This is the perfect place to stay if you're planning to explore Vancouver. It's centrally located and reasonably priced, and the price includes breakfast and wifi. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. I just spent a week here, and it was the perfect place to crash between tourist/business activities. My room did not have a real "window"--my room was on the sixth floor, which I... more
Visited the Ramada for NYE with my friends. We were looking for a place that was near the water. This place is two blocks from the harbor and close to fun places to explore. It's located between an old bookstore and a great pub and across the street from a friendly breakfast joint.
The front desk staff was always exceptionally friendly. The hotel is older but is in great condition. The...

My first time in Canada, my host and we were held up for almost an hour before checking in..Manager was very rigid and unfriendly but later improved her attitude. Lobby was very dirty, chairs all old, worn and torn, bathroom door did not close. Room was too small, no fridge or microwave, no breakfast. Hallway floors very squeeky and loud. The place is overdue for an update.
friendly staff so enjoyed stay...great location for shopping, theatres and night life
The hotel room with the king size bed was incredibly squishy and not much room to move around. I couldn't see out of any windows and I had to pay $31 for parking in addition to the cost of the room for the night. I was disappointed
The hotel was in a convenient, downtown location. The rooms were clean and had all amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The people at the front desk were really friendly and nice. The room was not great, but the price was cheap so that's to be expected. We were supposed to have had a queen size bed, but instead there were essentially two twin mattresses put together. It was an awkwardly wide, short bed. The water pressure in the shower was horrible, and the sink was really low. I only stayed one night, so these... more
Had an event to go to at Rogers Arena and this hotel was only a 10 min walk. Perfect location. Super friendly and helpful staff and a decent complementary breakkie! Will definitely stay here again!
The Ramada Hotel is located in downtown Vancouver near theConvention Centre,I was attending a meeting and the location was perfect. They also offer a modest breakfast included in the hotel rate, which is also ok. I think it is a good quality/price relationship.
Its great for the price and location, but definitely needs a bit of an update in the rooms. I would stay again though because the price is right.
This is an older hotel. The room we were staying in was reasonbly sized with a king size bed. The room and bathroom was clean and appeared relatively recently renovated. This room had an individually controlled AC/heater and it seemed to work very well. I usually have issues with the temperature of hotel rooms but this was perfectly adjustable. They serve an acceptable breakfast and are located... more
Close to restaurants, and downtown area. Breakfast is included and lots of varieties. Staff are friendly and approachable. The only problem with this hotel is the parking. But they have a valet parking or you can park your own car to the closest parking buildings. The room is very comfortable, clean and quiet.
Thanks for a great stay. It was the perfect place to relax after a long flight and then explore Downtown Vancouver.
We came in off a late train and received a freindly welcome at 11pm. Very comfortable room, adequate breakfast included, and we left at 9am, rested and refreshed. Our rental car depot was a three minute walk away. Consequently we did not have time to really enjoy the Ramada but had a good rest and were well located for the next part of our journey.
Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast includes egg patties. yogurt, peanut butter in addition to many different breads and juice, milk, etc.
Good location. We were disappointed the room didn't have a view as the room faced a brick wall.
This is the third time I used this hotel. The room rate and location in downtown suits me fine. Staff are very friendly and the room as nice and clean.
Very small but clean room in downtown Vancouver. Easy walks to nearby attractions of gaslight district, cruise port and art museum. Breakfast buffet included. Near to bus stops for Granville island and free bus to Capillano suspension bridge park.
I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It is centrally located and the hotel building itself is old but the condition of the hotel was mostly clean and comfortable. The room was a bit small but it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
It was a short walk from the cruise ship terminal to the hotel, and there's a bus stop directly across the street where we were able to catch a cheap bus for the short trip to the Amtrak terminal after we checked out. The hotel is really close to a lot of shops and restaurants in the Gastown area, but other than that, was about as far as possible from most of the other places we realized we... more

