We enjoyed the pool and the water slide. The hotel is very nicely located to the south common shopping area, and only a short drive to the airport.
Dripping bath tub faucet. Small room. Room was long and narrow.
I find the room was very dusty, no proper maintenance, need to properly painted, carpet was old and dusty and the king room has very small wash room and very small room. Not too much space.
The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and very quiet.
We enjoyed our stay at Super 8 South immensely. Very friendly staff greeted us and were there to clean in a courteous and thorough manner. Pool and hot tub were great...a nice relax at the end of the day. No complaints about the breakfast...basic but all there in good supply. A hotel that appeals to all ages and especially families. Highly recommend!!
Don't usually stay at this hotel while in Edmonton, but rooms were in short supply due to the rodeo. The lobby was nice and they have a pool with waterslide and hot tub, so would be a good choice for a young family who are looking to keep the kids entertained. The rooms were quite dated and fairly small. I didn't expect a new hotel room, but I did expect that when renovating the lobby they... more
Beds were ok, weren't expecting much. Disappointed in all the rust in the bathtub (didnt feel right bathing our babies in there) pool area was in poor condition with stains on the deck area and unfinished repairs to the hot tub. We felt the building was too new to be that worn out. Staff was very friendly and continental breakfast was nice. Overall not clean enough for babies.
We had a short family reunion there and the kids had a great time in the pool and waterslide. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.
Our girls enjoyed the water slide & hot tub. We found the shower water pressure was poor. The elevator was slow. Otherwise our room was fine. Continental Breakfast was all right. It would have been nicer to have scrambled eggs too!
Overall a very nice hotel located nicely with access to all major thoroughfares allowing you to easily navigate the city. The suite style room we had was excellent for small children as the separate living room / bedroom was perfect. The kitchenette with microwave and fridge was very useful for leftovers and small meals.
Fine spot for work or budget location. No real business center and computer needs updating (especially worn keyboard).
lobby dirty, and desk piled up with dirty towels.very unfriendly staff.the room was very beat up and dated. we moved to the ramada after one night in the super 8.
The location of the hotel is great, with restaurants, shopping and lots of family fun near by. The hotel has a pool/waterside which is great except it is always so busy, it's hard to find a spot in the pool. Maybe a weekday stay would be better. Also room was very small, and laid out unfunctional, with the mirror and... more
I stayed for 1 night with my daugher and 2 grandchildren. The rooms were clean and well presented, the bathroom was clean and supplied with all necessary towels. The children loved the pool and hot tub.
My only complaint was the noise from other guests having a dispute in the hallway out side my door at 3:00 AM and then...

Dirty counters, dirty hallways, chipped, old paint on countertops, wrinkled bedding and poorly made beds. It's like stepping back in time 20 years. Definitely wish I had spent an extra $30 and stayed somewhere else. We chose this one because of the waterslide but I'm sure there is a better hotel for not much more money with a watersLide, it's... more
Stayed here 2 nights in March for a hockey tournament.
This is a typical family, sports team type motel.
Room was fine, clean, 2 queen beds with mini fridge.
Breakfast here was underwhelming, now that so many hotels are offering breakfast I was pretty disappointed in this one. The selection and quality is much lower than I have experienced lately...

We spent two nights here recently, and I was quite impressed with the value and comfort at the south-side Super 8. The room was a bit on the small side, but that's ok for the two of us. The king-size bed was very comfy, and with a nice flat screen TV and free Wifi, our entertainment needs were met. The... more
Had to overnight in Edmonton and remembered a hotel in the South that we stayed at a while back that we enjoyed. It was the Super 8 South and we enjoyed our stay once more. Located nicely for all shopping, my wife Shirley loves to shop!! Quite and clean with a light breakfast tro get you going in the morning... more
Great, economical stay in Edmonton. Kids loved the waterslide and we enjoyed hot tub. Breakfast was good with a variety of quick breakfast items. Kids liked the ego waffles, yogurt, and fruit juices. Coffee was fresh and hot. Breakfast area clean and well cared for. Room was ok, a bit too hot but we put ac on and it was... more
Very quiet, helpful staff, would definitely stay again
One pillow, mattress not great, fairly noisy, just OK for the money. Temperature control was HOT or jus not running at all. Blankets - hardly any, very light. We used to stay here regularly but not sure I would again. Does have a pool and continental breakfast but so do a lot of hotels now.
Rooms were older run down, our first room had a hole in the wall above the cupboards. We upgraded to a king suite which was recently renovated but the furniture had rips and holes in it. The room rate jumped from $130/night to $179/night. Overall it was basically clean but some of the rooms were in poor condition . Compared... more
I have stayed here a few times and have enjoyed my stay but when I stayed there this time in mid January one of the maids was extremely rude. I ignored it but when I went out for a coffee and came back there was a pest control van parked and when I went up the pest control guy was... more
I must admit, I was not expecting much when family members and myself decided to stay here. It was in close proximity to the hospital where we needed to be for a very early appointment. The rooms were clean, spacious and all you need for this type of stay. The continental breakfast was very nice and well stocked. Location was... more
My family rented two rooms the weekend of November 23 and 24th. I made the reservation based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. Check in was easy, our rooms were ready and the front desk cleak even helped us with information about restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were going to go in the hot tub and swimming... more
I have stayed at this hotel over 20 times in the past two years. Always a warm reception and they reward their frequent travellers with a free night every 15th stay; this is in addition to the usual Wyndham Rewards and, in my opinion, a great perk for business travellers such as myself. I could stay basically anywhere I wanted... more
We recently checked in for a medical trip. I asked for two things one the medical rate and two a wheel chair accessible room. I expected something a reduction in the price due to the medical rate I was charged 123.00 I inquired if that was the medical rate I was assured rah was the medical rate I asked why... more
We stayed for the convience of location and for the breakfast. When I called to enquire about the breakfast it was stated that there would be more than just waffles. There were no waffles, eggos do not count as waffles!! Good thing there were other items.
This hotel is not at all what I expected for the money I spent! Sure, it was a pet friendly hotel but it also smelled like it, too. The room smelled very strongly of bleach to mask the smell of other animals' urine. The walls were dirty and marked up.
The continental breakfast was skimpy and had an extremely limited...

