My husband and I did a craft show in this hotel on April 8 and 9. On Friday around 3 PM we had lunch at the restaurant in the hotel. I believe it's called Michael's. We had the steak sandwich, fries, gravy and the most horrible, over cooked carrots. The food was horrible and the presentation looked like it came out of an outhouse rather than a kitchen. Yes, the food was terrible but that was the least our experience. By around 7PM I began to have a very bad stomach ache. By 8:30PM I was so sick that I was unable to leave the bathroom. I had violent vomiting and diarrhoea. My husband was also sick, but not as bad as I was. By the way, this was the only food we had all day on Friday. The next day we went back to the hotel to finish the last day of the craft show even though we were still feeling ill.
I thought I would let the management know about the food issue. I first talked to a waitress and asked for the manager. She told me he was very busy and asked me what I needed. I told her the problems my husband and I had with the food. About an hour later I got a phone call from the manager, the conversation was OK for the first few seconds until I began to tell him about our ordeal. Needless to say the conversation deteriorated to the point where I just simply hung up on him after he called me a liar. A bit later this man came to my booth and asked for me, he said he was the manager of the hotel. He was dressed in jeans and T shirt, not the look I would expect from a manager, but his apparel was the least of my problems. The man began to tell me I should go to the health department and handed me his card and the Info for the health department. I tried telling him that the only reason I had called him with the food problem was because we were so sick and we felt there was a problem with the kitchen and he should check it out before someone else gets ill. When I was talking to him he had a sarcastic smirk on his face. I asked him why he was behaving this way and at that moment he totally lost it and threw me out of the show, he give us 20 min to pack our booth and get out. Yes, he refunded the money for my booth, but that is not the point. The point is his behaviour was so illogical and wrong, he did not care about peoples well being or anything else, he only cared to exercise his power. We felt totally discriminated against. We also found out other vendors also felt sick that night, and guess what? They ate at the restaurant on Friday afternoon.
If you're ever in St. Albert, AB do not eat at this restaurant!
We stayed here a week while visiting family in St Albert. Nice clean hotel and best of all air-conditioning, the weather was in the 30's while we were there. Handy to Edmonton too being on the St Albert Trail.
The Restaurant food was mediocre to say the least, veges were frozen type you get in the supermarket, same with the...

Our basement suite flooded us out and St. Albert Inn took us in right away. We stayed in a Family suite which was spacious and had a nice functional kitchen (including cookware etc. you name it) House keeping did a fantastic job of keeping our room clean and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant... more
I stayed here in april.the hotel is a bid tired.average stay nothing to complain about ,but also nothing to write home about.the food at the restaurant was presented poorly with low quality ingridients.on the end of the the no fireworks here.
Comfortable rooms with very friendly staff. Complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby is a nice touch. Rooms were clean and bed sheets very crisp and fresh. An older place but well kept. I would stay here again.
There are a few things about this place that make it meh, like another reviewer wrote, but we stayed 6 nights over the holidays and it was, in the end, a pretty good stay.
I'll start with the cons:
- Water pressure. You *can* take a shower at this hotel, but you'll be depressed when you finish. And possibly still...

My daughter and I stayed there for a couple of nights. We had absolutely NO HEAT in our room! I turned the thermostat up and still no heat. I could feel the draft coming in from the window (December). I would've moved rooms but my daughter was sleeping and it was about 11pm when I started to notice. We had... more
It was an alright place. Lobby is done nice but our room still showed the age of the place. One suggestion to the owners, upgrade your shower heads. Those old metal ones you have belong in rat bag motels in small towns, not your place. But our room was clean and very spacious. Friendly staff.
I stayed here for business and did not have use of a car. The hotel is literally at an intersection where there are four strip malls, providing several mediocre options for restaurants - and almost as many grocery store options. That was by far the best thing about this hotel. The room was also clean and spacious, so hooray for... more
I was a bit concerned at check-in when the clerk emphasized that someone was at the desk 24 hours a day and that if there was excessive noise I should call rather than waiting to complain in the morning. However, the room was very quiet - perhaps he was simply being thorough. I appreciated the fact that the windows opened... more
We had wonderful stay at this hotel during our visit to canada. This hotel was recommended to us by our friends. During our stay we tried Rics Restaurant and we got 10% off total bill. Forget about discount part it was so good. All other things also available at walk in distance.
Staff were good, informative and very helpful at...

