My husband and I have stayed at this location several times in Montreal. The staff are friendly and helpful, the service is great, the breakfast is amazing and the location is perfect..

Close to sightseeing sites

Easy check in and check out, clean and comfortable room, comfortable bed. The elevators were a little slow. It is a good hotel for everyone who does not want to spend too much on a hotel stay, but wants comfortable accommodations. The hotel is located in a close proximity to all major sightseeing attractions and shopping. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

Exceeded expectations!

It's always a bit daunting when you book a hotel online, wondering if it will meet your expectations. I felt it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious, staff friendly and accommodating. The breakfast offered a large variety of different foods. The staff seemed willing and ready to help you in any way that they could.

Great location near St. Cathrine's Street

Hotel was great, check-in was easy, plenty of garage parking, rooms were comfortable and the living rooms and kitchenettes were great. Excellent base of operations

Very friendly reception personnel who made checking in and checking out a pleasure. Room was excellent, clean and the internet wifi worked perfectly. The location is superb, close to relatives in Westmount and within walking distance of downtown. Highly recommended.

Nice Hotel, Great Location, Excellent Staff

This residence hotel has rooms with full kitchenettes, ample space, and pleasant lay outs. The kitchenettes have a full array of dishes, pots and pans, a microwave, and dishwasher. There are several quality supermarkets two or three blocks away, so I found myself preparing meals and making far greater use of the kitchenettte than I had expected. Once you get there, it is disaponting, the space of rooms and apartments are good. The staff are welcoming. But the building and the other service you get is not worted your hars working money. Just it is good for sleep.

Comfortable hotel near downtown Montreal

The hotel is near downtown Montreal and Mount Royal, which made it easy to move around town. The staff were friendly. Loved having a suite

Clean, pleasant place. It was great to have a little living room, kitchen and bedroom. The lobby furniture was extremely old and dirty. Our first impression was that we had prepaid for a dump. I was depressed immediately. That all changed when we got to the room. Staff was wonderful .. very accommodating and super attitude. Full free breakfast reminded us of European travel. Nice lounge areas. Balcony for the room was a treat. Disappointed

We spent a few nights at this hotel in April 2014. All in all, it was a disappointment to us all, for the following reasons:

A wonderful place to stay in Montreal. It is clean, close to metro, and restaurants. Breakfast buffet has a variety of choice. Staff is very friendly. The parking spot in the garage is tight. If your car is larger than a regular size sedan, you might want to consider parking somewhere else. Beds are not very comfortable, but bearable for a night or two.

Weekend get away to see our Daughter

This is our go to hotel when we visit our daughter in Montreal, very friendly atmosphere and awesome breakfast buffet everyday, just got back and looking forward to next trip! Minutes from Atwater Market and shops of St. Catherine's street and close to universities for visiting parents like us!

Only two elevators in a 20 story building, and one of them was broken. Very long waits. The tap water was undrinkable because it always stayed warm. The elevator buttons weren't grounded properly on the 5th floor and I got shocked every time I hit the button.
The staff were very friendly/helpful though, so kudos to them!

Great Service, Wonderful rooms

We stayed here for a few days while in Montreal and loved it. I had planned to use the kitchenette to make breakfast, but when I discovered the free morning buffet, it was no longer necessary. Booked 3 nights on points, have no complaints. A bit off the beaten path but that means a much quieter location. This hotel meets Marriott standards. As it is a residence inn there are complete kitchen facilities available which gives the impression of a small apartment rather than an hotel suite. If you pick up food you can cook it and store it which is great if you want to eat in.

