Every time I visit the Fox I find something new on the menu that is just as delicious as the last thing. With tons of Picaroons on tap they support local microbrew. Service is outstanding. Keep it up.
The food here is so good, especially the appetizer platter with the fried pepperoni. In the summer, the rooftop patio is really nice and cozy.
Vibe- Dark wood floors/tables/booths and dimly lit. Very cozy and appealing. Booths in the front by the bar and lots of tables in the back for additional seating. Fireplace in the back gives a great vibe in the winter. Rooftop patio for the summer!
Quality- Beer is always cold and flavourful. No apparent issues with taplines. One thing I really love about this place is that they serve beer in...

Everything perfect from the service to the food. The ribs are the best I've ever eaten and being from the south I've eaten a lot. Like others said the outside of the business may not look like much but once you step inside its fine. You can't go wrong with this place.
Decided to try this place after reading the reviews on this site. Very fast service, appealing menu with typical pub fare. I had the Shepard's Pie and my husband had the ribs. My plate was really good, served with gravy and I've never had gravy on my Shepard's pie before but it was creamy and quite tasty. My husband LOVED his ribs. I sneaked a taste of his sauce and was incredible. He said they... more
The Snooty Fox, perhaps one of the only places you'll be able to find the" Fox Tail" Picaroons beer. Which I might add is quite satisfying. The place is a pub no question about it, it is often very busy and the TV's are perhaps to loud during the evening. If your looking for a good conversation over drinks perhaps not the best place. But if you want to watch the game and have a cold one there... more
Very Impressed with the food. Me and my boyfriend went to the Snooty Fox for Valentines day Dinner. This was our first visit to the restaurant. The place was busy, but the staff very attentive. They even had a fun extra Valentine days menu. Off of which I ordered there Stuffed Mushrooms. They were stuffed with a onion cream sauce, and wrapped in bacon. They were to die for! I wanted more. But... more
You can't go wrong with Snooty! The food is consistent and always so good! I especially love the roasted vegetable sandwich and the calamari. They are second to none! The service is friendly and its a great place to grab a drink and sit at the bar or go to with groups.
Food was okay. Poor value - for three people, no drinks (hard or soft) the bill was $73 before gratuity which is steep for very average pub food. Biggest complaint is up-charges (which were not explained). Quesadillas which were on the menu for $11.99 became $18.97 once chicken and sweet potato fries were added. Are you kidding me! Won't go back.
The Snooty Fox is awesome! The BBQ chicken nachos are by far the best nachos I have tried in my life. The prices are good for the amount of food that you get, the service is usually quite quick, and I've never had a server who wasn't friendly. If you go for half-price apps on Wednesday nights, I suggest giving the roasted red pepper dip a try!
Highly recommend going on half price app night! All the apps are very tasty and cheap. Large portions and yes.. The BBQ chicken nachos
First night in Freddy we came upon this place and my boyfriend had heard the food was pretty good, so we decided to try it out. His friends were right and the food was pretty good. Had the bacon cheeseburger bombs to start, he had the taco salad and i the snooty spinach salad. Very very good for pub food,... more
The atmosphere was pleasant and intimate, our server was very attentive and the food was very good! My son insists that we return any time we have a reason to celebrate an occasion and I believe that is an excellent idea! Cheers! PS: have been here several times and always return and is an awesome place to have a pint... more
The food was a little late and came out cold. I got a spicy burger and my wife got lamb stew. The burger was pretty good, but was a little too greasy. It did not need the banana peppers to be fried. Otherwise a good burger. Have fun trying to take the first few bites though. My wife got the... more
The spicy burger was goos but a little more greasy than necessary. The banana peppers would habe been great grilled instead of deep fried. The lamb stew was very good but quite cold. Overall good not great.
They have a great deck and excellent service and selection. I've never been disappointed here, and always try and recommend it to others.
Typical pub fair....a few cool things like the Duke Rolls..but mostly deep fried stuff. The rooftop bar is lovely in the summer.
Went with friends. Had a chicken BLT with a ceasar salad. Salad was very good and the sandwich was excellent. The chicken consisted of an entire chicken breast. Very generous. Service was good and food was delivered in a timely manner. I would eat there again.
Best hole in the wall in Fredericton, definitely somewhere I go every time we travel through. Awesome roof top patio, a great place to grab some drinks and some food at a traditional maritime pub.
I stopped in here after a failed attempt to find the Garrison District Ale House. I guess it burned down a while ago. Anyhow. Warm dark wood dimly lit and surprisingly busy on a Wednesday night. 28 or so tap lines with a mix of Canadian macros Guinness Stella and a nice selection of micros I'd never tried. Typical pub food, but done quite well, I quite enjoyed the burger I had. The busy guy... more
Prices were about what I expected to pay, we went on Burger Night (which we didn't know before we got there). I have to say, I never expect much from a veggie burger (I got the Self Loathing Moralist), especially at a pub-type place, but it was absolutely fantastic. Large portion sizes, I couldn't finish the whole burger and fries.... more
Standard low end pub food but without the low end price. We went for lunch so I cannot judge it as a late night wing and nacho joint, although I'm sure this is the area in which they excel. I had the fish tacos and the fish in them was scarce to say the least. Maybe two small pieces I... more
Snooty seriously has the best nachos ever, especially if you like pickles and feta, they are incredible. Their rooftop deck is great in the summer, especially with a drink, some friends, and some sunshine. Great spot!
I have been to Snooty more times than I can count over the years and although I always enjoy it, it's not the first place I think of when I want to go out. Mostly because of the location (parking near isn't easy) and the dark atmosphere inside. The menu is good and has lots of variety to choose from... more
Very good pub fare - the wings and ribs combo is a must. Would also recommend the maple curried chicken salad. On a hot humid night, the great air conditioning was very welcome! Our server was very helpful.
I love this restaurant/pub.The bar is available IF you are caught waiting for your table to become free and the wait staff are so friendly and fun! The booths are created for privacy,if you wish and the food is excellent.Servings are great sized for the money you pay and food arrives quickly and pleasantly presented on attractive dishes.I highly recommend... more
This is a must eat at location for me every time I'm in Fredericton. Great food and friendly staff. Their roasted red pepper dip is worth every penny.
Admittedly the Snooty Fox caters to a younger demographic but we were made to feel welcome in any event. (We were probably the only patrons not carded :)). Food was standard pub grub, a little heavy on the gravy for the stew but the wings were good. Service was good for a busy Saturday night. Would go back on a... more
Great selection of beers and other drinks on tap as expected form a good pub. Atmosphere was very loud and it was clear this is a local haunt for college students and folks out for a few drinks and some laughs. Food was just okay and was served in quite possibly the fastest time I have ever seen in any... more
Total bill for 2 people was $60.
Included 2 lunch specials, nachos, and 4 drinks. Value would be good if the food was tolerable.
Chicken nachos contained about a half portion and presentation looked like it was put together who really didn't care at all. All the toppings in one spot, not layered, and chicken was fake rubbery type chicken....

