Great position, very good bedrooms with underfloor heating in bathroom, staff very friendly and helpful. would have no hesitation in recommending to friends or family and I would stay here again. Skoosh offerered best price for this hotel
I have never been to Toronto so I had no idea where to stay. I would say for one night it was a fair price. We all have little thing we like more than the other and honestly my favorite part of the room was the heated floor in the bathroom. Little things like that just made my stay. When I arrived I checked in my room was not ready so it was nice to enjoy a complimentary beer while I waited. I... more
Worst hotel I ever stayed in I didn't know I wasn't aloud to have a guest after 11pm and the the hotel manager was the rudest person I have ever met saying I could not have more than two people in my room that I paid over 500 dollars to stay in for the night but yeah that's cool never will I stay here again I don't suggest it for anyone no respect for customers
Short Review:
THE best boutique hotel and one of the best overall hotels I've stayed in around the world. Great attention to detail - both in-room and customer focused. Rooms are spacious and high end; bar/restaurants are really good. Great downtown location where you can walk to everything. Next time I'm in Toronto, I'll stay here for sure.

Had a wonderful experience that began before we even before we checked in! As our taxi was helping us to unload our luggage from the trunk, one of the evening concierges Adrian came outside to help us bring in our bags. Not sure if they strive to do this with every check-in, or just when it's quiet, or perhaps this was completely random, based on the concierge and time of night day. Either way,... more
Everything was perfect; the location, the service, the room, the amenities. After a very, very long day of travel, we finally got to our room at Soho Metropolitan Hotel. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The bathroom is beautiful with a large soaking tub and heated floors. Just what I needed to rejuvenate. We stayed in 4 hotels on our Canadian trip and this was by far the best of the... more
I do not understand the negative reviews. I just finished a two night stay and I thought the hotel was fantastic. I travel a lot and I am very particular. My wife calls me a diva. I like a lot of style, but I don't like hotels that consider themselves so "hip" and cater to the customers in their nightclub over their guests. I like top amenities and service at places like the Regency in New... more
This place is a JOKE in calling themselves "fine luxury". I practically live in hotels, with work travel and this must be the worst hotel I've stayed at, and at such a high cost. I mistakenly booked this place - tried to deal with that issue, and wasn't able to change rooms or cancel reservation - was told my only option was to check in. Once I checked in, they told me because I'd checked in, I... more
Loved my stay here over the weekend. I let concierge know that I needed a good night's rest and some relaxation and the hospitality I received thereafter was very much appreciated. The tub and heated floors in the bathroom are heaven and the food...yum. Will definitely return.
Service was great - the restaurant staff were accommodating and the front desk staff were lovely.
The rooms are decent, newish but slightly dated from a style perspective. Bathrooms are lush with heated floors and all marble.
3 stars for the rooms smelling like smoke though. I changed rooms once but when the second room smelled like smoke I decided to give up. Might be an air circulation...

Stellar service and amazing staff. I arrived close to midnight, I had work to complete, and they were more than accommodating to help me finish my work. Thank you so much for all your help, I really appreciate it!!! Oh and the lychee juice was delicious.
This hotel is the worst. Staying here now during the Toronto film festival and they gave me a room literally right by the elevator and won't move me even though I checked in before the hotel was fully occupied for the festival and they could have . Besides the people that stand and talk by the elevators, the bells of the elevator ding all night long and they won't move me or issue a refund.... more
Worst four star hotel I ever had to stay during a production. Besides the loud parties that are a regular occurrence on the weekends (hotel should be smart enough not to put weekend guests on the same floor as long time film crew guests) the staff refused to send someone to do housekeeping during the 10 days we were on night shoots, because we didn't leave our rooms before 2 pm. Then topped it... more
I am only giving two stars bc the decor and vibe here looks nice. Otherwise it would get 1 star due to the fact that they have construction and dump / trash trucks beginning as early as 630am And scattered through the day. Being on a shoot schedule with odd hours, you stay at 5star hotel expecting a certain level of quiet and comfort. Don't count on it here. They apparently can't do anything... more
Very dissapointed in our stay. My husband and I were visiting from the US and were told we recieved an upgraded room. Our room looked out at a parking lot?! My first trip to Toronto, and I chose the perfect hotel. There is a lot to self park next door or they offer valet. Walking distance to just about any tourist attraction in the city. Great hotel. Location is what attracted me. The staff was friendly.
This hotel is absolutely outstanding. Number one reason being the service - absolute 5 star service. I stayed at the hotel for a over a month and then again on more than 10 individual trips recently. They remembered I needed hypo allergenic sheets and already had... more

