Family Restaurant

I've eaten at Peters many times. Food is good. Service is food and portions are good. No complaints. As far as family restaurants go, it's in the top 10 %.

Good wholesome food

The atmosphere at Peter's is warm and welcoming, even for larger families with little children. The food was delicious and wholesome, and the portions were huge. It is a good place to get comfort food, and for feeling like you belong. I would definitely go there again.

Great Deli Sandwiches

This has been a mainstay in Mississauga. With deli sandwiches including smoked meat, the portions are large and filling. This is a busy and popular place with good service. It is located in an industrial area but make no mistake, this is a great restaurant not to be missed.

Food is good but decor is not

They have the best fries i think i've had Canada. Their fish n chips is very good and portions are big. I really don't like the decor though.

Great food

Pete's is an institution in Mississauga. Family owned, their staff are great and have been there for years. The food is always great and the portions are huge, so bring your appetite!

Always Excellent

Close to work so we eat here a few times a year and the food is always excellent. The portions are huge. The selection is great, deli, burgers, roast beef. The Souvlacki is always a great choice and unless you're bigfoot the small order is tons! If you are in the area you should give it a try.

A good value for your money

Peter's on Eglinton is a good example of traditional quality service and very generous portions. The service staff are very attentive, unlike chain restaurants and the portion sizes are more than generous.

Arrive hungry, leave full

We recently dined at Peter's for the first time. Our party of four received wonderful service, the portions~ more than generous (enough left over to take home for the next day's meals), the prices ~ reasonable and the décor ~ pleasant. Have already recommended it to a friend and will continue to do so.

Peter's is always consistent...
They've got great food, wether it would be from the traditional sandwich to the lasagne or the souvlaki (that looks like you've got the entire animal on your plate).
The food always has great flavour and theirs enough on a single portion for 2 to share.

Went to Peter's recently for a birthday celebration. The soups that we led off with, way over salted. It was barely consumable...

I have been to Peter's many times and have never been let down. From the moment you arrive to ample parking and a spotless clean property you know the owner has quality and value in mind. Good Food! Big Portions! Best Souvlaki in town. My all time favourite "Corned Beef on Rye"- Very busy on Saturday's & Sundays for lunch with Seniors (Senior Residence across the road) I really enjoy watching the seniors enjoying their food.
The restaurant is very airy with wicker chairs - very homey feeling

I have been going here for years, and I have never had a souvlaki dinner elsewhere that is better than Peters on Eglinton. Portion size cant be beat, and taste is fantastic.
Prepare to bring leftovers home no matter what you order as the portions are big.

Some people may complain that the prices are high, but when you consider the food portions it comes closer to a meal and a half per person. The service was great, the food was tasty and we had a great time. I particularly enjoyed the fish.

A lot of well cooked Italian food on a plate

We went out with hungry bellies and still could not finish the food on the plate! However the food is really tasty. You know how at some places they throw so much food on the plate and its not even good? Well that is not the case here!

Choices

Pete's is a family favourite choice. The menu options are plentiful and you can never walk away hungry! Service is excellent. The staff is friendly. It is worth the wait.

Doggy Box size and quality

I go here when I want a good meal of baby beef liver. I order it with bacon and onions.
My wife usually has pasta; last time it was Fettuccine Alfredo.

Worth your money

I've been here for lunch and dinner on numerous occasions and the food is always terrific. Large portions and always enough for lunch the next day.
Not the place to go if you want a romantic dinner, as it's always packed and can get quite loud.

Judge a restaurant by the crowd

You know the food is good when the restaurant is packed with those who call this food "as mama made"
Go for the great food, but not for a date night. Its too busy, noisy and no table service.

Very good smoked meat

I will admit my bias up front by saying the best smoked meat can be found in Montreal. It is very hard to find decent smoked meat in the Toronto area. I was pleasantly surprised by how good their smoked meat is here. Huge portions as well. The fries are pretty good as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Took a while to get seated then after ordering drinks had to ask someone to find our waiter to get our drinks and take our food order. Another half hour and of course food was cold and dry. The portions are huge! Atmosphere is great! For a busy lunch, the service was great!

The quantities of food here are immense. Usually the food is excellent, service is quiet and good if seated at a table. The single small souvlaki is almost too much for 2 to eat. Don't order the large! If waiting for take out, watching the organized and confusing ballet of staff in the tiny kitchen is by itself worth the price. However, the food is a great reward.

The food was OK, but the portions were too big, and I find this rather wasteful.

Huge portions! The first time I went I ordered the small souvlaki and when it came I told the waitress that I had ordered the small....she said it was the small.....trust me this was no small souvlaki! The sandwiches are huge - I mean eat with a knife and fork huge! Great place.
