This grand old institution is now contemporary, with tapestry banquettes and a brown, beige, and cream color scheme. It's still pretty sumptuous, with wing chairs, starched linens, an impeccable staff, and a menu that relies on classic French cuisine, like rack of lamb and fillet of veal. The bar serves the best martini in the city.

Food is always very fresh and of high quality.
We know the waiters for three years as we have been coming for my birthday since 2011.
Foie gras is must-try item among the entrées.
I would strongly recommend the pan-seared foie gras dish and the steak.
Every time we've visited Montreal we have eaten at the beautiful Beaver Club Restaurant.
I feel fortunate enough to have been able to share this beautiful and historic spot with my young daughter last year and when rebooking for this November I was surprised and saddened that the club will only be open to private events going forward.

There are special restaurants that you return to and are never disappointed, and the Beaver Club in the Queen Elizabeth Hotel is one of them. The decor is elegant, the service impecable and the food superb. Yes, it is pricy, but worth every penny.
Extremely disappointed. We went there many times with our young daughters after their exams or when the occasion permitted. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. We were welcomed as friends and always felt at home in the comfortable atmosphere created by the wonderful people who worked there. They made the place what it was. Great pity. I hope someone changes his... plus
It is with great sadness to learn yesterday that this Fantastic best kept secret restaurant is closed. I would bring client, family and friends when ever possible. Celebrated all my special events at the restaurant. Serge Leblanc and his team were the best of the best and the Montrealais is just a shadow. I fully understand how business decisions are... plus
Sadly this once great restaurant and one of the oldest club in north America dating back to 1785 closed it's doors forever yesterday. I will always remember the wonderful times we spent in this first rate Canadian restaurant. I would blame Quebec's economic decline, the gloomy political outlook and expense account cut backs in business and government for the closing.
This was our second meal here -11 years in between. The service is still excellent, the food beautifully prepared, and whatever you order, the chef always sends out little additional items. Last time we did the 5 course menu. The three course is more manageable. The accompanying wines seemed more ordinary on the 3 course. Hard to tell if this... plus
A group of co-workers in New Orleans on the first night of 8 needed a quick bite. We found this great place on the web (MDW found it for me). Different types of Pizza for multiple tastes and managable portions for everybody to have alone or even share. the Meat and Cheesee sampler board was fantastic. You can order 3,5 7 items to accent your main or complement it.We had a 5, including the soft... plus
In a city with amazing restaurants I could still eat eat here every day.
had a great dinner! ordered the affettati misti (chef's selection of assorted salumi, imported cheeses, marinated olives & roasted vegetables) as an app. did not care for everything on the platter but that is simply a matter of taste. the presentation was beautiful. ordered the bolzano and white pizzas for dinner. the bolzano crust was a bit burned in areas but still good. the white pizza was... plus
Very nice. Love the meat and cheese plate, stratshi (sp), pizza and wine.
I've been a couple of times and once was with a large group where we ordered family style and shared the majority of the items on the menu. Everything was delicious! The seasonal appetizers - friend squash blossoms and fried kale - were out of this world and the ever present roasted cauliflower was incredible. My two favorites from the main menu were the squid ink pasta and the carrot pizza -... plus
John Besh gives so much back; loved the fab treats; great little gift. Thank you for our delicious pizza in NOLA. We traveled from Fort Polk in terrible traffic, missed our seating; and still had an opportunity to enjoy ourselves. Can't wait to visit our next Besh establishment. God bless and happy holidays! Thanks again,
Had a great time! The wait staff was helpful, prompt and friendly and the pizzas were excellent. I hope to go back soon to try the other menu items. I've had the roasted cauliflower for an appetizer, which is excellent but haven't tried the other menu items because the pizza is so good that I order it every time I go. The Hotel was decorated for Christmas and was breathtaking. The ambiance of... plus
This place has a really high-end menu with lots of items that I'd never dream of attempting to cook at home. The wine list is impressive and they don't appear to be marking up the wine prices too much. The restaurant is embedded into the Roosevelt Hotel, which has a spectacularly breathtaking, but gaudy, lobby from the 1920s. The menu is mostly Italian, but with some Sephardi Jewish/Israeli... plus
Saturday lunch before a show at the Saenger - Luke was the perfect choice on a cool, blustery day. The minestrone soup was totally unexpected (and delicious!) with fresh favors of watermelon radish and dill. Probably good for pizza, but we ordered from a special Thanksgiving/Hanukkah menu. Really the food was good but the place felt cold. This is a problem with many hotel restaurants. You always know when you are in one. The Roosevelt Hotel has a very impressive lobby, and the Sazerac Bar there is classic. Not so with Domenica though.
