With multigrain rice, fresh & nicely cooked vegetables , korean sauce, in sizzling iron pot.
really delicious.....
Now new face, new owner... kind & friendly greetings...
I recommend this food first... then you experience of Korean taste!!!
of course, they are in transition of taking over this restaurant...
Yet I believe that they will improve the management quickly and nicely......

Worst service
August 12, 2013There was a party of 10-12 people and I could tell the server was busy with them. We waited for 5 minutes for menu to arrive. No water was serviced....I even saw other table asking for plates. The owner/manager was just sitting and didn't help with other customers. After waiting for 10 minutes, we just left. Worst service ever.

Great lunch

Not your Mother's Korean BBQ
July 10, 2013We love Korean food, but have never had such delicious dishes. This is Korean fine dining. The chef does an amazing job with layers of flavor and texture. The prices are reasonable and the cuisine is approachable. Don't miss this gem in downtown!

March 30, 2013We frequently go to Soban for the lunch special. It's $14 for kimchi, b-bop, and 4 korean savoury pancakes. We are vegetarian and it's no problem for them to accommodate our diet. So delicious and unique
November 10, 2012I wish I had found this restaurant sooner. The food is unique, delicious and healthy. I am vegetarian but my partner is not... there was ample choice for both of us. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and the prices are very affordable. The service was excellent too! I will be back often.

Superb in every way
November 09, 2012The food was delicous. The service was excellent .. The ambiance is warm and friendly. The way you can substitute and change dishes was amazing...I have food allergies and they took special attention to explain what was in each dish... Everything was fresh and just made.. Great family owned Korean restaurant

Try the korean taco, the Kimchi, the soups..actually try everything. This Korean bistrot is one of those hidden gems that shouldn t stay hidden for too long.
The "Bebop" sizzeler is also very highly recommended.
The service is very good, the owners are passionate about their food and will answer your questions and share their receipe. It s a must...

Cozy atmosphere, delicious and unique dishes made with love and tradition. We ordered three different dishes and were all impressed with clarity of taste!
We cook with spices and flavor and this little family restaurant is exceptional.
Very affordable. The chef stops by with a word or two - very nice touch!

Healthy, delicious cousine
September 20, 2012I got the sampler plate and it was so good! Especially the vegetarian Binday Tok (Mung Bean Pancake). It can be hard to find healthy places to eat out so I was super pleased to discover Soban! Really nice atmosphere as well! A new favourite!

Excellent Korean Bistro
September 16, 2012Friendly service, quick and well presented food. Chef came out halfway through our lunch to make sure we were happy with the food. Had their "Soban Taco" and B-Bop (Bibimbop) and both were really good. Fresh ingredients, very tasty and good value for the money.