Came here recently, celebrating an anniversary. It was our first night away from our toddler and it was perfect. Love this boutique hotel. Great rooms, service and location - will go back!!!
Stayed here for a conference recently. Overall, a great stay. Service was excellent and rooms were very comfortable. Only negatives were that the AC didn't seem to work well in the room, and breakfast was pretty pricey (~$20 per person). I would definitely recommend getting the package with the breakfast included in the stay. Otherwise, good hotel and very centrally located. I would stay again.
I have enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The service, the room where I was all excellent. I also like the buffet selection they offered for breakfast. Next trip in toronto I will surely check in again.
This hotel is awesome! Great location. The rooms are modern and comfortable - I loved it and would definitely return. The breakfast restaurant is great, even if the staff are a bit stuffy. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Meeting rooms are well appointed also.
Everything was perfect. We stayed one night and loved the beautiful spacious room. Double doors into bathroom were a bonus - really loved the design. Excellent shower and bathtub. Friendly staff.
The level of service was superb - the concierges booked restaurants (and got good tables!) and recommended how best to use our limited time in town. Flawless.
My husband and I stayed at SoHo for our 24th anniversary. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We got an upgrade and the room was beautiful and clean. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel was in a great location and walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
The front desk staff required a deposit and our chip did not work so she needed to get 300 in cash. Very odd and it got all screwed up it seemed very unproffessional. We also had a hard time getting our deposit back because we left at different times. So irritating we may never stay here again
Best place to stay in Toronto. The SoHo is an incredible hotel. My wife and I stayed for a weekend getaway and could not have been happier. The room was fantastic, featuring heated bathroom floors, super comfortable beds, and flattering night time turn down service. The staff way friendly and went out of their way to address any need we had. Won't stay anywhere else on a return visit to Toronto.
Arrived 30 minutes before first pitch at Rogers Centre and greeted warmly by all staff. We had been upgraded to a wonderful fourth floor room and found everything PERFECT. Great location to attend any event at the Rogers Centre and downtown restaurants. Will definitely return to the SoHo Metropolitan on our next visit to Toronto.
I absolutely love this hotel! Location is perfect. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful - always smiling. My room was amazing - spacious, clean, nice decor on the walls, an abundance of towels. The minibar was well stocked (although I didn't have anything from it), and there were an abundance of snack foods on the counter as well. I especially loved the bathroom (heated floors!).... more
On top of the parking and room for one night I have been charged by the hotel for unknown expenses. Visited August 29-30, 2014. We picked this hotel because it was very close to Roger Centre, which is why we were visiting Toronto. Less then a 5 minute walk to stadium & CN Tower. great location and the room was very clean and comfortable. within walking distance (or short cab ride) from anywhere downtown.
My wife and I stayed at the soho because we were going to a wedding that Friday night, and we thought let's try the Soho. The hotel itself was great, the room, we were not impressed at ALL! Our view was looking at a wall, and the bed was Brutal. The bed must have never been flipped or replaced since the hotel was opened! This place is my favorite in Toronto. Love the automatic blind switch beside the bed. If you have a stay planned downtown toronto, this place is the coolest bet. go for it and you'll enjoy.
Stayed here for my wedding night... no regrets! The bathroom was gorgeous! Felt pampered. Cool features: heated floors in the bathroom and control switch for the curtains. Staff were very friendly too.
Wonderful location, downtown and everything you need is just a couple steps away. Room was very clean and looked well taken care of. Bathroom was large and luxurious, the heated floors were great! Bed was very comfortable, and the electric drapes were actually a nice convenience.
Room is very comfortable, very upscale, except for the bathroom fan which was old and way to loud.
The room was great. Bed was ok. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The concierge was absolutely fantastic. Scored us last minute tickets for an event and ran into traffic to hail us a cab. It's a five minute walk to just about everything. Fantastic place to stay!
We stayed here to take in some weekend baseball and the location is fantastic. The hotel is clean and new, the staff are friendly and helpful. This is my new top pick for toronto stays.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and modern. Within walking distance to MTCC, CN tower, Eaton Centre and Rogers Centre. Will definitely be staying here again.
Fantastic stay, at a beautiful hotel. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
We had a great stay at the SoHo. It was conveniently located. The hotel and room were beautiful and had everything you could want. We enjoyed the location, we were able to walk to everything we wanted.
Other then the construction that woke me up (went to bed at 4:30am got woken up at 6:30am) cant complain.
First time in Toronto. Got in late. Staff was amazing. Will definitely consider the next time in town.
Beautiful comfy bed, heated bathroom floors, great hot tub and gym. The Soho, while pricey, was the perfect romantic getaway.
We recently stayed at the SoHo Metropolitan. It is a centrally located hotel in Toronto. Our room was very nice but the view out of our window was a large parking lot. There are tons of places to eat... more
A very nice place to stay, very accommodating, great staff and an incredible overall. The room was better than expected, the location great, the amenities (pool and health club) very good and better than average. I will stay here again.
Great stay! Very comfortable room and nice staff. They tried to upsell us on a larger room, but weren't overly pushy. Would stay there again.
Hotel Staff was very friendly. Large room. Wife loved the large bathroom with the heated floor. Location was excellent. Close to the waterfront. Within walking distance of Chinatown, Rodgers Center, and Hockey Hall of Fame. Would stay there again.
Beautiful, new, modern hotel with everything we needed including heated bathroom floors - 5s across the board. The only 4 (maybe 4.5) is location - while the hotel is within a short walk of the King and Queen St life and the nearest subway stop, the immediate area around the hotel feels a touch quiet and removed for my taste. Overall, awesome hotel that I would recommend.
Our room was exceptionally clean & well-maintained, and very luxurious. Very walkable to many core downtown attractions.
I don't even know where to begin. Heated floors, outstanding staff, superb (and beyond knowledgeable) concierge, prime location, cleaning services to the nine... S@!t. I may move in here!
Coming from California and staying for 9 nights, we really debated paying this much. It was just upwards of $300 a night. But seriously, I don't give a s@!t. This is the BEST hotel we've ever stayed at. If...

