what great service
August 04, 2014Didn't know what to expect but I was blown away with the servers and their attention to detail and allowing change within their menu. They were busy and the chef went above and beyond. Go visit.

Nice Atmosphere
July 07, 2014I really like the atmosphere and feel of Sideways. It is a nice gathering place after work. My only negative comment is that I do not like the chairs...at all. Not comfortable for anyone with any type of back issue or disability. Too high and too uncomfortable. Good for short visits after work..

Nice Neighborhood Gathering Place

This waterfront restaurant has a menu full of yumminess! Nachos with wontons, poutine of all sorts, flatbread pizza, burgers, pasta & more! You have to try the Sideways salad...SO GOOD! The atmosphere is cozy & welcoming. We have had lunch, dinner & drinks here & it's always a good time with great food & service.

First time here - Very Impressed
March 29, 2014My wife and I dropped in to try this place out on Saturday for the first time -Wow we were very impressed. Great atmosphere, clean, very friendly service and outstanding food. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend trying this place and will definitely be back.

Very Disappointing

Overpriced; lack-lustre service

Love the decor.... cozy, old school brick wall look... that hip downtown old building feel. Wish there was more places like this!
Whoever invented the gourmet poutine is a genius! Its a meal all in itself. The burger is also great. Don't let the kinda high price tag scare you, you will get your money's worth on these two ordinary...

Warm atmosphere and good food
December 06, 2013We enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner. The staff were very attentive, fun and helpful. We enjoyed the food, especially the squash soup....probably the best we've ever eaten! Our only criticism would be about the noise. The brick walls and several large TV's contribute to the loudness....but it is a lounge and we should not expect quiet dining. We will definitely return.

Disappointing

Chairs - super uncomfortable. Waitress had a terrible memory and on top of that was not attentive.
Food - breaded fish soggy on one end and burnt on the other.
Thank goodness for the Caesar salad which was actually edible. Won't return.

Best wings around
September 06, 2012I have gone to Sideways many, many times, both with friends and with colleagues. The food is fantastic. I have yet to be let down by anything I've tried. Especially the wings. So many different and great flavors! My favorite restaurant in the downtown area for sure! I highly recommend it!
