Room had a terrible smell. Front desk ignored us for several minutes when we were trying to check out. Other guests there were very sketchy. No decent dining choices till you walked across a highway to some chains that were mediocre. Cancelled our stay there for our return trip as we were very unhappy with the choice.
We were waken up by noise from air vent in the middle of the night. After searching, we found the noise is from a vent. People were talking, laughing and they were having a party at 2AM! We called the front desk to wait for them to settle. We called again and again in the next 30 minutes, finally two guys were sent to our room then they disappeared claiming to look for the source. Another 30... more
The hotel isn't bad, although it's a little difficult to find the entrance to.
Nice hotel, good breakfast, morning paper, very clean, courteous staff from front desk to cleaning , microwave in room
Hotel put me in to a room with one double bed despite booking for 3 people. They didn't have any rooms with two beds. Also wouldn't let me cancel reservation. I will avoid this hotel going forward.
Difficult to locate, many speed bumps along the entrance way and room walls were paper thin. Bad night sleep
The room was ok, but there was grape vines on the floor and the sink was not clean. It looked ok but when I went to rub off some powdered makeup I was using the dirt started to roll up in my fingers and I realized this sink is getting a quick wipe with a towel or something not a proper scrubbing. Wasn't impressed.
We chose the hotel because of the location: right off the highway, access to amenities. The staff was friendly but the facilities itself falls flat: the funny insecticide smell in the hall way, and hair in the bath tub.
Stayed here 2 nights, can't wait to get back to my own bed. Usually for the price that we paid for this stay beds are of a better quality, comfy. These were rock hard!
On the up side breakfast, make yourself was a fair selection, eggs, sausage, variety of items to toast, oatmeal, cereal and waffles, yogurt, included for the...

This would be a quick stay hotel for travelers....Possibly convenient if you are heading to USA, (or back).
Located just off the QEW, yet a slightly hard to get to off of an industrial road and parking lot.
Rooms are a little small compared to contemporary standards. Beds are ok, (pillows NG), older bathroom and furniture, but flat screen tv...

Reasonable hotel for the money. A little difficult to find.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, relatively cheap prices and location close to freeways. Relatively easy to get a room and there is a good restaurant right next door.
Excellent location, very clean and comfortable room, complimentary FULL breakfast is very impressive! Will highly recommend to friends and family. Staff are very friendly and uniformed security guard at night time makes me feel safe staying at this hotel. Had a good night sleep!
Stayed here for a wedding. Super friendly staff got me in right away and even gave me access to a microwave oven as I brought my own meals from home. The room was very comfortable and clean. Nice variety of foods at breakfast time and even yummy cookies along with coffee and tea at the front desk in the afternoon.... more
Staff was exceptionally helpful and efficient. Rooms were very clean and presentable. Close to a couple of restaurants with lots of parking. Well located at the east end of hamilton, unfortunately we in activities at the west end! But would highly recommend this property.
it was a great location, nice clean reasonably priced place, they did have construction in the front of the hotel and it was hard to find the entrance, but other then that we enjoyed ourselves and got a great nights rest
This hotel was chosen as a nice place place between Toronto and Niagara Falls. Price was reasonable and hotel was well kept. There is plenty of free parking and freeways are really close by.
I've stayed at this hotel several times when it was a Holiday Inn Express, and it was always nice, and very convenient to my destinations for work in Hamilton, and close to the QEW. When I tried to book it for a trip this month, I could not find it in the Intercontinental Hotels site. So I was going to... more
All new furniture, carpets & lovely lemony painted walls. The beds were new & very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant & the included breakfast was delicious. My husband even enjoyed a second helping of scrambled egges. We like decaf coffee which was available & very fresh.
We found the room quite nice, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well - much nicer than what I am used to in some of the American hotels I have stayed at in the past couple of years. A bit of a difficult place to get to, and the roads in the area are in poor shape. Still, we would definitely stay there the next time... more
Nice place, clean and comfortable, very convenient, right off the QEW.
The rooms were nice and clean. The front desk receptionist Vanessa was exceptional and really made me feel welcome! Also the lady in the breakfast room was very pleasant and was keeping it clean and tidy. The breakfast room was a nice addition and well stocked with everything. The location is in an odd location in an industrial area but not unpleasant. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
A bit out of the way, but inexpensive, clean and comfortable.
Front desk was helpful and pleasant - changed our room easily from 2 double beds to 1 queen (as we were staying as a couple) Breakfast was okay. Room was small and clean and decent - I was expecting more than decent.
Room and check in/out was great. Hotel was booked solid with sports teams and other Black Sabath concert goers. If our travles bring us to hamilton again we will stay here.
This hotel is very close to most of the gyms. We were 6-10 mins away from our two locations. The beds were really comfortable and the free breakfast and wifi were great. The staff were helpful and even let us over stay our time at night playing cards in the breakfast room (thanks!). The hall ways on our floor (5th)... more
My family and I stayed at the Quality Hotel in Hamilton over the weekend of March 29 for a Blessed Sacrament Boys Basketball Tournament. The location was perfect for this event. Staff was efficient but not out of the way freindly Breakfast was exactly the same both days but good Rooms were clean Good for the price
My family and I picked up this hotel at last minute for the weekend for a basketball tournament we were attending. We weren't the only ones however, as most of the other patrons at the hotel were here for the same reason so I say this to assure you it was jam-packed this weekend with parents, coaches and their respective... more
I'm never thrilled to have to work so far away from home that I must stay overnight, but this hotel gets full marks. I was met by the Manager who struck the perfect impression of "Genuine" without falling into the too easy trap of "Obsequious". A fine fellow. Easy to trust. Everything was fresh & new, modern, and ultra clean. The Chambermaid (Irene, by her card) was a professional, to be sure.... more