Prior to arriving had email correspondence with management re adding additional person to room and was pleased that they were very helpful in resolving our issues. If i returned to Vancouver in the future... more
First visit spent in a rather small room at the front of the hotel which meant a noisy night. The second visit was spent in a much larger and quieter room at the side of the hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Good responsive staff, room very good, little noisy from music next door, breakfast room gets busy
Great location but bad neighborhood. Breakfast very basic. Room confortable but bad location in the hotel: room was close to the elevators which were really noisy. Great location, close to downtown and waterfront.
The best part of our hotel stay was the location it was important for us to be near the Vancouver Convention Centre but we also walked to China Town, Gas Town, Robson St, Stanley Park. Lots of great resturants nearby and the complementary breakfast was a great bonus to get going early in the day. And being close to the VCC meant we could take the free shuttle from there to Grouse Mountain and... more
Older hotel but well maintained. Great location close to downtown amenities.
My friend and I had a delightful time at this hotel! Though the rooms are smaller, because of the age of the building, that was understandable. The location was perfect and the staff was very friendly and helpful. One man working at the front desk ran with us to another hotel just so we could get a cab in tome to make our bus home. We will be back next time we go to Vancouver.
Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter le centre ville à pied. Chambre sans vue avec des fenêtres opaques.Nous n'avons pas eu le frigo et le micro-ondes demandés (indiqués sur demande).
Hotel and staff was fine as a whole. However, we were placed in room 616 - felt like a closet. There is technically a window, but it is completely frosted over so you can not see out of it at all, likely because it faces the wall of the adjacent building. We heard people screaming and fighting in the middle of the night, and in the late afternoon. A room with a regular window would have made a... more
Everything was perfect from the moment my son and I arrived from San Francisco on our first not only Vancouver experience, in fact Canadian experience! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It's pretty close to the restaurants and shopping areas. Our room was pretty small but we didn't mind.
Hotel location good for walking to Waterfront, Gastownand and city and is on bus route. Free internet a bonus. Drawback was only continental brakfast available and room was VERY small.
Very comfortable bedding and the the employees were all outstanding with their helpfulness. The bathroom was very large but awkward towel and shelving locations.
Our stay was fantastic. Ivan and Julie bent over backwards to assist us in every way possible. They are truly outstanding at their jobs. We thanked them but I feel that is not enough, they were always smiling, happy to assist us with the many questions we had about the area, trips, buses, trains, planes etc that "Thank You" just doesn't seem to cover how great these people were to all of us... more
My room was on the small side but given it was a Ramada Limited, was what I expected. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything you would expect to find in a room despite the size. Historic buildings usually have small rooms and elevators. That's a given. We were jet lagged from flying West from DC Metro and were grateful to have a room to crash in right away! Everyone we met at this property were warm & friendly!

We stayed at the Ramada Limited for 3 nights for business as it was close to where our meetings were being held. When planning a trip to Vancouver recently, I chose the Ramada. Excellent location and friendly staff.
Good location, comfortable, well-furnished room, good value. Okay, tiny elevator, no view from room, etc., but you must expect some compromises for price. Courteous staff. I'd happily stay there again.

I have stayed here many times and am always treated well by the staff. This is a value hotel, so there is no fridge in the room, but that's the only drawback from my perspective. Good price for Vancouver. Better than basic accommodations. Friendly & accommodating staff. The area is down at the heals; looks like the East Village circa 1975!
It's a good hq for visiting nuckleville. Close to gas town, restaurants and Chinatown. Breakfast was one step up from the carb only breakfasts at other locations. Biggest plus was the service from the staff. Switched rooms for us, replaced remote and always on point for entering and leaving hotel. Extremely small rooms, windows you cannot look out of. Small, slow elevator. Noisy, people talking in the hallway sound like they're in your room. No parking, just valet. The only plus is Yagers bar is downstairs and its a short walk to other restaurants.

If you are looking for a cheap, lovely & well located hotel, then this is the place! It was my first time in Vancouver & for the cheap price, thought it'd be awful. Rooms are small (at least the standard ones), but have fairly nice decor, excellent bedding, and lovely slate floors in bathroom (which are cold in the winter - lay a towel down!). Their bath and toilet drain system are not working well.Bath does not drain water.Toilet cock of drain water was braked. But, I know this weekly hotel price is very very expensive in Vancouver. On this week, RAMADA price is very competitive.

