spacious room. It said business ready room, I felt it like a regular room. The furniture and carpets, and bathroom configuration all... more
Hotel was nice and clean, nice staff and very quiet. Elevators are vey fast, limited restaurant choice but 1st rate food. Only bad thing were small tv's in the rooms
Hotel is ideally located downtown, and has very friendly staff. The biggest drawbacks were stale smelling hallways and dirty rooms. Our room had multiple large stains on the carpet and the bathroom mirrors were filthy (even after trying to wipe them off).
The Fairmont is in an excellent downtown location. The service is impeccable...very attentive, especially compaired to many US hotels. Our lower floor room needed new carpeting and perhaps a bathroom floor update, but the small touches the room provided more than made up for it. Beware of the parking charges! We loved our stay.
This hotel was well located downtown; proximal to major businesses, the underground walkway, and shops. The building was nice and the staff was very friendly. The gym and pool areas was old and uninspiring. We stayed on the Gold level and found the rooms dated, even for a Fairmont.
we enjoyed our stay at Fairmont
Note: my initial impression did not take into consideration the efforts of the front desk staff that went above and beyond what I regard as great service. One lady in particular at the front desk was sweet enough to remember my mentioning that I was looking for the hospital that I was born in, and she looked it up, printed a map, and left a message to my room. She also wanted to check in on... more
This is a Fairmont hotel that has seen better days. Rooms need renovation and updating. Food was good but prices very high. Service was very good however.
“Great location, outstanding staff, excellent breakfast. Made our stay in Winnipeg much better than it may have otherwise been.”
The hotel was very clean and very, very nice. I rate the staff as superior in their helpfulness. I would have liked a coffee shop in the hotel. The underground area had many coffee shop type restaurants but none were open on the weekend. The room was not large but it was very comfortable. The Forks and the Manitoba Museum were close.
Clean, Frenidly, great location, overall it was a great stay would defintly stay with them again.