Octopus salad was awesome. All else good too!!
The service was very good. I recommend making reservations. We requested an off the menu item (white anchovies in olive oil) and the chief was very accommodating. We also ordered the octopus carpaccio and hedgehog mushrooms for our appetizers, all were excellent. For our entrees we ordered the Squid Ink Tagliolini, Stacci and the Bolzano pizza; all very good. Found myself in New Orleans over Thanksgiving without a plan so I went to Dominica and sat at the bar. Couldn't have had a better solo Thanksgiving lunch! Very friendly, good sweet bartender. It was a nice alternative to a big dinner with a bunch of people, overdosing on gravy and... plus
Domenica is always a fun place to go but the half off happy hour prices are fantastic. I love the holidays at the Roosevelt and it was the perfect day to walk through the lobby and grab a late lunch. Everything was wonderful: wine, pizza, cauliflower, and afatati misti. Chef Alon was out in the main dining area and stopped by to say hello.
Domenica is a very lively place to meet up for after work drinks or an informal meal. In our small group we had the Quattro Formaggio pizza and the Wood Fired eggplant. The pizza was good, not earthshaking but very good and properly cooked. The wood fired eggplant was a total surprise. It was one of the simplest and most delicious dishes I have had in a very long time. I would go back just for... plus
Went in for Thanksgiving dinner and had the 4 course prix fix. I made reservations about a week in advance and had been looking forwards to my first Thanksgiving in a restaurant. Was not disappointed. Great service, fun atmosphere, outstanding dinner!
We were expecting a simple regular Italian but it turned to be a wonderful experience. The food was exquisite. We had the plate of cheese and salamis for starters, they were served with many different types of delicious bread. The pasta were cooked perfectly and the desserts were delicious. At the end, we were given a little thank you box with delicious chocolate cookies.
We will be back for sure!
Great food great service and great location. Best at Christmas time to walk around the hotel lobby
Great food, excellent service, moderately priced, within walking distance of Saenger Theater, Joy Theater, French Quarter. Located in one of the most beautiful hotels in New Orleans. It has it ALL! If I didn't live 90 minutes away, I would go much more often.
Pizza was the only thing we didn't try and I'm sorry. We love John Besh and am amazed that the food was so poor. We each had something different (4 of us) and no one had something we liked. Waiter was very busy so he was rushed and difficult to find. Just thought he had too many tables.
This is the restaurant that my wife and I went to on our honeymoon weekend. We just made one year and went there fir dinner. It was a great experience both times. Cant wait to go back.
Excellent pizzas. The Cauliflower dish is out of this world
Overpriced, noisy, overrated. Doesn't really fit in the Roosevelt hotel.
The service and food are excellent and on point. I have dined here several times for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed the experience every time. Would definitely go back for lunch. Love love love the roasted cauliflower and goat/feta dip. My FAV on the menu.
efficient, friendly, attentive service from Will; a very professional and personable waiter.
Wonderful experience! Recommend roasted cauliflower appetizer. We had tickets to the Saenger and the staff did a great job of communicating excellent food choices and efficiently taking care of us and sending us on our way in time to see the show. We will be back.