Fantastic location, close to everything, regenerated and fascinating gas town, Chinatown and harbour. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. So, value for money is good as Vancouver is pretty expensive.
Best point about this hotel is its location. It is a short walk to Gastown, Chinatown, Canada Place, major shopping centres and the hop-on, hop-off sightseeing buses. Breakfast was included but the choices were limited. There is a guest laundry with one washing machine and one dryer which was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and gave good advice. The room however was small with small frosted... more
Location was convenient, walking distance to skytrain stations and other downtown places, esp to church which we greatly appreciate. Breakfast was adequate. An ok place to stay for a 2-3 day break.
great location, within walking distance to the convention center. great price . the building is old and the elevator is tiny. and the room is cramp. not for family and kids but great for a single person on business trip. for the price, i am impress with the clean white sheet and comfort of the bed. I definitely will stay here again.
A very comfortable hotel at an affordable price. Just 8 minutes walk to the Convention Center and cruise ship embarkment. 4 minutes walk to the Skytrain. Breakfast included plus internet access and luggage storage. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy and the staff very helpful.
I spent 5 nights for a business trip in Vancouver, Canada. The hotel room was nice and clean, staff were polite, the price is better than other hotel in the area. The location of the hotel is walkable distance to the convention center, in a safe area and convenient to restaurants, shopping center, and train station etc public transportation stops. Continental breakfast was provided.
its was a good weekend Hotel.. not bad on the price, its walking distance close to almost everything.
I really liked this hotel. Staff are great and rooms, while tiny, are adequate. Breakfast is included and will keep you going for a while.I was given early check in on request and was also given a room with a harbor view. The hotel was really well located- an easy walk to shops, Canada Place, Gastown. Make sure you go to La Tacqueria which is just around the corner- best tacos ever. Bangtown... more
I was very pleased with the hotel. At first look you might shy away from the location. But it is ok. Very close to bus transportation and good access to and from the train and bus terminal except very early in the morning but a short taxi ride. A little concerned at first by the description of roll in shower in the room but it is a fixed bathroom. Good continental breakfast, clean and... more
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Great location, good staff and terrific value. The rooms must have been recently renovated because they looked like new.
I booked this hotel after doing much research with plenty of hemming and hawing to myself. I was SO GLAD I decided to stay here. It was inexpensive in comparison to other hotels in the area, but it was definitely one of the best hotel stays I've had on vacation. It is close to any public transportation, it's right in downtown, and the staff is UNBELIEVABLE. They were very friendly and helpful;... more
Clean and roomy. Right in the heart of downtown. Only minor downside is the ridiculously outdated list of area attractions. They claim to be home city to the newest NBA team, the Vancouver Grizzlies lol
The location is awesome. Very good proximity to the English Harbor, Gastown, The Vancouver Convention Center, etc. Very walkable area. The rooms? Meh. Plain, nothing special, but nothing bad either. The continental breakfast is okay, it was included, so no complaints there! If you're looking to spend under $100 in a world-class city, this is a good choice!
Amazing location in Vancouver - walking distance to ferry, buses, trains, downtown - everywhere awesome in Vancouver. Trains can take you to the airport which is a huge plus, and trains are affordable as well, especially for the distance from Vancouver City to the Airport. Friendly staff and decent breakfast - well worth it. Rooms are quite small however, so you may struggle to move around... more
Stayed last Saturday night. The hotel, once you get out of the lobby, is pretty old and run down. The floors creak, etc. That in and of itself isn't a deal breaker. Front desk was extremely personable & helpful. The beds were clean and extremely comfy. The internet was free and top-quality. The TV's were flat screen. The bathrooms were perfectly clean.
However we stayed on the 1st floor on a...

The hotel is well located, in the heart of both theater and commercial areas. It is also close to the biggest mall of Vancouver. The staff is very attentive. Good place to stay if you are looking for a nice hotel and do not want spend too much money.
My stay here was awesome, and if I were to stay in a hotel in the area again or if someone was looking for recommendations, I would give them this place.
I stumbled upon this hotel accidentally. My sights were first set on the hostel down the block, but after taking one look inside, I decided I'd shell a few extra bucks to stay in better furnishings. I called the Ramada for rates because it...

