Nothing terrible to report. I stay here each time I visit Lethbridge as it is one of the nicer properties here. That said, some updating and renovations could go a long way to making it a 4 star. Besides being dated, this property will get my business each time I visit this city.

Have stayed here numerous times for out of town work. Usually for 4-5 days. It's clean, staff are friendly and fast with anything you ask. They continue to upgrade this Lethbridge legacy. It is a very convenient, clean, safe hotel to stay for us. We find the beds very comfortable, well appointed bathrooms, quiet rooms. Not worth half the rate.

Dog hair on the sheets. Bedding in general did not smell fresh. There was no house keeping on duty to rectify the situation, we checked in at 8 p.m. No compensation was offered. Toilet didn't flush properly. Windows don't open all the way. I strongly suggest booking a room at any hotel/motel but this one. Way too expensive for the kind of trashy place it is.

Dirty and rundown

Check in was simple enough, but the elevators smelled like a bad outhouse on a hot day. The front desk staff was very friendly. I'd classify my hotel choice as a "budget decision" to stay there. Price was reasonable. Hotel was older and but fairly clean (not immaculate). They don't provide very much for complimentary services. I asked the front desk for a comb because I forgot my brush but they don't provide things like that.

I don't often do reviews but feel compelled to for this hotel as it did not live up to Sandman expectations. We switched rooms due to location near ice machine but neither room was very clean with obvious dirt/hair in toilets, sinks and tubs! Expected much better. Would not recommend!

Great service, poor rooms

As read in other comments, the hotel rooms are showing it age. We all know that beds are the most integral part of a hotel. However, Sandman's bed are so uncomfortable that it is almost impossible to fall asleep. I most likely will not go to any other Sandman ever again.

Comfortable, Clean, good location

I enjoyed my stay and had a good nights sleep..the hotel was quiet and the location worked for me..to be able to get off the Red Arrow Bus and rent a car. The location was handy to downtown and the major roads I needed to access were close.

Regulars

Most of our staff stay at this hotel and I use Expedia to book it. No complaints from anyone. This hotel is in a great location for business travellers and contains some pretty good features.

Loved the location

The location was perfect...I came to Lethbridge on the Red Arrow, and this was a pickup/drop off point. I also needed to rent a car and the car rental business was located in the hotel...The location was close to downtown and the major travel routes. The hotel room was clean and beds comfortable.

LOVED LOCATION - Only 2 things that did not enjoy!

All basically was great; however, missed not having a hot tub to use after swim in pool. Our only other complaint was that since we are late risers - being retired - we asked for a late check out. However, had housekeeping knocking on our door at 8:30 am and again at 11:00, and they were even telephoning our room - hey, get things together a little better! Thank you!

Lethbridge, near AB-3

This hotel has had one too many lipstick remodels. They could greatly improve the conditions by replacing carpets, some of the furniture and bedding. (Bright Floral bed covers were out of date 20 years ago!!) The hotel is non-smoking, but many guests were smoking in the rooms and the halls smelled like the Legion of yesteryear.

I book this hotel for staff regularly. Pricing is better on Expedia than Corporate. Lots of amenities within the hotel, and location is great for local conferences, events.

Staff were great, room was adequate but the heating system was very noisy. As well the ice machine was right beside our door which provided lots of noise throughout our stay!

The service here was amazing! They were so accommodating for my needs. The biggest problem was my room was freezing cold and the heater had to run all night in order to keep me warm.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights when the temperature at night was -29 Celsius. It is close to all amenities that Lethbridge has to offer not far from the Yellowhead Hightway -the main east/west corridor thru town with connections to Calgary and the USA. I selected this location based upon having stayed at other locations, this location was not comparable. Noise unbearable and questionable safety

This building needs a safety inspection! The windows are sealed shut, there is a single narrow cement stairwell which takes you out to a very small landing. I was in Lethbridge on my way home .I had a terrible night. The beds were very uncomfortable. we asked to chnage the room but they said it was too late. we did order for room service from Dennys,which was quite good. Good hotel in Lethbridge

Was there for my doughters graduation,and the Sandman was in a great spot for this,the Dennys was being worked on whould have been nice to know that, other wise had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

Large, clean, quiet room. Excellent service. Denny's Restaurant on site great for breakfast/lunch.

The hotel was fine. Clean, comfy beds, warm shower, new t.v. Denny's restaurant is attached to the hotel - great for breakfast. The hotel is attached to a strip mall that is undergoing some reno's, so it looked a little messy on the outside with construction type materials, but the hotel was fine. There is also a 7-11 and a great candy store in the strip mall. I would definately stay... more

We would recommend the Sandman Lethbridge as it was very clean and quite. We travelled with a team and we were not all able to book in the same hotel. We felt fortunate to have been able to secure reservations at the Sandman as others complained about their accommodations.

Plumbing Issues - water leaking from above suite.
