Ate and drank here a couple times during the festival. I'm a Guinness drinker, so they had me at Guinness, but the food was very good too. Good mix of Irish and local fare. The pountine was very good and I had a very good steak that was cooked just the way I ordered. Very hard working, attentive staff and everything, including the bathrooms, were very clean. Clean bathrooms are impressive,... plus
Bad tourist trap. About as Irish as a sombrero. Burgers are mushed mystery meat of a nasty grey matter. They got our money and that is all that they wanted.
Shows you how many new tourists come in. You would not revisit this place. The only good thing was our waiter. He did a nice job.
This pub is located smack dab in the middle of Old Quebec on touristy Rue Saint-Jean.
The outside is impressive and the inside first floor is equally impressive. Too bad the "pub" portion is downstairs in the basement in the rear of the building. Also downstairs is the majority of the restaurant section too.
Overall it's OK. I didn't have any food so I can't really comment about that.

Awesome service. Touristy of course during the day but later on its nice. Liked the terrace.
Boy, i wish my phone had service so i could use my yelp. Saw lots of folks sitting on the outside patio, so thought it was a good place and we were looking for food quick. We ordered kids chicken tender meal with fries and a large cheese pizza to share. How bad hard could that be to make? Awful, chicken tenders processed akin to mcdonald nuggets. Pizza worst than frozen, i think the crust was... plus
Touristy, non-authentic "theme" pub, loosely attempting to resemble a real Irish Pub w/ Irish service. Barkeep didn't even backpour the Guinness, nor let it settle, & I was the only one in the bar area at that time. Sad.
One positive thing: awesome patio
Skip it.
If you were looking forward to an Irish Pub with an Irish menu (I only mention this because it's how they market themselves) prepare for disappointment! It's a fair restaurant - but their pizza and hamburger menu has about as much to do with Irish food as a kielbasa!
They have a nice deck, a decent selection of beer, and service was about average or just a little less than when compared to...

Great little pub with many different rooms and bar areas. The front bar was packed and was the only one open on a Tuesday night. We were a group 17 and we ordered drinks and got a table in the back and it was perfect. We really did not eat there so we couldn't say if the food was good or bad. The service was good.
We passed this place while walking around and it looked as though it could be a fun place, well we were wrong. We were steered to the bar down stairs which was dark and a bit dirty. Service was ok, as was the food. Not a very good selection of beer. There was really nothing special about the place and I would suggest people visit Le Pub Saint Alexander instead.
Thoroughly enjoyed the walk down memory lane in the oldest pub in Quebec City. I loved the cobblestone walls and the dimly lit rooms.
I started the meal with jalepeno poppers; they were so yummy as the cheese was the velvety smooth. For my entree, i ordered the steak frites which was scrumptious.
Would definitely return!
The place is old, smells and has that distinct ambience you find in old pubs. The St. Patrick's has good beer on tap and while I did not eat here the food around me did look appitizing. The bathroom was small and rubbing shoulders at the urinal is a little uncomfortable. It could also use a little cleaning. All in all, not a bad place for a pint.
The sweet potato fries were amazing. Dining in the old stone ammunition room was amazing too. It was nice to get out of the heat and relax. BUT, my burger was less amazing than expected (try Chic Shack instead), as was the service. There was a "Now hiring" sign and our waitress was literally running from room to room and table to table and seemed out of breath and too busy to listen. She... plus
Gord and I were hungry when we arrived in Quebec City yesterday and we had lunch at Pub-St. Patrick.
There was a line-up for a table on the patio so we sat inside.
Gord and I both ordered fish 'n chips (it was cod). It was good.
Frederic was our server and he took good care of us.
Great bar. Excellent live music. Close your eyes, you'll think you're in Ireland.
An Irish bar in French speaking Quebec City? But of course !
Ten of us had lunch here today. The place is huge -many dining rooms, many service bars. The waiter suggested we get pitchers instead of individual beers (cost less) a nice act of customer service. House beers were excellent- we had pitchers of their red and a blonde. Great waiter - super friendly and polite, took a great photo of...