Hotel is settled in St. Albert area. Is in close proximity to grocery store. My room was updated which was still hard to tell what was upgraded. The airconditioner was super noisey and had a difficult time keeping the room clean. Power outlets where overloaded with power blocks and electrical cords. Shower pressure was horrible. Nothing to fancy about the... more
First off the restaurant is great, attentive servers for our 3 day stay,Brieanne is a great asset! The rooms otherwise fit the bill for the average traveler, with fridge and microwave.Next the cleaning staff, top notch, our room for the 3 days was cleaned well,so I give them hats off,And there early housekeeping time can catch you off guard, the rest, well quirky items... more
This was my first time staying there and I will return. The short version of a long story, on arrival, my vehicle's starter died, but I did not discover this until the next morning. I had a full day of meetings. In the space of 15 minutes, I arranged for a fix at a dealership 2 doors down then my... more
St Albert Inn is a nice convenient hotel. We usually stay here because of easy access to visiting friends and relatives in the area

My family stayed here for three nights recently. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Check in and out went smoothly.
Housekeeping did a pretty good job although I thought trying to clean a "stay" room earlier than 10 am was a bit early.

we stayed at the St Albert in because of a company Party . The rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable , softest sheets . we did not order room service or do the pool just didn't have time . but I would recommend the stay
older style hotel. too expencive for what it's actually worth. cleanliness is so so. smells old. would go to a bigger chain well known hotel for the same price. The snow in the parking lot was not cleared , sidewalks were slippery.Fitness facility is poor. several elevators some didnt work without any signage. Almost got stuck. - very confusing layout.... more
We went recently for a lovely celebration of a wedding, and found that it was somewhere that if you are invited to go for a reason, great , but definitely stay somewhere else. I attended a wedding reception at the St Albert Inn, but I did not stay at the hotel and cannot comment on the rooms.
The room was decorated very nicely. There was plentiful free parking.
The dance floor was a good size.

I infrequently travel to St. Albert on business. For the past 7 or 8 years I always stayed at this hotel. I think I will change where I stay in the future.
The good stuff: The rooms are acceptable, pretty much what one would expect from any mid-grade hotel. I have to say bed was very, very comfortable. The staff...

This goes down in my books as the noisiest hotel I have ever experienced. All evening and night all I could hear were people running around above me, slamming doors and to top it off a clear conversation from my bathroom air vent. This place has virtually no sound proofing. If you are looking for a loud noisy stay book... more
Stayed at this hotel last summer while attending a family wedding. This hotel was clean, and friendly with great amenities in the area all within walking distance. Even though it's located on a main traffic route I didn't find it too noisy. Should I find myself in the area again I'd stay here.
Seemed nice enough when we checked in. Good location for what we were doing and nice girl at the desk. But I don't remember ever spending such a poor night anywhere because of the noise. Could hear the conversation next door, people in the halls, music from downstairs at the bar and we were on the 5th floor. And these... more
The St. Albert Inn is in a great location, but the quality of the rooms and the facility is poor. When you walk to the elevator you are greeted with about a dozen large security cameras plastered all over every wall and corridor, so your very first impression is that the hotel is not a safe place or at least... more
Been coming here for years and the building seems to be falling apart. We just returned from a family gathering where all of us stayed in rooms at this hotel. We had stayed in this hotel back in 2007,and back then, boy was it dated! I see that they have been going about the place and trying to reno it slowly,so It has improved somewhat. I've stayed here a number of times over the past 4-5 years. It is reasonably priced and is a good economic alternative to staying in West Edmonton. The most important thing to know about this hotel is the North end is new(2-ish years). Although the rest of the hotel has been renovated, the new end is quite a bit nicer.... more
The hotel was decent. Bed was ok, although it was only a queen. The room's configuration was weird. The bed did not face the TV and the bedside lamp and alarm clock were powered by extension cords (unhidden) running from the wall opposite the TV. The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. The room had a wall mounted... more