This hotel is very clean. Excellent service from staff. The beds are very comfortable.
Terrible Concierge barged into our room without permission and forced out guests to leave in the middle of the night! Rudest staff ive ever come across!!! Room was Falsely advertised! $300 for a mini bar and king bed with not even a sofa! Worst hotel in downtown Toronto!!!
Great place to stay if you are traveling as a couple. The bathroom has a great tub for soaking. Really loved the Molton Brown shampoo & conditioner. We also had a great drink at the bar downstairs on our way back from dinner. I would definitely recommend staying here. Room stayed dark in the morning and the bed was very comfortable.
The cafe served fabulous food. Room service was great. Room was huge and clean. Bath products were great. Everyone was very helpful and polite.
We went to Toronto to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had tickets to do two ball games and he wanted to see the Hockey Hall of Fame. The hotel was two blocks from the ball park and it was about a 20 minute walk to the Hockey Hall of Fame. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Our only disappointment was that the pool closed at 8pm on Saturday night.
If you are a connessouir of excellent Service, then this is the place to stay. From the Lexus hotel car to drive you to close in locations in the morning, to extras you won't find everywhere.
This hotel left me lost for words. The service was amazing from the second I got there. All the employees were kind and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and the pictures you see online is what you see when you arrive. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.
I can't say enough about this hotel. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, and the staff friendly, accommodating and willing to do whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Friendly, professional service, a very comfortable stay.
CHECKING IN:
The front desk area was very neat and tidy. Our front desk agent was very courteous and the check-in process went smoothly.
ROOM:
Simply amazing. The sitting area and bathroom are separated from the bedroom by large sliding doors. There was a mini-bar with plenty of stock, and if you wanted to take the stuff out and use it as a fridge, it's easy to do as it’s not weight censored...

Beautiful room, great location, friendly helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again.
I shouldn't give a five star rating; it will make it harder to book a room in the future !! But this hotel is great. I have stayed in literally 100's of hotels around the world and I finally found the perfectly designed hotel room. Everything is ergonomically designed. I loved it.
The location doesn't hurt either.
The Soho is a contemporary hotel located in Toronto's Entertainment District. The staff is warm, attentive and engaging at every moment and for every request. The heated bathroom floor makes staying there a treat in cold weather. The Soho is within easy walking distance of fine restaurants, shopping and fab entertainment.
Really enjoyed my short stay here. The lobby is nice, with a nice cafe attached. The rooms are fairly basic, but the bathrooms are spacious with heated floors and big showers. The staff is very good. Didn't have a great view or anything and it's in a business-y area so it's not a super quaint or interesting neighborhood. It's a... more
I stayed here 8 years ago for my wedding night, and was blown away by every aspect of this hotel.
Recently , returned here for a business function, and again impressed with everything especially service.
Phenomenal rooms, elegantly appointed, and quiet.
Only gripe is that gym opens at. 8 am, which is not early for many. They should open it...