Stopped here for a belgian white and burger. We also ordered some onion rings. The burger was nothing special..pretty dry. My fries were cold. The onion rings were good though and the draft beer was delicious. Burger - $12 , beer $7.50 and onion rings $5.00. Don't think I'd really recommend this place. Nice ambience but the food is lacking.
$14.95 for Fish and Chips. Meh. The fries tasted rancid and there was one small piece of cod. (It was good, but about the size of an egg) The small salad was good but that and the small fish... I left hungry.
Great pub food, great drinks and great atmosphere! We usually come during Carnival for a snack and a drink to warm up but this year we came in the spring and were able to enjoy their outdoor seating perfect for people watching! We had the small nachos and a couple if beers. Great place!
Fairly average pub... would not say that it was great, but would not say it was bad... typical for a tourist pub.
Don't eat here! Ordered a bison burger, the fries were warmer than the burger. Good selection of beers.
Love the ambiance and interior design, has 4 levels. Outdoors, ground floor, cellar and upstairs. Cellar has a bar, old wooden chairs and tables, bean bags and it resembles a quaint pub in a small Irish town. Located in a pretty happening location in the old Quebec city . Haven't tasted the food so can't comment.
Woo hoo! Came here for a delightful little pre fix lunch on my last day in Quebec. Soup, a burger, and a little raspberry tart for roughly 13 bucks? Don't mind if I do. The food is great-particularly the shoestring French fries. Tres bon.
The ambiance was great-it had an awesome Irish pub feel, was meticulously clean, and the downstairs pub area is beyond charming.
Service is the only thing...

I'll give one star for the decor and the attentive waitress, but the food and drink, not so deserving of stars. if you think you know good pizza, do not order pizza here, you will be disappointed. oh and aside from the taste, it is a personal 8" pizza cut in half with salad on the plate which they don't exactly let you in on when you order it for two people. Had we not ordered an appetizer, we... plus
Cool bar right at the top of Rue St Jean. They have several different rooms each with their own vibe. There's a small cave-like (in a good way) bar up front, a courtyard area with seats, and then at least 2 other rooms downstairs that are more like dining rooms. I think there may even be more space upstairs. My GF said they have a lot of outdoor seating in the summer too, although I've only... plus
Had à great time there with my friends! Prices are a bit high though
2 Served, 1 Steak Bland. 1 Chicken in beer sauce not bad, turned my stomach inside out 20 min after eating. Chicken smelled funny :(
I hadn't eaten since breakfast this morning so was hungry. After walking around Old Quebec City for a while, I stopped at Pub St-Patrick for supper.
The pub has ten rooms
I ordered a St. Patrick Blonde ... which was actually a Moosehead. It was tasty.
I ordered an All Dressed Pizza (minus the onions). It was supposed to come with a salad ... I'm not a fan of salads so my server substituted...

Location and service was great. Food was average at best and overpriced. Great beer selection and nice if you want to sit out and enjoy a drink. Too warm inside.
I thought that I would venture into Pub Saint-Patrick because looked pretty busy which is suppose to mean that it is good. The pub is larger than you can tell from this picture. There is one section that is more a sit down restaurant and another which is more a pub for a drink. I decided for the latter. There was music playing that night in the pub but it was very bad. For one thing it was not... plus
Locale is prime real estate which is probably why this business still is in operation. How would unsuspecting tourists know that food/beer was nothing to write home about? Lackluster flavor/presentation. Good service by wait staff, however which warrants the 3 star review. Too many other good pubs in the area to waste time/money here.
Great Service, and wonderful if u want to sit in sun, with a great view from their terrace, and enjoy a beer.
Their french onion soup was really good and they said they make it with local beer cooked into the boullion, but otherwise the food is pretty plain.
Though the sweet potatoe fries did look awesome.
Essentially its an Irish pub, so why are u eating here in french Quebec City anyway.
I'm sure this is a great place to have a few beers late night and watch a sports game, but this is NOT the place for food. It was obviously an afterthought.
The burgers were around 14-17 dollars, which is expensive considering what you got. The burgers were luke-warm, the buns had been toasted about 20 minutes before we actually got them, and the meat was just atrocious. I shared Le Dublin and...

