I have been to many yoga studios all over canada for almost 20 years (just sinking in it's been that long!), and semperviva is by far the best! The energy of integrity seems to permeate everywhere, not to mention a variety of classes given by approachable, friendly instructors. I always leave feeling great!

I'm hoping that Vancouver has better studios. Semperviva provides yoga mats for free- while this would seem to be a perk, they are never properly washed or taken care of, and make the entire studio smell like mildew.

Over packed classes and snobby attitude. This place is just not worth it. I've tried it so many times, and never really been pleased with a class. For the same price, Yyoga is 100x better. Sorry.

Best Yoga I've found in Vancouver!
I've tried lots of different types of Yoga but stumbled upon 'Kundalini' at Semperviva last year and it's by far the best mind/body workout I've ever experienced.
Kundalini is a lower shakre focused practice and couples fast cardio movements with slow deep stretching, I don't think it's possible to leave a Kundalini class without feeling changed in some way.

They have a great array of classes, provide mats and towels for those who need, and have very reasonable pricing.

Very community oriented and supportive- this yoga studio is (in my opinion) one of the best that Vancouver has to offer.

K's Tip: Kits location has a absolutely gorgeous retail section with lots of unique pieces.

"New to Yoga" with Maggie was amazing. She is encouraging and helpful. She broke down the different steps to a sun salutation in a way that was easy to understand and doable for beginners (but also challenging!). Overall, I felt very inspired to continue learning yoga.

I worked on Granville Island and never came here because i just wanted to be off the island after spending 8 hours of my day here, but now that i am not working on the Island anymore i can enjoy the subtle things like yoga at Semperviva. Each of the 4 Semperviva Yoga locations has its own feel and character and this Sea studio is by far my favorite. I live in Kitsilano and enjoy walking down to Granville Island, so I am not affected by the occasional parking shortage. The studio space is warm and inviting with a stunning view onto False Creek. The view of the studio is gorgeous - looking out on to False Creek. The studio itself is ok - it's obviously very popular as there are about 50 mats set up in the room. Like the Kits location, they really pack you in.

Every week, I spend an hour and fifteen minutes in this room and for the fleeting moment, I am lost in my world of stretch, breathing, self and forget that about strife, stress and burdens.

This is the best venue for yoga as you can sometimes hear the water, the seagulls and in winter snow, you can see the flakes fall on the water,such gorgeousness, for yoga no venue gets better than this.

I'd seen an ad for Semperviva Yoga on facebook, geared specifically to snowboarders, so I popped my head in when I happened to pass by.
