I recently visited The Round Table Pembina to fulfill a steak craving. Overall, my date and I had a decent experience.

The entrance to get into the restaurant parking lot was a bit deceiving, I could see it being an issue for some. However, we cannot fault the Round Table for this. So this is just something to keep in mind when deciding to dine here.

My wife had been to this restaurant in the past and had a great dinner, this last time we went there for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We both love the old medieval style building.

Pretty good, not too bad

The Round Table Steakhouse has been a cornerstone restaurant for decades but it appears to be slipping.
Their signature ribeye and prime rib were always gold but our last experience didn't match previous cuts.
And what happened to those fabulous shrimp? Off the menu?
We might have to think twice about our next time.

The lounge in winter

The lounge with fireplace is great on a cold day.
Lunch is good, the restaurant is also very good, a bit pricey.

Quality food good dining experience

Although the menu has limited choices, is heavy on beef dishes and seems a bit expensive, we were all very pleased with our meals. One of the best

The roast beef was superb, the chef's potato was delicious and the other vegetables were cooked to perfection. Portions were generous, so it was not realistic to have a dessert! Maybe next time we will start there. A great experience for a special occasion.

40 years and still a great place

It uses old-world ambience combined with amazing food, to keep the crowds coming in

Great experience we made a reservation and our table was ready for us, our waitress was friendly and prompt we had a great meal, we always go for our birthdays every year and always get treated well! We will go back again soon!

A classic

Always pleased with the service and the legendary quality of the prime rib! This visit was only my second, but definitely did NOT disappoint. I consider the various "cuts" of prime to be an excellent value for the quality of the meal and will never get bored of that first mouthful that reminds you why this place has been around for as long as it has. Wonderful time with great food and excellent service. The prime rib/ steaks are always very good, but there are some wonderful pasta/ seafood combinations.

sandwich special (no sides) was good but at $11.00 it had better be! Typically one thinks of the special as being a bit of a deal - if this was the deal, I wonder what the regular price was?

Still great food and service

We have frequented the Round Table in the past and now have revisited and find it very accomodating. Love the food, still cannot get past the prime rib though, my solid favourite time and time again. Great atmosphere and friendly courteous staff. Great bar scene, live music included in their revamped lounge adjoining the dining area.

Excellent 2 weeks ago Poor last Saturday

2 weeks ago we had lobster excellent and steak perfection.
Last Saturday returned for same and as menu was changed we were more than dissappointed mainly after getting 2 lobsters and still short from first time and steak deffinately not triple AAA .

Steakhouse didn't exceed expectations

Stopped in for quick dinner of prime rid. Bartender was very helpful, dinner itself was good. Prime Rib was done right, but Yorkshire was pretty crusty and hard. Wine list pretty pricey which was even agreed to by the staff.

My favourite with frenz

Great staff, always knowledgable in what they serve, very accomodating. Keep trying to delve into other dishes but cannot get past their prime rib, which is always fantabulous. We were there for a Christmas party a year ago. The food was overpriced and not worth it at all. Very expensive for what you get. I would not go back. Winnipeg has many other nice steak restaurants that are better to go to.

Just came back from our anniversary dinner and loved it!! Hubby ordered the French onion soup and was happy with it, I ordered the mussels and was thrilled...Hearty portion and very tasty! Never disappoints

My wife and I enjoyed an exceptional New Year's Eve's dinner at the Round Table. The food and service were up to the Round Table's usual exceptional standard's. We are frequent guests and the food and service is always top notch and Kristjan and his staff deserve all the accolades they receive.

Great Steaks

We went there for the first time in about 15 years. It was still as good as I remembered it. I had the filet mignon steak - tender, excellent flavour. Maybe a bit pricey but no more than other similar types of restaurants. The service was excellent. Very friendly staff. Great decor.

You walk in and notice immediately how dark everything is. The lighting is dimmed the wood is dark and the pub is beautiful and makes you feel like you are in a castle. More than just Steaks

You can always count on getting a great steak at the Round Table. We tried the de-boned roasted chicken and were extremely supprised at the the tendernous and taste. The service is excellent and the food is always prepared well.

A little expensive but the quality of the food and service makes it worth it

Lounge & Restaurant Both Worth The Trip

My husband and I usually sit in the lounge (which is comfortable and beautiful) but have also had dinner here. Probably one of the best steakhouses in Winnipeg and great drink selections. Consider stopping in for a drink/appetizer in the evening.

Great food but you definitely are paying for it.
Some places you get more/better food for your money here your probably paying more then what you get. But the atmosphere is neat and the quality is good.

Wow! This restaurant is great, my steak was cooked to perfection. It melted in my mouth. My companion had chicken and ribs and really enjoyed his dinner as well. Service was great, she new her menu and offered suggestions. If you are looking for a great meal..you found the place.

Way too expensive now for prime rib and steaks.

They have the best steaks in the city. The prime rib melts in your mouth. I am not joking!! I enjoyed it better than the keg and hy's.
