Share has the friendly, tapas-style, affordable neighbourhood eatery concept down pat.
The name has changed as has the partnership. With Geoff, the shy chef as the star of the show, a silent partner allowing Geoff's food and Erin (sp?), the GM to run the place, you no longer see the old drinking buddies of the previous partner hanging around the TV and bar. We stopped going to Share because of that.... more
You find a new place, have a very good experience, and are a bit afraid that it might have been a fluke, so you hold your praise, try it again, and it seems just maybe, you might have found a real gem. This describes Share. We have been a dozen times and the experience has been an 8.5 - 9.5/10 every time. Very nice ambience, good price point (actualy very good for the level of expertise this... more
In a city with amazing restaurants I could still eat eat here every day.
had a great dinner! ordered the affettati misti (chef's selection of assorted salumi, imported cheeses, marinated olives & roasted vegetables) as an app. did not care for everything on the platter but that is simply a matter of taste. the presentation was beautiful. ordered the bolzano and white pizzas for dinner. the bolzano crust was a bit burned in areas but still good. the white pizza was... more
A group of co-workers in New Orleans on the first night of 8 needed a quick bite. We found this great place on the web (MDW found it for me). Different types of Pizza for multiple tastes and managable portions for everybody to have alone or even share. the Meat and Cheesee sampler board was fantastic. You can order 3,5 7 items to accent your main or complement it.We had a 5, including the soft... more
Very nice. Love the meat and cheese plate, stratshi (sp), pizza and wine.
John Besh gives so much back; loved the fab treats; great little gift. Thank you for our delicious pizza in NOLA. We traveled from Fort Polk in terrible traffic, missed our seating; and still had an opportunity to enjoy ourselves. Can't wait to visit our next Besh establishment. God bless and happy holidays! Thanks again,
Had a great time! The wait staff was helpful, prompt and friendly and the pizzas were excellent. I hope to go back soon to try the other menu items. I've had the roasted cauliflower for an appetizer, which is excellent but haven't tried the other menu items because the pizza is so good that I order it every time I go. The Hotel was decorated for Christmas and was breathtaking. The ambiance of... more
I've been a couple of times and once was with a large group where we ordered family style and shared the majority of the items on the menu. Everything was delicious! The seasonal appetizers - friend squash blossoms and fried kale - were out of this world and the ever present roasted cauliflower was incredible. My two favorites from the main menu were the squid ink pasta and the carrot pizza -... more
Domenica is a very lively place to meet up for after work drinks or an informal meal. In our small group we had the Quattro Formaggio pizza and the Wood Fired eggplant. The pizza was good, not earthshaking but very good and properly cooked. The wood fired eggplant was a total surprise. It was one of the simplest and most delicious dishes I have had in a very long time. I would go back just for... more
Went in for Thanksgiving dinner and had the 4 course prix fix. I made reservations about a week in advance and had been looking forwards to my first Thanksgiving in a restaurant. Was not disappointed. Great service, fun atmosphere, outstanding dinner!
We were expecting a simple regular Italian but it turned to be a wonderful experience. The food was exquisite. We had the plate of cheese and salamis for starters, they were served with many different types of delicious bread. The pasta were cooked perfectly and the desserts were delicious. At the end, we were given a little thank you box with delicious chocolate cookies.
We will be back for sure!
This place has a really high-end menu with lots of items that I'd never dream of attempting to cook at home. The wine list is impressive and they don't appear to be marking up the wine prices too much. The restaurant is embedded into the Roosevelt Hotel, which has a spectacularly breathtaking, but gaudy, lobby from the 1920s. The menu is mostly Italian, but with some Sephardi Jewish/Israeli... more
Great food great service and great location. Best at Christmas time to walk around the hotel lobby
Great food, excellent service, moderately priced, within walking distance of Saenger Theater, Joy Theater, French Quarter. Located in one of the most beautiful hotels in New Orleans. It has it ALL! If I didn't live 90 minutes away, I would go much more often.
Saturday lunch before a show at the Saenger - Luke was the perfect choice on a cool, blustery day. The minestrone soup was totally unexpected (and delicious!) with fresh favors of watermelon radish and dill. Trying to keep it light, I chose an appetizer for my main course: OMG - the mushroom ragout with marrow butter on toast was Incredibly rich and luscious, but NOT light. In any case, I ate... more
Probably good for pizza, but we ordered from a special Thanksgiving/Hanukkah menu. Really the food was good but the place felt cold. This is a problem with many hotel restaurants. You always know when you are in one. The Roosevelt Hotel has a very impressive lobby, and the Sazerac Bar there is classic. Not so with Domenica though.
