Disappointing

We were looking forward to being back at Richmond Grill since we had good previous experiences here. Had the beet salad and it was sour with a boatload of balsamic vinegar. Same for my wife's organic field green salad. Followed up with a veal chop and it tasted like it was past its due date. Service was mediocre at best.... more

There isn't many decent decent dining options in northern Richmond Hill, Richmond Grill is by far and away the best. We've been going since before our son was born and the staff has got to see our son grow into a young man.

Quality Close at Hand to the Theatre

Comfort Food !....my craving included Liver and Onions.....served with garlic mashed and veggies....washed down with a "Golden Pheasant" ale.....atmosphere was pleasant...no noisy music..or distractions from my meal ...being full, my guest and I shared a desert of chocolate decadence ... I would return !

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in Richmond Hill

By far one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in Richmond Hill. Food was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Service was amazing, waiter was very courting and friendly. I highly recommend Richmond Grill and will revisit this restaurant many times!

While attending a show at Richmond Hill Performing Arts, we walked a block to the Richmond Grill. The meal was enjoyed by all 9 in our group, ordering various entrees. While being less pretentious than many other restaurants that serve great food- the Richmond Grill does itself proud. Great selection of appetizers (try the platter for 2 with grilled calamari, egg rolls etc,- delish!!) and a really nice selection of fish, meat, foul and pasta/vegetarian dishes. The Grill has been our extended families' go-to place for birthdays and special occasions. Although fairly pricey, the food and atmosphere are well worth the cost. Excellent food

Unassuming restaurant with surprisingly good food. We had an excellent business dinner for seven in the back of the restaurant. Chilean Seabass was excellent as were the other preparations at the table which included an osso bucco and steak. Service was excellent, price was reasonable for the quality, generous portions, wine list was adequate but out of several local wines.

Expensive

This restaurant may have an image problem. Although they cleaned up the area it's still not the best part if Yonge St. Just because you throw table cloths on tables doesn't make it a classy restaurant. The restaurant had a lot of kids. We moved to the little village 2 weeks ago. We dined there on a whim one night and loved it. The service, the food...all very good. The whole atmosphere is great and you can tell everyone loves working there. All the patrons we saw that came and went were happy as well.

Reliable quality - excellent menu

On the main street of old Richmond Hill there is a loyal following for this restaurant including me. Their lamb chops are done perfectly, risotto is creamy (ask for extra mushrooms) and no request for a special meal is turned down.

Little Gem on Yonge Street, Richmond Hill

Since there very few restaurants in our home town of Richmond Hill, we've tried Richmond Grill on several occasions. Each time it gets worse, and this is the last time we will waste our time, money and good health on this place. The appetizer was OK but the main courses, and even the bread, were awful. Back in its' heyday it used to be THE place to eat in Richmond Hill. People supposedly came from all over to have a great meal in a quaint little town. It's now 2009.... I can't say I would drive far and wide to eat here but it is good.

I go to Richmond Grill at least once every 2 weeks, the food is outstanding and so is the service. You would be a fool to live in Richmond Hill and not try this place out.

Downtown restaurant uptown

This is one of my favourite restaurants. It is on Yonge Street right smack in the middle of Richmond Hill next door to Singer Shoes. Just looking at it, you wouldn't think it was much but you'd be wrong.

This restaurant has a decent atmosphere.The wine list is well thought out but somewhat lacking in depth.Food is quite good but overpriced.Overall I found the staff attentive and eager to be of service.