Our waiter really knew the menu and dish ingredients. His recommendations were spot on. I like pizza with a thinner, crispier crust, but the flavor of our pie was outstanding. We also had a delicious redfish plate and 2 members of our group completely enjoyed the lasagna bolognese. The semifreddo dessert was a real treat.
Domenica never disappoints. The atmosphere is fun and you cannot beat the Happy Hour specials. The pizzas are the best in the city and the drinks are creative.
Went pre Saints game, having been many many times before. This time, though, wasn't with a man and had a child with me. Sadly, my waiter obviously thought that meant I should get no attention at all. He literally didn't even bring us plates, or sweetener for our coffee. Such bad service, and tables right next to us were treated well. It was an awful experience and very embarrassing for me as I... plus
Not only was the food great, but the restaurant environment and the waitress added to the overall wonderful experience at Domenica. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to enjoy great food! When you visit Domenica, please try the roasted cauliflower with feta goat cheese. You will be delighted with the great taste of this appetizer.
Chef takes traditional foods and makes them eclectic masterpieces. Food was A+ from gator to pork to reddish to dessert
Not your run of the mill Italian. Pizza was excellent , out of the world crust. Pasta perfectly cooked. Fish melted in your mouth. Octopus appetizer was sublime. Went for dinner, and two days later came back for lunch and loved it as much
Had lunch there. Food was very nice and different, not the "usual Italian" (whatever that means, considering how heterogenous true Italian really is!) -- exotic and eclectic, that is. Very interesting the roasted cawliflower as as appetizer, loved the rabbit and porcini pasta and the "black tagliolini" with squid ink and crab meat. Unlike most reports of it being noisy, at lunch it was rather... plus
Food was very good. I wish I could have sampled more of the pizzas in a group.
The top pizza in the CBD. The appetizers are wonderful. Everything first rate. Hope they have a Hanukkah meal this year.
Great for dinner prior to going to a concert or event, since it is near a major theater. The restaurant has a variety of food choices; some are unusual but very tasty. The service was excellent, and we were able to leave on time to attend a concert nearby.
Came @ 5:15 on Mon & took advantage of weekday specials. Great service & enjoyed 1/2 price margherita pizza very much-only $3.25 ea for 1/2 a pizza-what a deal! Banana dessert was delicious & I'm not even a big banana fan! Didn't care for peach bellini due to strong bitter flavor but my friend enjoyed 2 pomegranate bellinis at 1/2 price. Server was good enough to ask if we wanted a 2nd pizza... plus
My husband and I split a pizza. He had the lamb meatballs on his and I had the mushroom with yard egg. Both of us loved it. I had been reading the reviews and knew service here was an issue with several patrons. I must say they were right, our waiter, Will was only adequate -- did what he had to and nothing extra and was very unfriendly.
Had a great time at Domeica's. Went for the happy hour with one-half off pizzas and drinks. Enjoyed three different pizzas all done to perfection - Carne Tutti (sp?), spicy pork and wild mushrooms. Also tried two of the specially offered appetizers - pork belly excellent and red fish collars - very good and different. Wines by the glass were also very good. Without a doubt, the best Besh stop. Squid Ink pasta is fantastic. Chanterelle appetizer is to die for.
Loved the surprising, imaginative combinations offered. Everything we ate was scrumptious. Only wish we lived there to be able to try all items on the menu. Squid ink pasta with seafood was excellent. Their fried kale was the best and crispiest we have ever found anywhere.Server was excellent. Professional, warm, and attentive. Nice to have great wine by the glass at half price during happy hour.
Food was both amazing and plentiful, and happy hour specials made the meal downright cheap. The service was very slow, but this may have been a fluke--other tables that sat down after us had their food served before we got ours. I would normally be more annoyed by that sort of thing, but the quality of everything really outweighed that negative. We'll definitely be back, and are making this our... plus
Since I discovered that Domenica has half price pizza and cocktails between 3 and 6pm every day, I have visited weekly. The pizzas are inventive, gourmet creations. Great wine options. Definitely above expectation.