Perfect place for a manual wheelchair accessible stay and travel. Good location, good public transportation nearby.Few blocks from Waterfront station which can take you to airport and city suburbs.Bus stop infront of the Ramada hotel.Perfect sidewalks with curb cuts.Room rate is a bit high but clean with good breakfast and good location. Many streets are like a ramp or elevated.
I chose this hotel because of the price point. I was satisfied with the overall location and cleanliness of the hotel. It was easy enough to find once off of the Canada line and the staff was friendly. Would stay there again. Yagger's next door is a good place to have a drink and good food.
This hotel was located in downtown Vancouver, close to Gastown, Chinatown, ships, and tour buses. It was clean, with free WiFi and continental breakfast. Small room, nicely decorated. Air conditioner did not work very well, but otherwise everything was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only real drawback was that the immediate neighborhood appeared somewhat seedy, with a lot of... more
The Vancouver Ramada Downtown Limited Hotel is a bit old and dated, but the rooms are modern and well furnished. Breakfast was included. Not a big buffet, but adequate. Hot items( pancakes, eggs, saussge), cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, pastries and fruit. Breakfast room is very small and gets congested with all the guests.Hotel is easy walking distance to Canada Place (6-8 blocks) 2 blocks to... more
Nice place to stay, very close to the Convention Centre and Canada Place! Service was excellent and very friendly!
Excellent place to stay, with perfect location and friendly staff! Easy access from airport.
Good location between the very cool clean Gastown and the funky shabby Chinatown. Harbor, restaurants, buses and trains all within walking. Taxis easy to order, quick to arrive. This is old Vancouver like old San Francisco surrounded by a huge suburban sprawl. Hotel adjacent to the a Strand-like (NYC) bookstore and near the continent's 1st Ming Dynasty style scholar's garden. Good breakfast,... more
“This is a great hotel as a stepping point to any of the cruise lines.”
Attended a conference at the convention center. The location is convenient and within walking distance. Sky train station is very near to go to and from the airport. Breakfast was nice with hot items served. The staff is helpful.
Alles im Downtown zu Fuß zu erreichen.Hotel ok.
This is a small but nice hotel at a good price. We got a small but nice room with a free breakfast. A good deal for the price. The staff were helpful in suggesting restaurants. The taxi to the cruise ship is a short ride or you can walk 4 or so blocks.
I attended a business conference and stayed a few extra days for fun. I was very pleased with my accomodations. It is not a 5-star hotel, but it doesn't profess to be one. It had everything I needed and included a nice breakfast every morning.
Older hotel, but great location.
Great hotel for the price. They had a pack 'n play for our 7 month old, which was nice. The free hot breakfast was very good every morning, pancakes and eggs. It is only 3 blocks to the waterfront and walkable distance to stanley park if you are up for a long walk, took us about 25 minutes to get there. The downsides include, valet parking which is expensive at $25 a night, and the rooms... more
Excellent location for a boutique hotel close to the waterfront as well as 1 block from the best shopping mall, Pacific Center. The breakfast room is very simple, could do with a little brightening up but the complimentary continental breakfast is generous and varied with fresh fruits, pancakes and round omelletes. We requested a high floor and had good views of the harbour and the room was... more
“Very helpful staff. Continental breakfast was good, however same choices each of the three days we were there. Over all not a bad place for the price. Good location in downtown near gastown area and Chinatown.”
Good standard accommodation for this price, staff were outstanding, friendly and knowledgable
The location was perfect - walking distance to Gastown, Chinatown and all of downtown. We weren't looking for a hotel with all the bells and whistles - ie pools, restaurants etc so price was important and we were very happy with the result - very clean & quiet. The 'breakfast included' was basic but sufficient.
I LOVED this hotel. The building is historic and very beautiful. The rooms were absolutely spotless and very nicely decorated. The free breakfast was excellent and the staff with very friendly, with the exception of the guy on front desk. He was on the phone when I arrived to check in and I waited for 15 minutes for him to finish the conversation, even though there was a queue. He didn't... more
The hotel was exactly what we needed for our weekend with the Canucks. The staff were super-friendly and very accommodating. They let us check in 3hours early without a hint of hesitation. Great stay.
Awfull smell in corridors, room and in bathroom. Had to open windows and keep them open all the time.
My stay at this hotel was excellent. The room was clean albeit small. The staff where friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK - nothing spectacular but acceptable. The location is also great. It is centrally located and is a short walk from Canada place, Chinatown, or the BC place. The price was unbeatable.
I consider this hotel a great value and would stay here again.
“Noise from the street , from the adjacent rooms. Dirty carpet , old furniture. Parking not included, add $28 more. Only good thing : friendly staff.”
“ Rooms were a bit small but very clean. Helpful friendly staff. Generous continental breakfast. Very close to Gastown and shopping. ”
“Great staff, great room, nice continental breakfast! Had a wonderful stay!”
“ It was not the hotel I had initially booked online and was a little disappointed not to be staying in the Granville location. Also having to pay $25/night for valet parking was a bit of expense. ”
“ Very economical, clean, well located, very good value, I have stayed in maybe 12 hotels in the last three years and this was by far the best. Will stay here anytime I am in Vancouver. Free breakfast. In hotel laundry that the guests can use. ”
I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Vancouver. The location is great and it definitely doesn't have the price of a downtown hotel. Yes it is an older building but our room was very nice, obviously recently redone. Slate tiles in the bathroom, a great shower, nice linens, comfy bed... the room was on the small side but it was perfect for us. I'd much rather have a small,... more
This place was AWFUL. The room that they reserved for me (using Hotels.com=which I would NOT recommend using) was a nightmare! The flooring in the middle of the room was adjoined from another hotel so there was a pronounced ^ uneven seam (not a flat surface). Aside from that it had this disgusting mixture of smells that were so nauseating. There was an old fashioned swamp cooler hanging from... more
“This was a clean, safe, and good location hotel. The staff was exceptionally in their work. All were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel that were on a budget. The location was great if going on a cruise or walking to major points of interest.”
“For a moderately priced hotel, it was fine. Their valet parking service got our keys mixed up and brought us the wrong vehicle. Then they scratched our passenger mirror when parking our vehicle too close to the wall. They then charged us $5.00 more for parking.
”
The hotel is located on the fringe of the financial district and a shabby neighborhood. The street is lined with $1-a-pizza places. The rooms are decent for Canadian standards and clean, but has no view.
we were charged a additional $100.00 for "smoking" the problem is that WE DO NOT SMOKE!!!!! Please stay somewhere else . I tried to talk to the mangement but it did not work. We smelled smoke in the hotel from day 1, but never thought anything about it until the charge appeared on our credit card bill. Plus it is in a sleazy part of town.
The hotel was fair, very small rooms, but served the purpose. We only stayed one night. be very careful! the day we left a man appeared ouside the hotel and told my husband and I that we would be charged an additional $100.00 on our credit card, for "smoking" in the room. WE DONT SMOKE!!!!! we did not have time to argue, because our taxi was at the curb, and we heading to the cruise ship. I... more
The location is good if you are booked on a cruise. About 5 blocks from the pier. The rooms are very small. The breakfast was acceptable but the location in the basement is almost unbearable. Also there are not enough tables to sit between 7:30a and... more
Yes i would recommend it. No view, just another wall. Good for value, since i wasn't staying in the hotel unless i was sleeping. It was what i paid for it.

