On a rainy tuesday night, we were the only clients there, along with one other table. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Service speed was good, but it would have been difficult to justify slow or poor service with only a few patrons.
The food was very good overall. Entrees of foie gras, panaché salad and the daily potage...

Much better food than it used to be
Had fish and scallops was great
Table outside in the terrace was great
The restaurant is also reviewed on Trip Advisor as Restaurant Sinclair, if you'd like additional input from others...same place. It's part of the St. Sulpice boutique hotel.
The only enjoyable part of our evening was the food. It wasn't outstanding, but it was good. The beef tartare, the rack of lamb and the desserts were particularly enjoyable. The mushroom risotto...

Second attempt with this restaurant...food, service & management ALL HORRIBLE. What a way to ruin Mother's Day for 3 moms. I made resos a week in advance, they call the night before to cancel..THE NIGHT BEFORE. So we scramble to find another place on Open Table..Sinclair has openings! So we book again (only because no where else had availability). We... plus
I gave this place two chances. Went for dinner not long after it opened and left quite disappointed. Nothing special about the food plus there was no atmosphere.
I went again last Sunday for brunch and this time it was even worse. My friend ordered the Canadian breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.) and it came without toasts. He asked the...

It was stupendously underwhelming. I ordered the Canadian Breakfast which was described as Two eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Quebec Pate and Potatoes. There was no pate and only one sausage.
The cold Continental breakfast was lacking as well. If you are staying at the hotel find someplace else to eat!
A promising menu but the execution is lacking. The restaurant tries to be like a five star with the offer of an amuse bouche and a mignardise but these fall very short of the mark. The plating is uninspired but worse is that the food lacks seasoning. It is bland and you cant find a waiter to bring you salt... plus
Great food and selections!! The staff was great and the presentations were cool....The atmospehere was cozy as well!!
Beef filet was amazing and the service fantastic. We strongly recommend this restaurant and we will probably come back next year
The Terrasse is particularly nice in a summer evening. The food was very good but I would have liked more choice on the menu. The tenderloin was really good. Service was excellent - friendly, professional but not intrusive. My first time and I will try it again.
Share this great dish with my wife. Beef was perfectly cooked, sauce was great and sides were simple and tasty. Fans of tenderloin, you must check it out !!! In the heart of Old-Montreal, well located. Staff was very professional. The terrasse is beautiful.
Sat outside on the patio for a Friday night dinner. The service was wonderful and the guests reserved and local. The only down side was the table beside ours; two women who kept popping up to complain to the manager and outdoor chef about their food. I asked the waiter at the end and he said the same oysters that... plus
We decided to try Sinclair in Old Montreal and what a fabulous find it was. The food is inventive and absolutely fantastic. The pickled clams were amazing and the trout melted in my mouth. It was an amazing experience.
Excellent fish, cooked au point.
Chief waiter, amazing service!!
