An okay experience. The restaurant is still seat yourself, and the service was a little aloof, since we sat with no drinks for a fair amount of time before we were asked for another round. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was because the restaurant was busy.
The fish and chips was incredible as always! The fries were fresh and crispy.
Overcooked salmon with dry rice and bland veg. Meh.

This location is huge and has a warm, neighbourhood feel to it. There is enough parking. It used to be one of the few pubs in the area but over the last little while, they have seen competition come in and actually do well. There is nothing exceptional about this place. This Royal Oak is huge! It has plenty of seating, with many tables and chairs and plenty of room for people to sit and drink, as well as for live entertainment.
