Nice hotel, close to home

It was a good place to relax, while we were moving to a new house. Too bad the QEW kept us awake.

Grimsby hotel

New hotel with amenities in good condition (mini-fridge in the room, pool, continental breakfast room, workout room)

Fantastic stay

No complaints. Clean, comfortable room in a great location.

First and last time for Expedia and Super 8.

I rate both companies as poor. The service was poor and the room would be rated as a $29 per night. No service in the morning as far as breakfast goes (no coffee)(no staff for assistant).

We stayed here last minute--and were generally satisfied with our stay. We had a room that faced the QEW, and the sound did bother us when we tried to sleep, but other than that, the room was nice and had a genuine suite (some advertised "suites" only have a short wall). The rooms were on the small side, but okay. Bathroom clean and updated. Pool is small but okay for an overnight stay.... more

It was a nice hotel for one night, breakfast sad.

Like I said the hotel was great and staff was friendly but what they offer for contentall breakfast sucked.

Summer Stay at Super 8

Hotel was located close to wedding venue (Liuna Gardens), the rooms were clean and the service was friendly.

The only thing I think you could improve on is serving a hot breakfast. It would be nice to see Canadian hotels follow the way of American hotels by serving a hot breakfast.

Uneventful Nights

The carpet in the room looked as though it should have been shampooed. When I turned on the shower, it screamed a very loud noise and it continued until the end of the shower. On the positive side, the water was hot and plentiful. What more can one expect for the money?

Nice basic hotel. I called the hotel and asked for adjoining rooms; clerk told me to write that in the comments for each room and she would watch for my booking to come through from hotels.com and book it that way. When we arrived at the hotel we were on separate floors! She was finally able to get us on the same floor but not adjoining. Clean and comfortable though, nice hot tub! :D

Close to place of business

My only suggestion is that the breakfast area could have been a little tidier. I entered thebreakfast room and a hotel employee was present. She left the room but failed to tidy up prior to her departure.

ok hotel close to grimsby. Hydro went out

Hydro was out at the time woke up to leave at 6 30 am. Breakfast was just ok. only muffins to choose from in the line of pastries. Other hotels certainly out beat this one for continental breakfasts. None of us had a shower or washed for the day which was extremely terrible.Sorry but we were from out of town and needed to look our very best for we were amongst a lot of people for the day trip... more

Great beds. Staff were pleasant. TV could do with an upgrade.

Paid 90.00 per night through expedia but upon arrival sign showed rooms were 69 night so over paid when paying 2 weeks in advance

The hotel it self was extremely clean, well maintained and comforting. It was a short drive to the winery we where going to and niagara falls. It would have been nice to be informed upon check in that there was a large group of hockey players staying there. They where running the halls at 10pm and playing hide and seek. Good Value for the Money

This location was convenient and about one third less than the inn across the road. It also included a fairly basic continental breakfast that hit the spot. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of free parking and close to lots of fast food restaurants.

Although we were happy with the facilities, we were very unhappy with the lack of sufficient empowered staff to deal with the many unsupervised children running the halls until 11 pm. Pleasantly surprised.

We were only spending one night and went for economy rather than luxury, but were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of our room and the hotel overall. The pool area was very nice.

Convenient to highway, very pleasant, indoor pool

I was just in Grimsby for one night, as I had tickets to the Dixie Chicks concert in Hamilton. The staff of this hotel was very pleasant and even changed American money for me so that I could use the vending machines. They helped me find a good restaurant nearby. The indoor pool, though small, is well kept up. On the whole, very pleasant!

Had a good stay. Clean and comfortable room. Not to impressed with breakfast. Had to keep asking for things that they ran out of. Coffee was good, that's the main thing!

If your from the UK, the Super 8 is comparable to a Travel Lodge. The hotel or motel is a good road stop whilst your on your travels

Super Hotel 8 is on QEW close to the Winona Peach Festival. Direct drive to and from Toronto/ Niagara area corridor along beautiful grape and wine country. The pool is beautiful! Had a wonderful time visiting with family. Lots of things have changed in the area since we were last there, new homes, malls. Short drive to the Falls and outlet malls, Staff very friendly and helpful with infomation. Very quiet, great for sleeping. Breakfast could have had more fresh fruits since the area has a lot of farms.

If in Grimsby...

... this place is a clean and comfortable stay. Our last minute family event meant that we paid full price, which was too much for the quality of hotel. However the location was spot on - very convenient if you need to visit Grimsby.

Staff was friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was very limited and items such as bagels and fruit not always fresh.

Convenient

The Hotel is conveniently located just off the Q.E.W. at the Casablanca cut-off. Room was comfortable and suited for our needs. Breakfast was provided in a separate room, and items were well supplied.

Stayed here as close to the friends we were visiting. Very clean and handy as we had a car. Breakfast was very disapointing but apart from that it was good

The room and Hotel were absolutely clean. The staff were most helpful.

Room and hotel in general was very cold. Heat did not seem to be working, as the weekend weather was unseasonably cold

It was convenient. We have stayed there before. It had breakfast included for the 4 of us. The kids loved the pool. Everything was pleasant and nice.

Convenient, comfortable and economical when travelling with the whole family. The pool was very welcome.

Don't Bother

Dark dingy suite, cold pool, tired decor, breakfast room had stale muffins and no juice, soiled napkins and crumbs in kitchen area. Not terribly friendly.

I could not hookup to the WIFI. I called front desk and they me to call the 1-800 number. I called twice and they told me that a supervisor would call me. That person said that it appeared the antenna needed to be rebooted. The supervisor did not call me then or later. The next day I called twice and still no response.

Very clean, quiet, comfy, great location. Pool and Hot tub clean, hot tub could be warmer. Friendly staff. Free Breakfast left a lot to be desired, but i don't usually care about those anyway.

Relatively new hotel so rooms are clean. Rooms just on the small side but acceptable. I prefer the sink in with the tub and toilet. Free spacious parking. Rust beside restaurants and entrance onto the highway. I would stay here again

good access to QEW

Stayed there on the way back to USA following a trip to watch OHL hockey. I left my previous motel without stopping at the desk to checkout or return the key cards. The desk clerk called the motel in Sarnia to be sure there was no problems.