Octopus salad was awesome. All else good too!!
The service was very good. I recommend making reservations. We requested an off the menu item (white anchovies in olive oil) and the chief was very accommodating. We also ordered the octopus carpaccio and hedgehog mushrooms for our appetizers, all were excellent. For our entrees we ordered the Squid Ink Tagliolini, Stacci and the Bolzano pizza; all very good. The Stacci (oxtail and chicken... more
Pizza was the only thing we didn't try and I'm sorry. We love John Besh and am amazed that the food was so poor. We each had something different (4 of us) and no one had something we liked. Waiter was very busy so he was rushed and difficult to find. Just thought he had too many tables.
Found myself in New Orleans over Thanksgiving without a plan so I went to Dominica and sat at the bar. Couldn't have had a better solo Thanksgiving lunch! Very friendly, good sweet bartender. Also the food was perfect. (Nothing iike burrata, squid ink pasta and a glass of red for Thanksgiving dinner!) It was a nice alternative to a big dinner with a bunch of people, overdosing on gravy and... more
This is the restaurant that my wife and I went to on our honeymoon weekend. We just made one year and went there fir dinner. It was a great experience both times. Cant wait to go back.
Domenica is always a fun place to go but the half off happy hour prices are fantastic. I love the holidays at the Roosevelt and it was the perfect day to walk through the lobby and grab a late lunch. Everything was wonderful: wine, pizza, cauliflower, and afatati misti. Chef Alon was out in the main dining area and stopped by to say hello.
Excellent pizzas. The Cauliflower dish is out of this world
Overpriced, noisy, overrated. Doesn't really fit in the Roosevelt hotel.
The service and food are excellent and on point. I have dined here several times for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed the experience every time. Would definitely go back for lunch. Love love love the roasted cauliflower and goat/feta dip. My FAV on the menu.
efficient, friendly, attentive service from Will; a very professional and personable waiter.
Our waiter really knew the menu and dish ingredients. His recommendations were spot on. I like pizza with a thinner, crispier crust, but the flavor of our pie was outstanding. We also had a delicious redfish plate and 2 members of our group completely enjoyed the lasagna bolognese. The semifreddo dessert was a real treat.
Food was very good. I wish I could have sampled more of the pizzas in a group.
Went pre Saints game, having been many many times before. This time, though, wasn't with a man and had a child with me. Sadly, my waiter obviously thought that meant I should get no attention at all. He literally didn't even bring us plates, or sweetener for our coffee. Such bad service, and tables right next to us were treated well. It was an awful experience and very embarrassing for me as I... more
Not only was the food great, but the restaurant environment and the waitress added to the overall wonderful experience at Domenica. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to enjoy great food! When you visit Domenica, please try the roasted cauliflower with feta goat cheese. You will be delighted with the great taste of this appetizer.
The top pizza in the CBD. The appetizers are wonderful. Everything first rate. Hope they have a Hanukkah meal this year.
Chef takes traditional foods and makes them eclectic masterpieces. Food was A+ from gator to pork to reddish to dessert
Great for dinner prior to going to a concert or event, since it is near a major theater. The restaurant has a variety of food choices; some are unusual but very tasty. The service was excellent, and we were able to leave on time to attend a concert nearby.
Came @ 5:15 on Mon & took advantage of weekday specials. Great service & enjoyed 1/2 price margherita pizza very much-only $3.25 ea for 1/2 a pizza-what a deal! Banana dessert was delicious & I'm not even a big banana fan! Didn't care for peach bellini due to strong bitter flavor but my friend enjoyed 2 pomegranate bellinis at 1/2 price. Server was good enough to ask if we wanted a 2nd pizza... more
My husband and I split a pizza. He had the lamb meatballs on his and I had the mushroom with yard egg. Both of us loved it. I had been reading the reviews and knew service here was an issue with several patrons. I must say they were right, our waiter, Will was only adequate -- did what he had to and nothing extra and was very unfriendly.
Had a great time at Domeica's. Went for the happy hour with one-half off pizzas and drinks. Enjoyed three different pizzas all done to perfection - Carne Tutti (sp?), spicy pork and wild mushrooms. Also tried two of the specially offered appetizers - pork belly excellent and red fish collars - very good and different. Wines by the glass were also very good. At our table we tried the pinot... more
Wonderful experience! Recommend roasted cauliflower appetizer. We had tickets to the Saenger and the staff did a great job of communicating excellent food choices and efficiently taking care of us and sending us on our way in time to see the show. We will be back.