I would give this place 2 stars because the Irish Stew that I had was fine - nothing spectacular but fine for the location (next door to the hotel) on the main drag in old town Quebec. But all the girls' food was bad, dry Bison burger, microwaved chicken in the chicken sandwich (The Belfast) and brie that just didn't smell right! The Dublin burger was equally as nasty, warm and a patty that... plus
This pub is a great place for lunch and a great place for a beer or a cider at night. Located conveniently in the middle of Québec City's old town, you can enjoy your stay on the outside terrace or inside in the nicely decorated rooms.
The food is good, but even better is the location which allows people watching par excellence!
Favorite Dish: some of the light meals you can get there
Went with 4 other people. The best part about this restaurant is that the setting is very beautiful, especially the lower level.
Service was pretty attentive and friendly and prices were pretty reasonable.
On to the food.. My vegetarian sandwich was tasteless (no sauce and no salt/pepper it seems) and in general a pain to eat because of the bread they use and how they fill it. I liked that...

We found it a little sad that a supposedly Irish pub was playing dance and general Top 40 satellite radio junk. Stole away from the atmosphere immediately, as anyone who's been to authentic Irish pubs will understand. The staff didn't like us walking about and checking out the decor, which is weird for a tourist stop. Food alright, house beer flat. Ultimate Irish fail.
Great pub to go to if you want to enjoy some beers, listen to live music, watch sports on the many tv's and\or have some snacks. It's a pub with a great atmosphere but don't expect a menu with a 5 course meal.
I loved this place and will be going there to watch the world cup final.
Don't get confused! This is not just a bar it's also a restaurant. I personally think that the hamburgers here are amazing. This restaurant deserves 5 starts because it has a very good view and location. The service was amazing! It was packed in the restaurant everyone eating and some drinking but I still got my dinner in under 15 minutes. I also think that the decor is really good. The place... plus
I'm not a big fan of "Irish Pubs" - outside of Ireland that is. Once you've experienced the real thing then nothing else is comparable. However as pubs go the St Patrick, in the middle of the Old City, is a characterful, friendly place to drop by for an odd beer or two.
The pub is a labyrinth of rooms, with seating for about 300, and by all accounts gets busy busy on Friday and Saturday nights...

We have been greeted in Quebec city in a very frendly way during our whole vacation. Good food , good people good manners. We went as a group of 4 to the St Patrick pub . The outdoor terrace is well kept. The food is excellent as well as the choice of drinks.
The staff was nice and friendly
Oh! the musicians stirred up the crowd.
It's a wow plus plus
This was an a very popular bar when I was there, probably due to the nice, downtown corner location. I managed to get outdoor seating, as desired. The deck is packed and the tables are abutting one another (just an FYI)
The menu didn't scream Quebec to me, it was sandwiches/soups/fries etc and didn't seem to have a "signature" menu item or feel.
Perhaps if I was there just to hangout, have a...

Historically, the Irish have played a very important role in the development of the city so it is only befitting that we should have a really great Irish pub! The Pub Saint-Patrick is located in a nice old building that used to be an apothecary shop. The first floor has more of a restaurant feel, while the basement, with its low vaults, is definitely more pubbish. The pub offers good food at a... plus
We chose this place to eat because of the name. We had previously gone to Pub Saint-Alexandre for a pitcher of beer. So, we decided to continue the theme through dinner. The food was great, and the ambiance was charming.
The lighting was soft and cozy. There is a lit up sign counting down the days to St Patrick's day!
You have a good choice of Irish beers, which you must try! As well, their...

Nothing special here except a couple beers that were new to my pallette. St. Amboise Oatmeal Stout looked dark and thick like molasses or Guiness and I had a Kilkenny which was yet another thick lager that had beautiful taste. I'm not one for sports bars where the whole crowd is craning their necks towards the evil television, that low roar of a large spectator crowd in the stadium... plus
Around the world I enjoy Irish Pub's the best no matter where they are too. The drinking irish culture is very similar to our own in Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec City had a great Irish Pub on Rue Saint Jean.
It was huge and I'd love to get back there on a weekend. There is usually live music there on the weekends and bigger crowds I am sure.
Happy hour is from 5 - 7 daily :-)

St. Patricks, though it's a touristy place, is a DELIGHTFUL place to go for local or Irish beer.
It's located just left off Rue Ste Jean a few blocks downhill from the hostel, and the staff can give you directions.

One time I asked to sit there with my friends and they...