The thing I love the most here the taps. Some were very special such as blueberry beer. The food was nice. And the ambience was fun.
the two future sons in law and a few of their friends had a very enjoyable couple of hours at the bar at the Snooty Fox a few weeks ago, I am a beer drinker by trade and I really enjoy bars that have a nice selection of beers that I can sample and this bar has a great selection... more
I've only been here for drinks and wings ... Twice a year for the past 4 years when I travel for business from California. Bartenders are great, awesome pour and great prices. I love their wings and I can never resist ordering wings when it's on the menu. I would recommend honey garlic or if u dare, a side of suicide to dip when u want that kick .
Very disappointed with the food. Cheese on poutin wasn't melted, ribs were rather tough and grisly. For the money I expected back ribs but got lower quality side ribs. Fries weren't bad though
Bag for your buck it is awesome , food is good , Sevice is always good .Great pub food . My faverate is the wings ,
The snooty fox has the most amazing food. It ranges from their famous BBq chicken nachos which are absolutely phenominal, to their Cheeseburger bombs also amazing to quesadillas to Wings!! There is everything imaginable on the menu and EVERYTHING is delicious. It has such a unique space, and they also have a nice selection of cocktails and drinks. If you... more
We have dined at this wonderful restaurant many times. Each time the food is superb (excellent menu), the atmosphere excellent and the staff are just the best. Always look forward to returning.
I go to fredericton often, and when I get a chance to go out and eat my fiends and I love coming here. It has such an up beat atmosphere but yet chill at the same time. The food has always been good too. I recommend the Duke rolls.
The food was great the atmosphere was even better with a group of 8 but when I received my bill with a automatic 15% added I was a bit shocked. I have always tipped well depending on the service been a 15 - 20%. With the place packed on Friday night do they that greedy? When the waitress explained that... more
Went to snooty fox on a recommendation from our B&b hosts. The outside and decor are a bit deceiving. It looks like a fox and the fiddle but the food and local brew was really phenomenal. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
I have been enjoying their pub fare close to 10 years and have yet to be disappointed. The nachos, kettle chips, boneless wings, and roasted red pepper dip are my favourites.
The drinks are good, the atmosphere is great wether you are rocking a booth in the front or people watching in the back room. Another plus for me is...

