Birthday at Surfside Inn

We were so pleasantly surprised how nice and accommodating the whole place is. Very clean and beautiful beachfront,pool area and a rooftop cabana. Very nice staff and the cleanliness of the rooms was terrific.
I mistakenly left my bathing suit on the back of the bathroom door hook and I called and the hotel and they offered to mail it...

August 31, 2013We were stuck and unprepared to stay the night. So when we arrived we were estatic to find a motel so close to the falls and attractions The owner is great! He was really nice and accommodating. The room itself was very dirty. For the price we were expecting it. It is a shame though because what a great location.... more

Location of Hotel Great - Service extremely Bad
June 30, 2013While the location of the Hotel was great and access was not an issue. The Service and lack of amenities were a cause that I doubt we will be staying there again. No maid/room cleaning service between the two nights, no extra towels, or clean sheets available. AC worked only intermittently and no working TV. Glad I brought a Laptop and a few DVD's to watch.

October 02, 2012I have known this motel from its origin, I have never seen so much deteriation and lack of maintainance, I paId for a first class room and was not satisfied, it needs a modernization. We had to put the heater in the bathroom on as the one in the room did not work properly.Nothing

Nice hotel to stay
September 18, 2012Very good value for money. Nice room without hassles. It also has Wi-Fi in case you need internet. Owner is very helpful and accommodating. It is a quiet place away from all noise near the falls but within 5 minutes drive from the falls. It is also very close to Wonderland. You cannot ask for more.

Depends on your expectations
September 02, 2012Well if you are just looking for a cheap place to stay and want a nice friendly person to check you in then no complaints. However if cleanliness and appearance is an issue drive right past. Mold on the walls, wallpaper filthy dirty, dirt everywhere. Probably the worst room I have ever slept in but wasn't expecting much.

Clean it up
July 04, 2012Would have been nice if someone at sometime bothered to dust or wipe off fingerprints from the mirrors. What a dump! Goes to show you get what you pay for. A shame, too, because at onetime the Surfside was the chaming best kept secret in Niagara Falls.

Family reunion
June 25, 2012We had a family reunion and found this place. Glad we did because it was a very nice place to stay. Not far from restaurants, stores, and Tim Hortons. You can walk almost any place. Woke up with bedbug bites

I had family arrive prior . The rooms were dirty. They were cleaned up to a minimum.
I woke up the first morning with my right side having over 20 bedbug bites.
Because I had paid for 2 nights -> changed rooms.

June 18, 2012This hotel is completely misrepresented by Hotels.com. The room was FILTHY and a request for cleaning was ignored. The room had no window to open, no hair dryer, no clock, no sofa bed, no tissues, and 1 roll of TP. That's a first in 30 years of travel! There is one iron on the property and no ironing board. I had stayed this motel last week and the location is excellent and imaculate and rates were amazing ,surrondings were natural and beautiful .This motel is walk away distance from Marineland and 5 minutes drive from main falls....and also shuttle services are avialble to visit falls.............

Excellent Inn for Holidays at Niagara Falls

We stayed at the " Surfside INN" on July 16, 2011 and we really had a great
time. It is on walking distance from Marine-land and close to all other
attractions and moreover very peaceful environment. Rooms are very clean,
comfortable, free continental breakfast, Very affordable rates I will recommend
this to my other friends.

Surfside Inn : not radical, not tubular but definately gnarly

First, I'd like to point out that the staff was friendly and willing to help but it didn't exactly compensate for the false advertising or rough state of the room. We searched on their website because it was affordable and seemed delightfully tacky and I'm sure it would have been 20 years ago.

October 10, 2007The rooms were filthy. The toilets overflowed - the water was rusty - couldn't take a shower and the sinks filled with water as you washed your hands. The blankets and bed spreads reaked with strong and hard - aweful - gagging - smell of body oder I've ever encountered. STAY AWAY!!

Very Disappointed !
August 24, 2007An older motel with outdated furnishings and not well maintained....but, I could have tolerated that if it had been clean, which it was not. There was hair on the bathroom floor, the sink was loose, towel bar torn off the wall, and on and on. I'll never make this mistake again!!!

We arrived before check-in time and since the room was already cleaned, they let us check in early. That was great!
