Great weekend getaway

Booked a few days at the Drake as a surprise to my partner for our anniversary. The hotel staff upgraded our room from a Crash Pad to a larger Salon room on the 2nd floor and gave us 2 mini bottles of champagne, which was considerate and appreciated. We loved out stay at the Drake. The room was large and super comfortable. We had comped champagne upon arrival.
I am still hoping to eat in their restaurant someday. I've been here twice now and both times the restaurant has been booked for a private event.

We stayed at this terrific hotel last August. From the time we checked in we were impressed with the staff. Best Place to stay in Toronto

This hotel is amazing. The room we stayed in was perfect. The design was clever and classy, and the soaps and moisturizers were divine. I especially enjoyed the caramel popcorn!!! Jonathan was wonderful to deal with. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

It's on Queen Street West which is packed with independent shops and restaurants, and generally fantastic shopping, including the hotel's own shop which has great gifts and where hotel guests get a small discount. Hotel staff was so accommodating, Friendly, helpful

We were a group of 7 that ended up going to the place for Sunday brunch. I liked the ambience and the decor. However, it was annoying to have so many wasps and bees around, sitting on the food. That was definitely a bummer. Also, the server messed up my order with someone else inspite of the fact that I clarified my order when he was placing the plates on the table.

Unique hotel a little out of city centre

Great hotel, very individual and unique. High quality finish and service throughout. Lovely food. Perfect breakfast. It is a 2 to 3 mile walk into the city centre, we loved this, others wouldn't.

First of all this place is just cool – funky art adorns the walls and vintage-looking furniture give the whole place a homey feel. I came here for cocktail hour and was impressed with the house drinks (the fresh ingredients shine even in the dead of winter) and signature sushi. Cool Hipster Hotel

Alot of Character but room was incredibly small. Alot of nice touches that amused me - felt very hip staying there!

The Drake is always a lot of fun, but in my most recent visit I was most impressed with my experience with the Director of Operations. I had a question about my bill and his responses were prompt, friendly and at no point made me feel like I was asking for anything unusual which I appreciated. If all Drake staff are like Matthew, you will be in great hands.

The lounge is perfect for cocktails and gourmet snacks! At happy hour the cocktails AND the sushi are discounted. I'll definitely be back.

Happening hotel in West Queen West

Very lively hotel in the trendy West Queen St area - nice rooms, great bars and lively during the week and on the weekends. We had an amazing experience at The Drake from planning to day of. I can't stop bragging about how wonderful our experience was. So many of our guests have commented that we had "The coolest wedding they've ever been to" also. Food was great. Loved the patio for breakfast and the sky bar in the evening .always seemed to be a lot of people around. Staff were very friendly. The only downside was the bathroom in the hotel room being openly visible.

This place will rock your world! Hotel - fantastic, Food - excellent, but the decor and service are the best you can get.

I had a few extra requests from the staff and ordered a couple of upgrades. The staff were completely in on the extra requests, and the upgrades were completely worth it. This is a must experience for anybody who it looking for a true experience, and not just another hotel.

We loved the in-room lotions, shampoos and conditioners. We didn't use any of the following, but we loved the pleasure menu (haha!) and the stuffed animals, alcohol, food stuffs, etc offered. When I arrived I was greeted with large smiles. This hotel is one of the best hotels i've stayed in a while. The rooms were very modern and cofortable. I will definetly be returning.

Drake Toronto-close to things but weird

While the staff and location were great, I found the hotel dark, gloomy and strange. I am from a rural area and didnt like it at all. Parking was terrible, but thats Toronto.

This small hotel is a cool, fun place to stay in the Queen Street West area. My room (a "crashpad") was small, but very clean and quiet. The mattress was on the firm side, which might work for most people, but I prefer a softer bed, so I had a stiff back every morning. Also, there is no elevator. Hip without attitude

Great place in a funky neighborhood

West Queen is a great neighborhood, a bit funky, but great for music, food and art galleries. A great area to explore on foot. The Drake is a converted older building that is very comfortable. A fantastic roof deck bar, and a nice corner cafe. The staff was very friendly and helful. I would definitely go back.

Nice trendy hotel

This is a small hotel. Trendy, modern, not a family hotel, not ideal for business visits, but nice. It has a great bar. On one day I ran into a complementary breakfast buffet, on other days I guess I was up too early or there was none. I used public transport to city center. Stops right in front of the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Drake. The service and friendliness of the hotel was excellent. This is a great getaway for the "happening" crowd. The Drake is home to the hip latenight crowd, and if you're staying at the hotel, you have a free pass in. The one drawback is you have to fight through the late night line to get back to your room at night. Yes, your room key will get you by, but it's a little bit of a hassle. I live in Toruonto and decided to treat myself to a nite at the Druake for my birthday, it was a tasty treat. The Loundge was great on Saturday nite. If friends arue meeting you make sure they arrive early to avoid being turned away at the door.