I had the chicken nachos with bbq sauce and dill pickles. Those are the best I've had. I recommend this place for some good food.
Had the opportunity to eat here recently. The place was busy but we were seated quite quickly. They have a good selection of beers on tap. The meal was quite good as we both enjoyed. Would definitely go back again
The Snotty Fox is located down town, inside it's a pub enviroment with excellent food. There is a wide selection of beer and i havent had anything i dident like on the menu. This is one of our favorite places to eat.
At this restaurant it is normal to sit with no initial service or an empty glass. Once, the waitress tossed the glass at my table, she was in such a hurry to get more drinks at the bar. She didn't set the glass on the table, she slid/slammed it on the run. It splashed. She was extremely rude and is... more
A decent pub. The food is pretty good, they have beer specials like anywhere else, and the staff is pretty friendly. The only drawback is that sometimes if something happens with staffing or if it gets really busy they have a tendency to go a very long time without coming to your table (I once waited a whole hour.) Other than that, solid place.
It is our favorite place to go down town to eat. We love the pub feeling and the food is great. Prices are good. I recommend the ribs and wings. It can get a little crowded if you are in the back, it is a small place.
Typical pub food but served poorly. I've had nachos that had cheese still not melted on them, a burger that had no flavor and a bartender who spills my drink on my plate and didn't offer another drink, any other food or a discount of any of my meal.
Started going to the snooty back in university and is one of my favourite places to meet up with old friends whenever I am visiting Fredericton.
Good food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff. The buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries are a guilty pleasure.
The pulled pork lunch special was nothing special - just ok. Service was friendly and fast. Beer was cold.... more
Excellent Caesar salad. Best I think I've ever had! The Caesar dressing is homemade and comes with lemon. Tangy, very garlicky and delicious!!
The atmosphere was lovely, friendly service and the Maple Curry Chicken Salad - delicious and 2 thumbs up!
get the duke of charlton. best pulled pork sandwich on the go.
Try the local Picroons beer. The bitter is great!
Food was great and the waiters fun and attentive. Busy spot. Certainly would recommend to others. Been going there for years.
We stopped in for a beverage and snack with the kids. It was quiet before the dinner/evening rush. They had a wide selection of beers which my husband likes and very accommodating with kids meals to add salad instead of fries. Has atmosphere and friendly staff. Nothing Snooty about this pub! :)
Been there 3 times now during a business trip. Students are coming back to Fredericton next week so I recommend making a reservation. Love their chicken goat cheese sandwich, the artichoke spinach dip, and the spinach salad! Service is nice. Love their patio!
This is a popular place and with good reason - the food is good, portions generous and prices are low. The atmosphere is great and service fast and food served with a smile. If you enjoy pub food, this is a great choice for dinner in Fredricton. Check out the roof patio too in summer time!
I have been here several times and the food is great. I highly recommend the burgers. Space is a little tight, but not so bad you feel like a stranger is sitting on your lap.
I've eaten here a number of times and I find it hit or miss. I get the impression that its standards have slipped a bit but they're trying to get it back on track.
The things they do well, they do really well. The last time I was there I had a pulled pork sandwich called The Duke of Charleton, which was delicious.
The time before that, however, was a lunch order of the butter chicken. The...

