This Italian restaurant did not disappoint. The food was fresh and good and the service was great.
The Fettucini Funghi was especially delicious and they had a couple of decent Italian wine choices by the glass as well. What more could you need?
The pasta is always spot on. It's pricey, and the service is a roll of the dice, but the ambiance and food are worth the risk. Think of it as visiting a moody aunt who's a great cook.
The flavours just make your mouth come alive. The pasta is always cooked perfectly. The service is not always 100% but everything else makes up for it. Reasonable prices for higher quality.
My husband and I have dined at Rustica's before and were looking forward to our meals. We started with the insalata di bocconcic, which the menu claims is made with fresh basil (of course). They were out of fresh basil; the tomatoes were doused with dried basil which spoiled the salad and made it gritty. Our main courses were better,... more
Very good Italian Restaurant. Fine dining. Can be pricey. BUT, having said that, we all enjoyed our food, the service, the atmosphere and the experience. Salads were generous and very tasty...priced about $9 to $11. Pasta dishes; spaghetti with ground new york steak and pasta with Italian sauage, priced from $16 to $20 but again very good. Love the sauces.... more
An excellent pasta meal at Rustica's.
Absolutely authentic flavours - not surprised it's an Italian in the kitchen! The home-made bread was also delicious, although not quite so authentic, but went down very well with the bread as we waited for our primo piatto.
Lots of fun, laughter, from all the tables too, the waitress really knows how to hostess!...

We had the mussels - a very inventive sauce of pesto and mustard - really good, and an unusual combination. My wife had the salad, which was nicely presented and excellently done. My salmon was very good, though the portion was a bit small - that's OK - I came away from dinner pleasantly full, but not stuffed. The steak... more
I've been to rusticas almost everytime there's an occasion(birthdays and what not) and every time the food is excellent granted its a bit pricey but its worth it I just love their pasta! Give it a try
The owner is constantly rude , inconsiderate and miserable. She always acts like we are inconveniencing her. In a high end restaurant, with a high end clientele and and posh setting, sometimes it can be expected. But this restaurant is decorated with old table cloths, old wine corks and the room is just a big box with bars on the... more
Craved Tony's ginger curry mussels and wasn't disappointed. Glass of wine, good company, perfect evening. So thankful for this place.
Delicious food, excellent service, and lovely atmosphere. Our favorite place in town for a special "date."
A little bit of authentic Italy in chilliwack, a very intimate and cozy setting.great staff and wine selections.
Very quaint restaurant and the food and service has always been top notch every time we've gone here. One of the top restaurants in Chilliwack and one of the best Italian meals we've ever had.
The food is amazing.. Freshly made and delicious.. The atmosphere is like small Italian bistro.. Candle lite .. Quaint furnishings and beautiful music
It was a very quiet evening so enjoyed excellent attention. Each of us ordered different dishes and then "tasted" They all were absolutely delicious! There is an excellent wine list. We were all most satisfied
Went there for a family birthday dinner, the bill was close to $600. We usually come in a smaller group and spend lots of money. We were all having a great time, nothing bad to say about the food. When we went to leave the server was aware that we had forgotten about the automatic gratuity as we were tipping... more
Delicious authentic Italian meals, attentive and pleasant service, and pleasant Italian atmosphere all made for a great experience.
I went to Rustica's Risrorante with a staff party! I thought the food was delicious...I would go again!
I have been there twice in the past month with guests and everyone enjoyed friendly service and great food. We will all be going there again.
Pleasant atmosphere, great food, well worth dollars spent and will no doubt visit again in the near future
Having read the reviews, I was hoping for a great experience.
My starter of mussels was in a sauce which was tasty, but very over-seasoned, and the mussels were very small. My partner's starter of onion soup was adequate, but nothing out of the ordinary.
When our main courses arrived, my seafood pasta was in basically the same sauce as...

