Been here twice for lunch. Love the food. But you really need the time to sit and enjoy. Not a quick meal kind of place. Would absolutely recommend if you enjoy this kind of food. Will be going back when I have more time to sit and enjoy. Presentation is wonderful. They take pride in what is being served.

Exceptional sushi and Asian Food

You order by #on your own order sheet and as many times as you want, just give order to waiter and food arrives quickly, fresh and hot or cold as in case of sushi. Have visited several times and enjoy.

Very good food, not always what you ordered

I went with a couple friends to this establishment last month. The food was fantastic, but some of our food was given to another table and we had to wait quite awhile for some dishes as opposed to others. Overall great staff and food though.

Sushi Star is awful. Worst sushi I have ever tasted. Service was horrible and the staff was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. There are so many better places for sushi in Hamilton. Go to Sapporo or August 8 instead.

When then finish renovation, the place looks great, the service looks great, the food taste great. Now the food is average, service is passable. The grilled meat is over cooked causing it to be dried. The sushi is now stuff with extra serving of rice to fill you up. Overall, the owner took this restaurant down the wrong ally. Sushi star is my new favorite sushi place, especially since the renovations of a nearby Sopporo turned that place into a can of sardines. Sushi Star has a great selection of Japanese and Chinese dishes, the service is pretty good and the place is large so you don't feel squished.

what a difference a year can make. They use to be a few doors down in a hole in the wall, now their in a much bigger spot and the design inside is just gorgeous, sooooo nice.

Great fresh plentiful sushi. Huge selection and variety. Service is adequate, and they no longer seem to bring you other peoples orders. Once you get their attention (which isn't too hard) they'll happily keep the sushi coming your way until you can't eat another bite.