Not your run of the mill Italian. Pizza was excellent , out of the world crust. Pasta perfectly cooked. Fish melted in your mouth. Octopus appetizer was sublime. Went for dinner, and two days later came back for lunch and loved it as much
Domenica never disappoints. The atmosphere is fun and you cannot beat the Happy Hour specials. The pizzas are the best in the city and the drinks are creative.
Had lunch there. Food was very nice and different, not the "usual Italian" (whatever that means, considering how heterogenous true Italian really is!) -- exotic and eclectic, that is. Very interesting the roasted cawliflower as as appetizer, loved the rabbit and porcini pasta and the "black tagliolini" with squid ink and crab meat. Unlike most reports of it being noisy, at lunch it was rather... more
I wanted to visit a John Besh restaurant and was pleasantly surprised that Happy Hour is everyday from 3-6 in the entire restaurant. I had a great pizza, salad and 1/2 price beer. The couple seated next to me were regulars and very friendly. They told us about their favorites. Fun place to go and very reasonably priced.
Without a doubt, the best Besh stop. Squid Ink pasta is fantastic. Chanterelle appetizer is to die for.
Loved the surprising, imaginative combinations offered. Everything we ate was scrumptious. Only wish we lived there to be able to try all items on the menu. Squid ink pasta with seafood was excellent. Their fried kale was the best and crispiest we have ever found anywhere.Server was excellent. Professional, warm, and attentive. Nice to have great wine by the glass at half price during happy hour.
Since I discovered that Domenica has half price pizza and cocktails between 3 and 6pm every day, I have visited weekly. The pizzas are inventive, gourmet creations. I recommend the roasted carrot (beets, brussel sprouts, and hazelnuts - yum!). The ambiance is classy without being formal or stuffy, and the servers are top notch. If you haven't been to Domenica, get down there! But be sure to... more
Food was both amazing and plentiful, and happy hour specials made the meal downright cheap. The service was very slow, but this may have been a fluke--other tables that sat down after us had their food served before we got ours. I would normally be more annoyed by that sort of thing, but the quality of everything really outweighed that negative. We'll definitely be back, and are making this our... more
They serve primarily Italian countryside cuisine, but offer g-free pasta! It is only one type of g-free noodle, but that is awesome! The waitress also suggested a g-free appetizer that is not on the lunch menu for us, that the kitchen would make for us. It was a delicious meal and I felt great being able to enjoy pasta again!
We had a group of 10 for a birthday early dinner - we made sure to make our reservations during the happy hour. Was absolutely fantastic!! We ordered multiple pizzas and had wine. I would definitely recommend this to friends. Great service, great food. Happy, happy, happy.
Great place to eat before going to the Saenger Theater!
I love this place every time I'm in White Rock I go. It's got a great wine list with lots of B.C vintages. The menu is super well thought out and full of local ingredients. The highlight for me was the Romaine and Gorgonzola Salad and the Braised Short Rib, well seasoned and really tasty, if the chef is offering... more
We have been going to this gem of a local tapas bar off and on for about a year and have always had a great meal. The menu has its staples such as its iceberg lettuce with artichoke and olives with a signature dressing (to die for) and the apple and cheese bruschetta (with an added kick of gorgonzola) They... more
This is one of my girlfriend and I's favourite Friday night spots. We always enjoy winding down the work week with some of the delicious plates and wines here.
We do our best to try out different dishes and wines each time we're here, but I have to admit we've gotten the bruschetta with tomato and aged cheddar and the...

We visited this restaurant 1-2 years ago and while the maitre d' and cook seemed crass as many other reviewers have mentioned - my memories of the food were good so we ventured in again. Since our last visit, the temperament of the restaurant's leading men has not improved and now they seem to be committing culinary suicide as they serve a menu that has become dated and lost its savour. The mac... more
We ate here 2 years ago and it was wonderful. In the interim the food has gone straight downhill - overcooked, poorly seasoned and dated. The server was wonderful. The clientele consists of the elderly male cougars who live in the condos upstairs and women in polyester dresses who like them.
The mac and cheese was at the skill level of Kraft Dinner but without the flavor. Our other dishes were even worse except for the sauce on the mussels (nice!). Our server was lovely - certainly the highlight of the evening. The owner/greeter and cook were dodgy. A year ago it seemed like a nice, inclusive place. Tonight it was... more
We have been to Share many times and have always been very impressed with the food. The menu is always inspired, always changing and extraordinary. Although we always go intending to share the food is so good it is difficult to do this. The bruschetta is amazing. And if the Mac and Cheese is on the menu you must indulge
First off, you have not lived until you have tried their triple cheese fondue. Our current menu faves are sirloin with Gorgonzola and truffle oil, bruschetta, porchetta sliders (amazing sauce on these). The chef never disappoints. It's our go-to place at five corners. Friendly staff and clientele. Love it!