Just came from a 3 day visit to Toronto. This hotel has a great location. It is convenient to the toronto city airport and downtown toronto. The rooms are huge and made me feel like I should have brought more stuff. Huge tub and separate shower, all marble. The closet was more of a dressing room than a closet. The staff at the front desk, concierge and bar were... more
This hotel is wonderful! The staff are professional yet friendly, the concierge is efficient and knowledgable, and the rooms are almost as gorgeous as the bathrooms! I have stayed here a number of times, and although not the cheapest room available in Toronto downtown, if you hate the large top-end chain hotels, and wish to spend about the same money... more
I love boutique hotels and this one didn't disappoint. It was large, has a gorgeous bathroom and closet space, and was well furnished. Every detail was taken care of down to classical music on when you entered the hotel room and mats placed at the floor of the bed. Huge flat screen TV and a very nice pool and hot tub, should you bring your bathing suit. Although it was not as close to the... more
We stayed here for 1 night because we're attending a wedding in Toronto. What a beautiful hotel! The staff is friendly, the hotel very classy and the room was fantastic! Though the layout of the suite was a little odd, it was huge.
The shower was awesome- so many jets.
and the view was great. nice little gym and pool, too.
didn't try the restaurant but heard great things
The hotel is nice, dry clean and has excellent service. The rooms have nice beds and usually a great view. You can't beat the beautiful bathrooms with heated floors!!!.
The location is not the absolute greatest but it does have some good resto's around and you can easily walk up to queen at.
The senses restaurant is awesome for any meal. Everything I've had there has been excellent.
Pros: good location, near to trendy king west and some nice restaurants (Weslodge/Patria) Also near enough to downtown.
The concierge was helpful and cheerful, and did an excellent job booking a dinner for a group of 12. The maids were pleasant and did a good job cleaning.
Cons: first room had a musty smell and a wet patch of carpet...

We arrived at the SOHO Metropolitan, Downtown Toronto on the final leg of our holiday.

The staff was friendly and room was excellent. I wish we had more time to use the exercise room and pool.
Hotel is very nice and the location is great also. My wife and I had a great view of the city. The staff were very nice and the service was fast (towels, food, answers etc...)To get the best price on this hotel I visited expedia and then I asked them to match the price and they did.
Not sure if the hotel was having an off night, but there was hair in my bathtub. Also the wallpaper was coming off. I am not sure why this hotel is rated a 4, based on my experience. On a positive note, the hotel is located in a great location, and the staff is wonderful!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Soho Metropolitan over four nights in July. Very quiet room, comfortable king-sized bed, excellent bathroom w/ Molton Brown toiletries and friendly staff. The location was near-perfect, as it was a short walk from the tram and a quick cab ride to the city airport. If you are in town for a Blue-Jay game (we were not) this is your hotel...On the negative side,... more
My wife and I were in Toronto for my brother's wedding. We wanted to stay in the "heart" of Toronto and decided to stay downtown. I used a few different sites to see what people had to say about SoHo Metro and the reviews were overall positive. Once you walk into the lobby, it has a very upscale feel to it. We stayed in the Luxury Accommodations room, which was very nice. On a scale of 1-10, I... more
This is defiantly the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed at. The beds and linens are HEAVEN.
Cleaning staff are a little on the lazy side, if your staying additional nights. When I arrived it was perfect. After having a few friends over, we had left some wine glasses on the coffee table and cleaning couldn't bother to pick them up. I also had to call for clean towels.
This is the best place where I go with my family and spend precious time.
It was a great time to spend here. Great service and food! Yummy!!
This place was great. Stayed here for a conference with a software company that we do business with based out of Toronto. The entire staff including those at the Sen5es restaurant and bar were all very attentive and friendly. It is a bit expensive but we got great corporate rates. Located in a nice area near King Street and some others that contain a lot of nice restaurants and establishments.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, although the room itself was a little small. Staff was very helpful and courteous, they were very eager to assist with reservations info etc. Bathroom was best feature well laid out and modern. Would stay here again.
Stayed at The Soho Metropolitan Hotel the evening of Jan 24, 2012 and I was shocked at the size of a 2 bed room for 2 adults as it was so tiny it was like a closet. Right away I disliked this hotel due to the small room size and the cheap television as well as the lack of counter space to put things on and the room was so noisy I hardly got a moments sleep. I'll never stay here again due to... more
Very nice rooms, even better staff. The concierge was very helpful with planning our weekend trip. The room was top-notch and clean, free wi-fi was a huge plus, and the location can't be beat. Overall, an amazing boutique hotel. I will certainly return again.
I've stayed at a few hotels in my time and have discovered you get what you pay for. Except I recently bought an inexpensive coupon for a night at the Soho Metropolitan in Toronto and was treated like royalty. From start to finish the service, room and amenities were extraordinary. I was impressed and will remember the wonderful time I spent there fondly.
Beautiful hotel, Staff Great, Excellent Hotel. I would definitely stay again
Great location!! Within walking distance of nearly all our desired destinations. Friendly staff, concierge was very helpful and rooms were comfortable and clean. Doing my visit at Sen5es met a great bartender Scott, great personality, knowledgeable about the city and visitor sites. He deserves a Bud Light, will definitely stay there on my next visit to Toronto!
Nice place but check in was not available until 5:30 pm. We arrived about 2:00 PM and understood that check in was 3:00. However, it was about 5:30 before they called to let us know the room was ready. Most hotels I have stayed at (many) will try to accomodate early arrivals within reason.
The hotel is pretty nice. I would say downstairs and hallway decor is more fashionable then the rooms itself.
Location is terrible in my opinion. When I'm at hotel, I want convenience to major attractions. This one doesn't do that for me.
Front desk ladies were nice and approachable. The bar in the lobby looks fancy, wanna check it out next time. Elevators were spacious and hold large group...