JC's Pasta Creation was zesty and reminded me of home cooking by my mama! The mussels in tomato cream sauce were the best we ever had and have to be tried. Atmosphere is excellent; red-checkered table cloths!
No complaints - food was excellent. Took my son for dinner. He had caesar salad and pesto pasta with shrimp. I had ginger halibut and a tomato basil salad. Was a bit more than I wanted to pay (around $70) but would eat there again.
Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.
My wife and I recently celebrated my birthday over dinner at Rustica's Ristorante. We had heard and read great reviews about this restaurant and were eager to check it out. We started by sharing a Ceasar salad accompanied by the house bread. For main course I ordered the Spagetti Con Polpettine and my wife the Linguine Con Fruite De Mare.... more
Every detail is looked after here. No corner is left without details. The bathrooms are clean and well done. The food.... amazing value for dollar and authentic desirable flavours. Small, quaint, and family operated. This place knocked my socks off, and I'm usually a hard judge of restaurants.
This restaurant is excellent. We went there for the first time and we were very impressed. The chef really knows how to
Prepare food. Service was excellent. Highly recommend for a enjoyable dinning experence
We've lived in Chilliwack for 6 years and have never tried this restaurant......Tried it for the first time and were super impressed. Our waitress, Savannah, had excellent serving skills. My husband had the steak and I had the prawn pasta and both were delicious. The mussels we had for an appetizer were great too. The wine selection is not extensive... more
Just got back from Rustica's Ristorante For my husband's 50th birthday and what a bad experience!! The food was pretty good the waitress/owner awful! First of all she was very curt and made you feel Uncomfortable. It was pretty warm in there and we Asked her to turn the air conditioning on. She sighed and said "What's wrong with you... more
Good food. Ambiance - there isn't really any. It's just a big room with tables. Food is good, but very pricy for "spaghetti"; I don't care how you make it... it's still spaghetti.
We were invited by family members to meet them here for dinner. Located in the "downtown" area there is plenty of free parking. This Italian restaurant is is decorated in muted modern style with the obligatory red and white checkered table cloths and subdued lighting. Italian back ground music plays softly, permitting normal conversation rather than diners having to raise... more
I dined here and everytime it was simply amazing, service was more smooth that silk and satin combined, food optionswwere great, tastes were great, a very delicate palate would fall in love and the wine is to die for... Simply put, the service was amazing from constant checks on and friendly warm, knowledgeable staff, in my opinion professional professionals in... more
We were walking to another restaurant and this one looked inviting so we decided to check it out. It was lunch time and not very busy so I was a little worried but it was all fantastic. We split a Caesar salad and I had the linguine pesto and my daughter had the pasta special. The ceasar dressing was definitely... more
We were tired of the major food chain restaurants, and decided to wander downtown Chilliwack during our short visit there. We found Rustica's by accident. We tried it, and truly enjoyed everything. The staff, food, atmosphere and experience was perfect. Now, every time we travel through, we plan our trip to include a stop there. Recently, we were traveling through... more
Like the title says you gotta try their mussels or scallops or.... you get it. The veil we had was excellent also.
We don't get out much but when we do this is defiantly one of our first pics.
This restaurant is hidden in an area not known for restaurants in Chilliwack. Don't let this fool you. The food here, if you like Italian is great! The Spaghetti is so flavourful. Every item I have ever had there in the 8-10 times I have visited has been awesome.
Italian restaurants are normally accommodating with a wide selection on the menu. I went with friends and the menu was very restrictive and the specials were sold hard and when the bill came boy i could see why.
not the geratest but not the worst I have evrer been in.
Tomato boccocini was over dressed with a metallic tasting balsalmic, and this after asking for "light on the balsalmic", tried but couldn't finish it
Pasta was linguine with procuito, peas and a cream sauce
Pasta would not wind on the fork, just broke from being over cooked
Procuito (air dried ham) was actually cotto (ham that is not dried?)

Good food but very expensive for pasta dishes that I can make at home quite easily. 100 characters? ridiculous to have that as a minimum..... more
This is so not worth it. This is really a cute little restaurant. It’s softly lit, red checkered tablecloths on the table and nice Italian music playing in the background. The music was nice and soft, not too loud and it really made for a great ambiance. We had reservations for 6:00 and we were given a nice table by... more
This is a great little place for both lunch and dinner in downtown Chilliwack. The food is amazing, always fresh and flavourful. The service is fantastic, the servers clearly know the menu and can easily make a recommendation. I will return time and time again!
The food is dellicious. The service is perfect. The place is so clean and neat. I will go back anytime. Rustica's is a gem in the middle of the small town.
We ate here on a recent fishing trip and was very underwhelmed. We couldn't find a starter that appealed and the mains were poor and uninspiring. Very expensive for this quality of food. Pokey decor and a bit dull. Disappointing considering it's rank on TA.
this is the real deal just like nana use to make a little pricey but very good A must if you are in the mood for real Italian food
One might simply drive by this little bit of Italy...there's no flashy signage to draw you in and, from the street, it's very nondescript...but that would be a huge mistake!!!
Walking in the door you're immediately struck by the quiet intimacy...and then the aromas eminating from the kitchen hit you.
The food and wine were excellent, and the service was...

It really seems odd to me that a place this good can be found in Chilliwack. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. Service is good, and the food is very good too. We always end up getting extra bread so we can wipe up all the sauces, which is something I've never done in any other restaurant.
Ya fine dining with expensive prices. The quality of the food is good. This is not my taste in food, ie pastas etc. I will continue to go with my friends when I am out voted.
This is not just a eatery, but a passion that is conveyed through the dishes that are served.Dont expect processed, packaged meals that are delivered by a truck from a warehouse.Fantastic service and knowledgable staff. As someone who has travelled across the country, been through all the USA , Europe and South America and eaten out allot, this is a jewel... more
Had the caprese salad, heavy on spices and black with balsalmico, could not taste the tomatoes let alone the bocconcini
Pasta JB special was better, still over spiced, no pasta taste just sauce
A lighter hand on the sauces ??

Visited Rustica's alone on a Wednesday night and was treated to a fabulous Italian dinner in a very pleasant atmosphere. The decor was simple yet elegant. The music was a lovely Italian restaurant mix of Classical Pop Opera favourites from the likes of Il Divo, Sarah Brightman, and Andrea Bocelli, mixed in with just the right dose of Sinatra, and... more
We have been to this restaurant several times & the food has always been exceptional. Very good value for the price. The service is also very good. We would highly recommend Rustica's to any lover of Italian cuisine (particularly Pasta - OUTSTANDING!)
The food was just perfect. Very nicely presented, piping hot and every bite was especially delicious. The staff was so friendly and really made for and enjoyable evening out. Highly recommended!
The best italian food in the whole fraser valley i highly recommend it to anyone who want high quality italian food or even great queality steak.