We were able to rent all the rooms on a floor and the kids had a great time running around. We got an excellent price of $97. They had free news papers and a continental breakfast. The hotel was kind of stuck into a weird little corner in behind a plaza and a bit difficult to find. The real issue came when the group of hockey players that were in the rooms around us ignored hotel securities multiple warnings and continued to keep the 4th floor awake until 3am in the halls talking banging doors, sprinting back and forth. What did the hotel do? 'Oh, we've always got at... more
The rooms where pretty decent for the price. One of two elevators was working. The location is next to a scrap yard and industral shops with no road access from main drag. The resturant attach had terrible food with a wait time of about 30 minutes for club sandwiches and a burger with fries. We where 2 of 4 people in resturant at the time. We probably wouldn't stay there again.
After travelling for 10 hours, it was nice to experience a quick and efficient check in. The continental breakfast was amazing, food was plenty, a lot of choices and taste good! Great, friendly staff!!!!!!
I enjoyed staying at the holiday inn. My friends and I. Had a great time staying at the hotel. I would stay there again,
It was my second time staying here. For the price it is good. The room was extremely warm and was unable to adjust the heat. Had to turn on the A/C on a cold December day. Staff is very friendly and the overall cleanliness is good. I would stay there again.
Very reasonable rates included a satisfactory breakfast.. Staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Bit noisy when the hockey teams came in but nothing overly disturbing.
Very handy restaurant next door called Golden Griddle with lovely inexpensive meals. Again the staff were lovely and fridndly.
Had a nice stay at the Hotel. The room is a good size and everything worked just like it should. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby is very welcoming and cookies available in the afternoon. With a restaurant attached to the Hotel, food is not far away either.
The Breakfast was okay. Holiday Inn Express has the same...