Menu full of unusual (for a Californian) items, such as fried okra and stewed rabbit. Great atmosphere, though
very noisy. We sat at a window table with in view of a 19th century cathedral. A carful of brass instrument musicians

Very good and unique Italian food. My son loved the baked goat. The menu choices are limited and the wine list is mostly Italian (I prefer California wines.) The food is really tasty.
The food was excellent. The waitress missed a few things in our order and looked like a novice; but overall she was friendly and looked like she was trying hard. What a waste of a good dining opportunity. Service was absolutely horrible on a Saturday night. Seemed to have 1 waiter that ran between the bar and food service. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Beaver Club this past weekend thanks to the lovely ambiance, service that was personal and genuine as well as the food. This is a beautiful restaurant that exudes old style graciousness and charm. The service is as good as it gets and the food was very good. It is good with elements of fabulous but falls short on a few fronts. I glad I tried it but will not come back. Perhaps using Alberta beef would correct the overly tough and tasteless cut of beef! This place carries the style and class of a grand restaurant experience. Fab food, great service. Very pricey but worth a visit at least once in a life time. Many a deal has been brokered here over a business lunch. Could be a scene from a modern era MadMen show.

We had not been back to the Beaver Club in many years and while in Montreal and staying at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, we decided to go. I took my girlfriend here as a birthday treat, but we left less than impressed. Our meal was certainly above average, but no dish stood out as particularly memorable. So if you are thinking about dinner in Montreal, seriously consider the Beaver Club. I know, it looks like your Dad's idea of a great night out, and you can order Ike that too. First, a disclaimer. I haven't dined at Le Beaver Club in many years. I had heard that the grandeur and glory which was Le Beaver Club had been dismantled in the '80's, but restored in recent years. The Beaver Club takes you back to a time when people dined for leisure and pleasure more often. The tasting menu is a must, along with personal recommendations from the Sommelier. Prepare to indulge and enjoy!
The value, quality and presentation of the food was impeccable but the service was what really "wowed". Perfect for birthdays and special events, the staff cater to your every need and have an acute attention to detail. The foie gras and flamb?ed steak were particularly tasteful. An all around outstanding meal.
We always have great experiences here: the service is very good, but the food is even better.
A grande-dame of downtown Montreal restaurants located in Le Reine Elizabeth Hotel, this fine, classy, old style French restaurant still serves up one of the best and refined meals in town.
This is a pub right next to a seaplane base. The view is good but the food is just pub food. Like to watch floatplanes come and go this is the place.
This former institution on the Montreal dining scene has gone way downhill. The service was the worst we have experienced in a long time.
Overhyped restaurant with stuffy service. Food is just OK.
Feel like a railroad baron in this elegant dining room in the stately Queen Elizabeth hotel. The coffee press alone is worth the price.
I liked the old Beaver Club better. The food is still terrific but the decor is very sterile. The old decor was definitely unique - and a better match for the name, but some might not have liked all of the dead animal heads on the wall!
for great celebrations, indoor parking is fantastic in winter - not a modern place but a grand and solid ambience. Wonderful martinis!
Hear that this was a great bar. It was. Heard that it had great food. It didn't. I got the idea that the Canadians were excited to be able to say things like, "I'm going to have a little beaver tonight." Cute. Also overwhelmingly gay. Which is OK.
A valued Montreal tradition and still a warm and welcoming spot for an afternoon martini.
Quite tony with a fab brunch but overpriced hotel food .. the style puts you back to the 1970s so a good place for the nostalgic
Wonderful old time place in a wonderful venue. The game is superb.
A little pricy for what you get, but it is the exception to my belief that hotel food is never superior to other resturants
Very hotel restaurant but 'chic'. Hotel is beautifully appointed
Some of the best food in Montreal and the kind of high class experience you would expect from a great restaurant. Could definitely use a facelift.