My husband and I eat here at least once a week. The menu is always growing and changing, while keeping our favourites on tap. The trout and salmon this summer have been AMAZING! Chef Geoff takes a beautiful piece of fish and combines it with a perfect medley of vegetables, spice and sauce. The bruschetta is the best in town and my husband loves the duck also. A friendly atmosphere is what we... more

I love this place, very friendly staff who know how to make you feel welcome. The chef produces some very different tastes and I like a large majority of them. Be aware this is a friendly happy kind of place and if you wish a quiet holding hands evening this certainly is not it. The menu is changed about every second week and although there are some items that stay on there is usually about 8...

Well. What to say. Lovely little gem at five corners. And the chef does a fantastic job on the food. Fish cooked perfectly and unique twist to old favourites
Went for a first time in a group situation. Restaurant clearly not equipped to handle groups. Male waiter/?manager was rude to many people. Drinks took forever to come and the lamb was over cooked. Was not impressed in any fashion and wouldn't bother going again.
My husband and I participated in the Rotary Club's Wine and Dine evento on April 10. We were served a pork tenderloin with stewed tomatos, chickpeas, creme fraiche and pomagranate seeds. It was an inspired combination. This is the place for foodies. Every menu item is basically an appetizer, the idea is to order a few different items and have... more

My fiancé and I ended up here as we were bored with the usual places and we are really glad we found this place. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. The mac and cheese is to die for. We will definitely be back.
We need more restaurants like this in Surrey and White Rock.
Tried many different items on the menu, everything was A+.
Plates are small and pricey so be careful! If your a girl, its ok, but for a hungry man this may become easily a $200 meal.
Remarkable food! After a dozen or so visits we have determined that this restaurant is our FAVOURITE GO TO eatery for an outstanding meal in White Rock. The experienced chef understands how to create truly delectable and beautiful food. The Mac & Cheese served with Braised Beef Shank, Sirloin, and Truffle oil reminds me of just how wonderful comfort food... more
My husband and I decided to try Share as a departure from Cielo's, our "go to" tapas place. We were pleasantly surprised. We shared the bruschetta and sliders and Mac & cheese. All good. The bruschetta was probably my least fave. What I REALLY appreciated was when I was ordering the chocolate mousse (fantastic by the way) and the waitress suggested the wine stewed cherries be served on the side... more
Awesome food! Best mac n cheese I have ever had. Service was friendly and inviting. Will definitely go back often. Small plates allow an indecisive mind to enjoy all.
great concept included......very impressive menu and wine list with friendly attentive waitress.....the poor execution included close to frozen red wine, a warm salad and huge lag between courses....also the hostile banter and noise between the kitchen and the manager was very distracting and spoiled the ambiance...this would prevent from me from visiting again!
I do like the restaurant, but the chef needs a bit more variety. Although the dishes were good, the restaurant went very overboard on the truffle oil. Out of the five dishes that we had, four of them featured truffle oil as one of the main flavour in the dish. My absolute favourite was the halibut with a beet coulis. Although this dish also featured truffle oil, it was only done in with the... more
I've gone here a few times with my boyfriend and can't WAIT to go back! The menu is always changing and the flavours are so good! Can't go wrong with truffle oil!
After reading all the great reviews on urbanspoon about this restaurant, I decided to try it with my friends. Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about this restaurant, from the food to the service. Not only did our food order get lost after waiting an hour for our tapas, the waitress was unable to correct the error, and we had to wait another 25 minutes to get the first one. This was at... more
So we had heard about Share a lot over the past couple of months a we were dying to try it, but after reading the rip off review we were a bit concerned but figured we had heard so many good things, so off we went. Thank goodness.!! It was amazing, granted the portions aren't huge ( small plate ) but the flavors coming from that tiny kitchen are second to none. We asked our server about the... more
Although the food was good the price was a rip off. I like small portion but 2 scallops; 4 prawns and 1 oz piece of fish for $55.00 between 2 athletic hungry people is not enough.
So glad this restaurant opened up in town. The menu is incredible and the best part - ALWAYS CHANGING! Unlike most of the other great restaurants in White Rock who's menu gets stagnant quickly, the chef here really knows how to cook.
We have been a few times now and love this place. They have an excellent wine list with all wine available by the glass or bottle. The food is superb - last visit I had duck confit with rissotto, my husband had short ribs with Mac and cheese and we shared grilled prawns over poached potatoes. Dessert....best strudel I have EVER had and I understand the chocolate mousse was rich, smooth and... more