The hotel has an old feel about it, but it was clean and the staff were friendly. The included breakfast had plenty of items. Right at the QEW so convenient to get back on the highway
Another pleasant stay at a Holiday Inn Hotel, apart from the usual inadequate breakfast facilities. The problem with the breakfast was mainly the plastic utensils and paper bowls and plates provided, the cutlery was very poor quality and lacked rigidity, we are currently staying at the Holiday Inn Express at Water Street, NYC who appeared to have learnt the lesson... more
Recommended - Very good! Maybe difficult to locate, but once found a good place to stay.
Ok, considering the price. Fridge absent and the hotel could use some refreshing, especially getting rid of carpeting in rooms. Had to evacuate around midnight on Sunday night because of fire alarm, which turned out to be false; probable system malfunction. We did not hear one word of apology from the hotel staff for the incident.
Very comfortable. The staff are very friendly. Wifi works great.
The Staffs are very nice and friendly. The room was ok and it was clean, but the hotel itself seems need some renovations. I was making a trip to Niagara Falls, New York and had been given a certificate to use at this hotel. As it was the half-way point, I figured I'd try it out. The check-in was ok, but it seems that they had some sort of sports groups checking in at the same time. As it was quite late when... more
The hotel was difficult to find where to turn in - we never did figure out where the driveway was leading to the front door. It is an older building and looks like it needs upgrades to furnishings, etc.
All the place is very clean and confident, the lobby is adorable.
Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast just fine. Room could feel and smell cleaner, for sure. Room had no ref, which was a let-down.
Stayed here for one night on a friend's recommendation - very nice sized, clean room and enjoyed the attached Golden Griddle for breakfast. Front desk was pleasant and helpful and we had a good night's sleep. Not a bad area at all. Would definitely come back.
Hotel was clean comfortable 1/2 way between toront and niagra falls close to jcmunro airport great staff goodtime
This hotel is nice overall and what I have come to expect of this brand. It is however, hard to find if you are unfamiliar with the area. I passed the entrance the first time by, but was able to find it when I turned around. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is good. I stayed there twice within... more
This place is fine as long as your expectations for surroundings are low. It's not dangerous; just "tired" and industrial.
We stayed 4 nights in August 2013. We there for a baseball tournament. Hotel is clean, staff was friendly. Housekeeping was fantastic. Smoke-Free Hotel. Beds were comfy and the pillows were... more
The hotel is nice. Great breakfast. Nice room. The room I stayed smelled like smoke even though I asked for a non-smoking room. I ask for two beds and I only had one bed and sofa-bed.
Hard to get to, but very nice staff and facility.
I'm a big fan of Holiday Inn Express - stayed at many over the last few years. This one, as another reviewer noted, is a little bit below their usual excellent standard. Hard to pin down exactly what it is about the place that lends that impression: the hallway ceilings seem unusually low, leading to a dark, cramped effect. They've... more
We picked this hotel partly because of the name and partly because of the location. Most Holiday Inn Express hotels are pretty updated and modern and you kind of expect a standard of accommodation. This one is not. The room is clean, but very dated. The furniture is from the 70's. Our first room smelled of strong stale cigarette smoke,... more
Located in the warehouse district between Hamilton and Stoney Creek, Ontario, this was a pleasant surprise at the end of a long day of travel. I'm not sure I would have found it... more
this hotel is on the old side, but overall it is OK. The beds are comfortable, the front desk associate was very pleasant when we checked in. The only downside to it was the breakfast, I was a bit dissapointed that there were no omelettes for breakfast considering it was a Friday. I would come back if I had to.
Not the quality expected from a Holiday Inn Express. Early March visit, inside hotel temp was likely high 80's F temperature. Airconditioner was so loud it stopped me from sleeping. Nearby party started at 2 am and I could hear the people talking through the air vent across from my bed. Called front desk at 2:45am , nothing happened, and... more
our family stayed at this hotel a few days during a very difficult time - the staff were excellent and even provided us with a better rate due to our circumstances... the hotel is quiet, comfortable and easy to locate.
I stayed at this property for one night on a business trip. Normally I'm quite happy with Holiday Inn Express properties as they are usually newer properties with clean simple modern rooms. This hotel definitely looks like it was some other property and converted over to an HI Express. The rooms were quite old inside and needed a major refresh.... more
Stayed one night while traveling home. Front Desk was very friendly, but the lobby and hallways were SO very hot. Uncomfortably so.

This is a favourite whenever we visit Hamilton. It is not centrally located which is a good thing. At the same time, it is easy to get where you're going. Staff are nice, breakfast is good and rooms fit the bill, all at a decent price. We will be back.
Room was clean and comfortable, beds very comfortable, property was very clean and quiet. Front desk was very responsive when I complained about a malfunctioning fridge. Breakfast was better than I expected, with adequate choices. The cookies and coffee in the lobby were very welcome.
Staff was very knowledgeable and offered good directions as well as dining recommendations.

recent stay over a few days (2 rooms) was very good - although the bathrooms are getting a bit dated the rooms were clean and comfortable - very quiet. Staff very friendly and attended to broken air conditioner immediately. Would stay again.
We were in Hamilton for the marathon and this location is excellent. We stayed at this hotel because it was a sponsored hotel for runners in the Hamilton Road2Hope marathon weekend. Our stay was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was adequate. Service was pleasant. Rooms were nice. Overall, exceeded my expectations.
Always a plesent stay at the holiday inn express Hamilton. Newley renovated bathrooms, excellent staff, bang for your buck, always clean, and amazing service and location. Have stayed here in the past and will continue to do so.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel on the third week of October.
The lobby is nice - the room we had was well appointed and quite comfortable. Not much of a view but that was not the purpose of our stay anyway.
I would recommend this hotel.
I stayed 5 nights during my business trip in Hamilton and i think it's a great cake hotel. The rooms are basic , comfortable , with... more
We booked this hotel through an online discounter - one of the sites where it doesn't tell you which hotel you are staying at until you've paid. This hotel is very run down. Please see the pictures.. For the price go some place else. Wall paper peeling, tub over flow piece missing, grout missing from floor and wall in bathroom. Carpets dirty and mold on the door.
The property had a strong urine odor while we were there. Other guests noticed this. Has items stolen from our car overnight. Not a pleasant stay. Would not recommend unless you need to be in the area. Other properties are nicer/cleaner/newer/cheaper.
The hotel outside and in public areas is very nice and clean, the staff friendly. The location was nice, a bit off the beaten path. First impressions are important, but unfortunately this time they were also misleading. Walking into the lobby, I thought we had a nice place to stay.