We got a last minute reservation at this hotel due to an unexpected change in our accommodations. This place was great. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I was so impressed that i didn't notice a few things. The furniture in he room was a little dated. Hotel is comfortable and clean. Nice to have kitchen area and frig for goodies to be stored. I didn't appreciate the false fire alarm the first night we were there. We visited Edmonton during sad circumstances to help a dying relative. The clean comfortable rooms, great pool-waterslide area, but most of all the kind congenial staff brightened our 6-day stay and made us feel like family. We missed them after we left and plan to come again.
We had a pet-friendly room on the 1st floor which was a good size and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Location is in a commercial area & lots of restaurants & stores nearby. However it was quiet at night despite being fairly busy when we stayed.
My kids loved the waterslide. The rooms were comfortable but the breakfast could have been better. The only hot food was instant oatmeal and what ever you put in the toaster.
My family: myself and wife; daughter and 2 grandchildren and son/daughter -in-law with 2 chidren, stayed here the night of July 13-2013. Reception staff were courteous and efficient. Rooms were clean and as booked. The indoor pool opens at 6:00 AM, so 3 grandchildren (fourth is 2 months old) had a great time. After the disasterous night before in Red... more

Must be a popular team place because there was a lot kids here.
Room was dirty and loud. Towels had a funky smell. Typical continental breakfast with toast, bagels, etc. The staff was pretty friendly but I wouldn't stay here again.
The hotel was clean but old. It needs some updating.
We booked a block of rooms through the Sherwood Park Soccer Association Website for their annual Classic Tournament May 24-26th. I had my 13 year old daughter and two of her friends in my room. The first night/morning I was kept up all night/morning by the partiers next door. The girls were sleeping through it so I did not want... more
Hot tub was dirty for 2 days! The second floor had a bad odor when u stepped of the elevator. The stairwell smelled like stale smoke.
When I booked omline they classed it with HI...the only thing in common is the comfy beds. For $60 more I should have stayed with our usual!
Loved that the pool was open late enough at night and early enough in the morning that we got to use it twice. Loved the waterslide. Room was comfortable, very comfortable pillows. A couple of high school groups were staying there, but they were on another floor, so they didn't bother us. Overall, great stay.
The room was pretty good how ever if up dated TVs would have been nice. And there was no inter-net availabilty in the room. The juices for Contamenty bekfast tatesed a lilltle off.
Hot tub in room not been cleaned properly , used it and in morning had skin rash , have taken water samples for testing. I found this hotel to be very old and outdated. The walls are paper thin and I would not return to this hotel. very disappointed.
The staff were awesome. Room clean and comfy beds. they still had breakfast out after 1000 and we were allowed to eat. Good location easy acess to restaurants and shopping. we didn't try out the pool, maybe next time.
Our family recently spent two nights here. On our last day we woke up to find our truck windows smashed out and we had been robbed of valuables. This happened to five or six people. I've been staying in this hotel for 8 years and it is now starting to show its age with things like missing trim, rust near the hot tub and pool, etc.. but the price is not reflecting this condition.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable, breakfast good, and great coffee. The down fall was no heat or should say in the morning it took couple of hours to warm up enough to have a shower. Also tiles in bathroom area cold-cold!
Stayed here on the weekend with my daughter's soccer team. Reasonable price -- you get what you pay for. The facility is showing it's age. the staff was friendly and location was within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and shopping.
Stayed here because the Sheraton was full. Walls are paper thin so you hear everybody opening and closing their door and walking up and down the hallway, bed and pillows uncomfortable and sheets threadbare. hotel needs a total refit.

The hotel has obviously been there for awhile but it's also obvious that they're undergoing renovations right now. Old furniture and tv in the rooms. Hot tub not working, lobby floor was extremely dirty when we checked in which didnt leave me with high expectations for room cleanliness but it was fine, staff was very friendly though.
Will not stay again. Thought we would give it a try but once we arrived to the hotel we realized that it was much more outdated then originally thought. There was gunk behind the toilet upon arrival. Only 2 face clothes and there is 3 of us. Lack of pillows in room. Everything is outdated. From the fridge, to t.v.,... more
We came down for a pediatric dentist appointment and picked this hotel because they gave us a medical rate! Very friendly staff. They gave us an early check in and a late check out. Parts if the hotel could use some TLC, but was quite pleased with our stay. Our kids loved the pool and waterside.
While the hotel was busy and quite full, our room was in a wonderful place and all was in order. It was a wonderful night's stay!
Great location in south Edmonton. Quiet rooms dispute property location, varied food restaurants within walking distance, great morning buffet, easy access to highway systems and good value. Would stay here again.
We had fun at the water slide. Good location , pricing ,friendly staff. Breakfast choices were good ......Overall Outstanding . Had to visit my relative at the university hospital . Although not the closest but fine. Nice...nice...nice need we say
My in-laws, fiance and I recently stayed here when we came up looking for my wedding dress. It is no means dirty but it has defiantly seen better days. The carpet in both the rooms and hallways were very outdated, and there were scuff marks in the walls every where you looked.

Our bedspread had gross small stains I can only guess what they were. When I called down for a new one she said I had to come get it-didn't bother as we all in our pajamas already. Carpet was very dirty, hallways were dingy. Was hair in the shower-not ours.
Very old small tube tv's.
