It is so dificult to actually find a restaurant which is authentic, specially from hispanic food. A lot of the restaurants go towards a mexican approach since it appeals to many people, but at the soul the cuba cafe cesar, the owner has put the extra effort to maintain his background tradition from the food to its main drink, the... more
Wonderful food, great service and a fun evening listening to Rant and Rave...a local singing duo...we were a group of 6 and we all loved our food and our evening there...will go again soon.
I suppose the fact that this place had no diners and the 2 next door restaurants were busy should have been a warning flag but we had made reservations so went ahead. The owner was friendly and made us very welcome. The food was OK quality and but not value for money. I was surprised given the positive reviews on... more
We were looking for something a little unique, just before a concert at the nearby Kelowna Community Theatre. Soul de Cuba dished up hearty homestyle meals at at reasonable price point. The owner is friendly and provided prompt service. We would all definitely go back to make more of an evening of it. As it was, this was just right... more
Everything was excellent. Makes you want to travel to Cuba. Nice clean restaurant. Prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent.
Authentic Cuban music plays in the background, tropical atmosphere with Spanish speaking around, delicious dishes, and the best mojito in town (believe me). The service is 5 starts, and Cesar, the owner, will make your night an unforgettable experience. Definitely a place to come back.
Went for dinner with my wife and two teenage boys. Food was very tasty and well presented for a cafe. The host was very nice.
This is a great little restaurant located downtown Kelowna. Cuban food has a reputation for being bland but the food here is anything but. Every dish i've tried has been flavourful and delicious. This restaurant is tucked away off busy Water Street and has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Cesar, the owner, is a great host and makes one of... more
Came here for lunch with work colleagues last week. We all went for the Cuban sandwich. It was huge, 2 large pieces of grilled french bread filled with ham, pork Swiss and pickles. Very large portion for only $8. Great selection of wines and imported beers as well.
cannot wait to try more of this menu.
Really enjoyed dining here tonight and so did my gf. Located on Sunset Drive so I do not think to go there usually and first time tonight. Good ambiance with nice Spanish music playing and food was very fresh and tasty. Will go back! One criticism...beer prices are too high to entice at $5.75 PLUS tax for a single bottle... more
Couldn't figure out why this place was always so busy until we visited. The food is excellent and authentic. You would think you were in Havana - the only thing missing is the old cars!
Everything on the menu is worth trying - you won't find anything else like it. The owner is Cuban and has brought with him his...

Have wanted to try this place for sometime - my husband was a bit unsure. Had a very lovely meal - I chose the marinated shredded beef and my husband had the chicken with fruit sauce (prawn appetizer in tasty garlic sauce) with excellent, friendly service (thanks Sasha!) Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Nice little patio -... more
The restaurant is small and vibrant, the food and service were exceptional and the reserved table was waiting for us, even though we were late arriving. We appreciated this small detail.
The Cuban Band were great, but a little hard to talk over.
We for lunch almost every tie we come in from Vernon. The food is excellent and the coffee is wonderful. The prices are very good as well and we love the atmosphere. The have a good dinner menu and, at times, have live entertainment.
Great service and a tasy menu. Next I will try eating lunch here and or go again on a night when there is entertainment.
When the band from Cuba is there - Cuban FIre. They are great, energetic and fun to dance and sing with. They get the whole place up and dancing every time they are there. Which is Tues nights 7 -9. Food is authentic Cuban Fare, even the waiter & owner dances. Don't miss them.!
My family and I had a great supper the other night. The mojitos were the best I've had outside of Cuba. My 2yr old and 3yr old loved the fantastically cooked fish which was better than the $30 salmon plate we ate the night before in the Rockies. The service was fantastic and attentive without being overbearing. We were able... more
I can't say enough about this place. Firstly, the food is all great, from the appetizers to the entrees. They have simply the best mojitos I have ever tasted and the service is top notch! I have also been on other occasions for their yummy breakfast and great panini sandwiches for lunch.
Cesar is a wonderfully warm and friendly host...