Great place for a Beer and a Burger
Good choice of Beers. Traditional Pub food
Service was friendly.Good place to meet with friends
The food was adequate, but do not expect a pub in any traditional sense. The music was bad and the food was average. What passed as iced tea was wretched. I would never go back.
What can I say? Great food, great service, great beer selection, friendly people, outstanding seating, a rooftop patio, good tunes playing. This place is a huge WIN.
I just want to let people know this restaurant has the best Nachos in town and probably one of the best I have ever had. The pickles and Feta are perfect... the salsa is almost like a sweet salsa and very good.
this was previously a top pick for myself when dining out. however it has been 2 years since the last time i ate inside rather than on the patio.

I came here because it was the highest rated restaurant in Fredericton. I had read multiple reviews that raved about the BBQ chicken nachos.

We sampled their beers too and suggest you do the same. Lots of... more
We had this restaurant recommended by the clerk at our hotel. We brought in a group of 4 on a Saturday night and were seated without problem. Your experience may vary. It also included red onion, 1/2 hard boiled egg,... more
Snooty Fox has a great selection of British pub food, and a great pub atmosphere. It's one of the best places in town to get a drink with friends and enjoy some appetizers or a full meal. Not the best place for health food, but if you are looking for a lamb stew, they are worth checking out!
I took my daughter and son in law out for mid afternoon lunch (around 3 pm). My husband was to this restaurant for drinks with colleagues before so I decided to take the kids here for late lunch.

I go to the Snooty Fox regularly with friends for a casual night out, their wings are awesome as well as the rest of their pub fare. Wing night is busy, but the staff is really quick and the service is great.
Having only been a few times, when in town visiting family, I enjoyed it. A little crowded and loud (in true tavern style), but with a nice warm atmosphere- not the typical dirty floor, spilled beer feeling.
The nachos were great and the beer selection was nice too.
Overall, all of our meals were delicious and does warrant returning.
My wife and I had met a couple friends here for dinner before heading to the theatre around 5:30. When we got there the place was packed, and people were lining up at the door to be seated, luckily for us we had a reservation (highly recommend doing it if attending on the weekend). While waiting for the others to arrive, we ordered drinks which were quick to arrive. Once we were all there, the... more
I frequent Snooty Fox a few times a month and have yet to have a bad experience. Extremely friendly service, quaint and personal atmosphere, excellent bartenders making specialty drinks and the BBQ Chicken Nachos are THE BEST!
OMG this place was fantastic! I was in town on business and a group of us went there after work.... it's a hard life of eating on the go every day and when it comes down to it, you really crave some much needed vegetables before the scurvy kicks in..... I felt that way until I saw the BBQ Chicken Nachoes... the key to the success of these are the pickles - whoever came up with the idea of a bed... more
Don't be fooled by the name, there's nothing Snooty (snotty) about this fox :) The Snooty Fox has done nothing but serve up some good food and nice customer service for us. If they are running a special, order that, it's always good. The... more
I can't understand why my AAA guide completely ignored Snooty Fox. Their loss, as well as the loss for folks who rely only on their recommendations.
Perhaps a snicker for American beer enthusiasts - right after we were seated, our waiter told us, very exuberantly, about the new beer selection they had, Shock Top. After we snickered for a few moments ourselves, we explained we were Americans...

Stopped in here for dinner one evening on the road during a 16 hour cross-country drive. Wasn't super busy (8:00 on a Tuesday night) and were greeted with menus promptly. When asking my husband the rating we should put:
"5 stars?" say I
"For Snooty Fox??! Hell ya!!" replied he
Friendly staff-
Prompt service-
and the Duke was a hit with the entire table...yum!
Great drinks and superb flavors! The crowd seemed to enjoy themselves too! Don't know when we'll make it up there again, but would go out of our way to have that dining experience recreated!
Great staff, great atmosphere and great food! The chowder is on par with what you can expect from Boston or New York. The ribs are good (not as good as traditional BBQ fare from the Southern states, but certainly worth trying). I look forward to another visit to my favorite spot in Fredericton.
Having started my trip in Portland, Maine to see George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic play a great show, and celebrate my friends birthday, stopping for two nights in Denver and Boulder, and then driving another 1200 miles to South Lake Tahoe, California to go skiing for the first time and celebrate two more birthdays, the last place I pictured myself to be eating ribs was 5 hours north of... more