This seems to be favoured by workers who need long-stay accommodation and want to cook / eat in their room. Weekend Getaway

Average hotel at best. The location is about a mile from the "downtown" hub of Montreal. Parking was an issue. When I arrived I was told my car was too big for onsite parking (Mazda). It's a shame this hotel doesn't have more reviews etc. Probably because it is a hidden gem of sorts. The hotel is in the middle of great areas for food and things to do. The rooms are old, small and dark. The perimeter of the carpet in the rooms was dusty dirty, carpet had spots, bathrooms are small. A decent hotel on a budget in Montreal

I stayed two nights at this hotel and it was fairly nice for the price. The rooms were clean, its a fairly good location and there is a breakfast included. I had rented van that I had to park a couple blocks away which was a bit of an inconvenience but I do beleive they had underground parking for cars.

This hotel is a disaster. As a current gold and former platinum rewards member I've stayed in enough Marriott's to know this is way below their normal standard.

Close to the metro in a quieter area of Montreal. Rooms were good. Elevators were quite slow. Only two small elevators to accommodate all guests equaled a longer wait to reach your room.

Stayed at the Marriott for a conference in June and was very impressed. Stayed in a studio with a Queen bed, which has plenty of room for me. There was a full kitchen and small eating area.

This hotel is three blocks from a metro station and seven blocks from a lot of restaurants and bars. The rooms were wonderful and the pool and gym on the Penthouse were great for views. However, there were only two very slow elevators for the entire hotel. Walk up the stairs when you can.

One of the best places for a reasonable stay in Montreal. It is very clean, great staff, and also has self parking. The location is right near the old forum, and at the beginning of downtown. The restaurant makes a nice breakfast as well.

Amazing Value

Right on the border of downtown and westmount - this hotel was amazing value.What really made our 4 night weekend was the staff - in particular Karine who worked at the front desk - friendly, professional and authentically sweet !! A few minutes walk to public transport and a 25 min walk to old town - easy access to highways a real deal.

I had long-term stays at this hotel off and on for about two years. I was normally checked in for several weeks at a time, and it's the only hotel I'll stay at in Montreal.

It's not the best hotel in Montreal (I think the Sofitel gets that award, but whether you're there for a couple of nights or months it's the best bang for the buck.

Review

We went to Montreal on a Wednesday night after skiing for 3 days in Mont Tremblant. The hotel is about two subway stops away from the major bar scene. Yet, this is not a problem because cabs are inexpensive. The staff was great, except the complimentary breakfast ended early (9am), and there was barely anything left around 8:30am.

The hotel itself is pretty clean. You get a good breakfast buffet with your stay. The hotel is also pretty close to St. Catherine Street where a lot of the action is, so it's in a good location. My only 2 complaints about the hotel are:

1) The parking garage is made for tiny people in tiny cars, but that's not my complaint. My complaint is that the front desk people only ask if you need... plus

This place has a great location and fantastic amenities. The rooms are spacious and you can easily fit many people into a room for a party.

Place is usually really busy though. Breakfast on the weekends can be madness as everyone in the hotel seemed to get in line for food at once.

Park in the lot behind the hotel not at the hotel because you'll save a good deal of money.

I've stayed here twice and both times had good experience. The room was basic, but clean, with a full small kitchen. Staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The first time, they had a full service breakfast restaurant, which was excellent. But the second time they only did a buffet type breakfast, which was fine, and easy. Great selection of rooms when travelling with a family. I believe this was converted from what used to be an apartment building. It is in a quiet neighborhood of Westmount, but close enough to Sherbrooke so that I was able to walk to and from the Ritz Carlton for my uncles wedding.

The room we had was in the traditional style of just about any Residence Inn that you might stay in elsewhere . .... plus

The taxes were simply included in the published rate. I hope the hotel wasn't trying to make money from double taxing the clients.”

“Staff is very accommodating with directions (walking and driving). Rooms come with complimentary microwave popcorn. Complimentary breakfast is extensive and will please all appetites- the "make-your-own" waffles are a treat. Parking is reasonably priced and so easy to access at all hours (day or night).”

“Very nice hotel. The room we got had a full kitchen, so we felt we got a little more than we bargained for. The room also had a balcony, but it felt kind of unsafe. So we didn't really use it. I am sure it was safe, it was just the way it was constructed. Overall we where very happy about the hotel and the staff.”