I absolutely loved by one-night stay at this hotel! The room was a luxury room, with full marble bathroom, heated floors, nice bathtub, great couch and work area and LCD television. I ordered room service from the restaurant downstairs, and although the food wasn't... more
This is by far my favorite hotel in Toronto. The hotel is chic, quiet and well run. The rooms are spacious with a modern design - beautiful details with marble bathroom and soaking tub; beautiful stainless steel fixtures; electronically controlled curtain and high ceilings.

We were placed in a smoking room with nothing more available, were told there was free wifi plus two breakfast options. When checking out they wanted to charge us a hotel service fee for Wifi + other hotel amenities. Breakfast buffet was scrambled eggs and sausage only, for $*. each. Our view was the room next door, all for $* a night. Never again.
The penthouse was fabulous. hugely overpriced at $3000/night. You can bargain them down
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Upscale & chic w/o being snobby. Staff very friendly & helpful, and we were upgraded to a beautiful room. The Staff at this hotel are top notch and I have to say for a girl who likes to be spoiled and is hard to impress the heated floors in the bathroom are to die for. Having stayed at a few hotels including in New York and Milan I can say this one is up there and worth trying
For me, what makes a great hotel is not just luxurious amenities, it's the overall customer service, the attentiveness to customer's needs.
The staffs were terrific at the Soho Metropolitan. I like that a staff would take you to your room and explain how everything works.

My husband and I went for a long weekend to Toronto and loved the hotel. Great hotel in a good location. We didn't need to use our car all weekend. Alittle noisy on Saturday morning due to building next door but otherwise everything was great, It is a very small hotel with a nice indoor pool and exercise room. Excellent service and the bathrooms are the best. Would definately stay here again.
I think heated bathroom floors should be mandatory in all hotels.
The penthouse room has a hot tub and full kitchen, and is great for hosting parties. The decor isn't terribly modern though - and the knick nacks found around the place aren't very cool... some are actually kind of ugly. There is a great view of the city. The roof top patio is big but it could use more greenery.
Loved this hotel. Beautiful rooms, heated bathroom floors, enclosed steam shower, pillow "menu". As well, really good breakfast and cool lounge. Great hotel experience.
Love this little hotel! Nice rooms with great bathrooms- sunken tub, heated floors and separate glass enclosed steam/shower. The swanky cocktail bar/lounge is a cozy spot for a martini before hitting the supper-club scene on nearby Wellington. Wanna live here? Me too- it's spendy but they offer furnished apartments for longer term stays.
Stayed here last week to attend a conference at the Metro Convention Center. Just a short 2 block walk to the Center. Also convenient to theatre, restaurants, Rogers stadium. I'd arranged for early check-in at noon because I was coming to Toronto for my father's funeral. The room still wasn't ready by 2:00.