The hotel was cozy, and offbeat... just the way I like it when traveling. Very close to Harbour Center, Gastown (and the Vancouver Trolley), Canada Place convention Center, and Vancouver Station... to catch cruise ships, trains, or the Seabus ferry to North Vancouver. Breakfast was good with rotating hot items such as french toast, waffles,...

The room was very small but clean. The staff were very polite and helpful. We had to take off before breakfast on our last day. We were given a sack breakfast to eat on the road. I would add a variety of fruit and yogurt to the breakfast menu.
“Close to things we wanted to do; small room, but sufficient for our needs; would like to see mirror in room, as only one is in enclosed bathroom. Difficult for two people to get ready at same time (especially two women!).”
“Good value for money, very helpful staff, excellent location.”
“The expensive valet surprised us(25$)and there was no where else to park. Additionally, they told us to get anything valuable out of the car because it wasn't a safe neighborhood. The free internet was nice and the room was okay. The staff was nice, too. Okay for a 1 star hotel.”
“The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was convenient for the night life in Downtown Vancouver. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, except for the parking situation. Valet parking should be recommended or included in the price to avoid other people having their cars vandalized while staying here.”
“This is a great hotel for the traveler intent on enjoying Vancouver's night life.”
“Other than the beds being very short (Im 6'3" and didn't fit on the bed at all) the place was exactly what I was looking for in the $100 range per night on a Saturday. The hotel staff was absolutely the best. Loaned us an umbrella, extremely friendly and helpful. Well versed in the area and easy to chat with.”
“Good hotel. The small rooms are manageable, but definitely cramped. The hotel can't do anything about the views given the location, but the lack of a window that you can see through left a little bit of a gloomy feel in the room day and night.”
“Would stay here again because it's a pleasant hotel with attractive furnishings and nice continental breakfast. But I do wish it were in better part of town--but then probably couldn't afford to stay.”
“During my stay in the hotel my own car parked by the hotel's valet parking was vandalized and valuables in the car were all stolen, which was really frustrating for me. However the hotel staff including the duty manager never said they were sorry for the incident happened in the hotel but just insisted they were not responsible at all. Further on second day's morning the fire alarm was ringing... more

“My wife and I stayed at the Ramada Limited Downtown Vancouver on Pender and loved it. The staff really set this hotel apart from every other budget hotel we've experienced. We visited during a very busy time (2 Canucks games, the Grey Cup, the Santa Parade and a district-wide water emergency) and the staff were as friendly and relaxed as if we'd stopped by for tea. The location is ideal for... more
This place is a few short blocks from the cruise ship terminal at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver.
