From the outside this place seem's like your local neighborhood hangout but when entering this establishment I found it to be much more then that. Rebel's Rock has a comfortable "mom I'm home" feeling. It's small, quaint and classic. Perfect way to finish a romantic night with your hubby. The night I attended the crowed was warm and inviting. The dress here is causal all of the ladies very... more
I alone arrived early and asked for a pint of stout and a menu at the bar. Staff was friendly and told me the specials right away. I had a nice thick Irish stew and a proud pour pint. my friends just had brews when they arrived. All had a good time.
We are semi regular guests at The Rock, and enjoy the laid back, irish atmosphere. Kate's magic in the kitchen is beyond compare, and I am willing to pay for a top quality pint.
I always refer The Rock to my friends and family. Love it.
We were told about it by another Irish Pub owner and thought we would try it out. A place with a lot of Irish history on the wall. Good friendly staff and the food was good. Would I return...yes and that says it all. Nice place to drop in for a drink and lunch.
Tried to get a pitcher of draft and the bar tender said "It's not that kind of place" Obviously not impressed by our appearance or something. I didn't like the rather snobby attitude towards us. Won't go back there again. High prices for drinks are a turn off too. Guess they are trying to keep put riff raff like us.
One of my favourite places in town! The shepherd's pie is by BF's favorite and I love the fish and chips. They have a great twist on a poutine that includes nippy cheese and bacon. People are always friendly.
The patio was pretty good. Service was good. Both wheels off my bike were stolen during the time I spent having a nice time. The location is terrible. Probably won't go back.
The food is excellent as is the staff! Some food may appear to be expensive, but it's not . The portions are huge and I have yet to finish a complete meal! Beer on tap is always good and a warm friendly smile is always present from staff. I have taken my teens there for lunch/dinner and they can't get... more
It's an absolute gem. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Everyone seems to know someone or is just plain friendly. The fare is simply to-die-for: the specialities are stunning, even the snacks are astonishing ~ the home-made crisps made me melt and beg for more. The selection of beer is fabulous and the on-taps change frequently. The patio is great... more
Good place to hang out. My brother plays gigs there, check it out sometime!
This is a warning to stay away from the Rebel's Rock. If you go there you run the risk of getting into the middle of a brawl. Should you request police assistance in the afformentioned scenario the owners may cancel the request.
The service is poor, slow and inflexible and the food will often make you feel queasy.
The menu...

I've been frequenting the 'Rock' (as it’s affectionately known) on and off for 3 years. I've met many an interesting patron, bartender and up until a little while ago dog. I even met my wonderful other half there and no one finds love at a bar. This isn’t a bar the people and atmosphere are what set the pub apart... more
When this first opened it was great and its been all down hill since. I mistakenly went back recently to give it another chance. The service was bad the food so so and the prices way too high
Good service, and a relaxed environment, in a neighbourhood devoid of nice places to meet for a pint. The only thing holding Rebel's Rock from being 'Above Average' is the menu is too fryer centric.
Great when they have live music.
Pretty small, and built into a house, but one of the most laid-back bars I've ever been to both decor-wise, and people-wise. We went on St. Patty's Day, and so I'm sure it's not normally as packed as it was that night. They had some pretty decent live music happening, and it was a really diverse crowd.
I've made three visits to this pub, thinking I'd been there on an 'off' day the time before. Unfortunately, every day seems to be an off day at Rebel's Rock.
The first visit was for lunch. Alas, Kate was not in, and the kitchen had ostensibly been closed in her absence. Perhaps because I had brought four others with me,...

A great little irish pub, a little out of the way but worth it! The pub food is nice and hearty: authentically and uniquely good! I LOVE their curry fries!!!! and their irish ales on tap! A good crowd, and some good live music.
Kate's home cooking is just that...Great, Irish, home-cookin'!
